Chapter 311 311. FAULT
“With this form you can reach your opponent or opponents in no time, allowing you to deliver devastating attacks as quickly as possible. Best with a weapon,” Elder Sarah’s charged voice rang out all around Noah, and it managed to overshadow the sound of the erratic lightning bolts her figure released. Some thin tendrils reached his figure, burning through his clothes immediately. It didn’t matter that they were inscribed, the mere tendrils were enough to reach him.
“This form is one step above the first form. It utilizes Surge but in a more refined way. With enough mastery, you should be capable of doing all this. But it draws a lot of stamina and requires a lot of control,” her charged voice boomed all around him before she suddenly came to a stop right in front of Noah’s figure.
His eyes were wide open at that level of speed. Her movement had been silent and quick, so quick he hadn’t seen her arrive except after she did.
Her eyes blazing with whitish-green light stared into his, and some of the currents running on her body landed on his body, once again burning through his clothes, but only creating black spots on his skin.
“Think of this like a charged state, but not even my mana is in play, this is merely the expression of my affinity. This is the path to tier 4.” She ended. Canceling the form, effectively brought her back to normal. After which she let out a soft breath.
Her last words piqued Noah’s interest, but he felt certain she wouldn’t tell him anything else than she had let out. She had this belief that not everything had to be given to a person since doing so would ruin their potential as a cultivator striving to reach immense heights. The individual had to discover things on their own.
“The second form requires a deep knowledge of your body and its physical capabilities mainly based on how fast you think your body can go before falling apart, and how agile and flexible you are, don’t forget stamina. Staying in that state for too long is going to cost a devastating amount of stamina,” she explained, never looking away from Noah’s eyes. Noah felt awkward about it.
“Thunder Clap, the third Form is pretty simple, I’ll show you,” she announced after a few seconds of silence.
Her figure flickered and reappeared a few ten meters from Noah’s figure. “You might want to protect yourself for what is to come,” she advised, and Noah didn’t hesitate to cast his speed armor and hide Muliix underneath his attire.
Sarah nodded in approval and her battle-honed aura exploded from her again. This time it felt more choking than before, and Noah didn’t even understand how such was possible. It seemed she had never revealed her complete power.
Tendrils of electrical currents began to exit her figure as she crouched and bent forward, before taking a slow breath, which was actually three strong breaths.
She spread her arms as one would if they prepared to clap, but Noah saw her muscles bulge from beneath the fallen long sleeves.
Electrical currents continued to gather around her until she clapped.
The clap had seemed to move in slow motion, but that was as a result of how fast all fifteen of them had been.
An earth-shaking boom followed by shock waves far more powerful than the execution of the first form shook the entire room spreading cracks on the walls, even if inscriptions were protecting them. They failed.
The power within the claps sent Noah flying. His armor didn’t even last an instant before the power of the shock waves, and his internals suffered since he had not been fast enough to react. His instincts seemed to have shut down just before the devastating clap resounded in the room like an explosion of tens of dynamite.
Elder Sarah became obscured by the outpouring shock waves, which were so dense that they had turned to white mist tinged with a green hue.
In an instant, she had become a storm in her own right, since even the entire mansion shook, and cracks spread on its mighty walls.
The effects of the clap or claps had barely three seconds, but great damage had been done to the entire mansion.
“My mansion!… Crap! I went overboard!” Elder Sarah’s voice rang out as she dashed out of the room to witness the damage that she had dealt to her abode. 𝙚𝙙𝙤𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝒎
Noah on the other hand found himself nursing myriads of injuries. Thanks to his intuition to keep Muliix on his chest, his heart was okay, but the entirety of his internals was in shambles.
Blood poured out of his nose and mouth, thankfully his healing had kicked in to not allow him go unconscious, not from the pain; it only registered like what a severed limb would feel like, but from the shock, his body had experienced.
Noah felt his vision blur greatly, and he tried his best to remain awake. However, he noticed that his arms were in shambles on the inside, and his legs lacked any energy to even move about.
Noah could see death close to him, but the reality of what had just occurred still shook him. His eyes began to get heavy and an incredible urge to close them befell him. His healing wasn’t fast enough to fix him in one go, so he had a greater chance of dying.
It didn’t matter that his energy reserves had only halved during the past 12 days, as he had waited to see how long his reserves could last. The results were amazing.
Noah could feel his breathing begin to get heavier and slower, as deep darkness began to encroach his vision from the edges of his eyes even if he still had them wide open, at least for now.
No thoughts managed to rush into his darkening consciousness in that period, but one eventually appeared when it seemed he would really end there.
‘What about my revenge.’ Those words seemed to spark life into his eyes, but were as a result of the sudden surge of energy he experienced. Which was closely followed by the appearance of a blue panel.
[Effects of the Dragnai pill has elapsed]
[Healing speed will return to normal and pain sensitivity ill return to normal]
Noah took a deep air-hungry breath at that point as he felt his body begin to burn essence and fix his body rapidly. Elder Sarah returned to the room at that point and her first remark almost caused a vein to pop in his head.
“Look what you’ve made do! This Is all your fault!” her obnoxious voice rang out loudly.
