Chapter 305 305. BRIEF HISTORY
A curse exited Elder Sarah’s mouth at that event. ‘I forgot to turn on the protections,’ she muttered exiting the room to go do what she said.
Noah on the other hand remained too busy dealing with the incredible pain he felt, to notice that she had left. His mouth continued to cough blood as he felt his insides twist and turn in pain. The punch had been devastating, his healing had kicked in but he had to wait a bit before all could be well.
A few seconds passed before Noah could regain proper focus and work his way out of the hole his body had dug. Getting out allowed him to realize that his master had left, but his mind was now experiencing shock.
A series of dry coughs escaped his lips before he could properly stand. That action revealed his not completely healed state. His eyes needed a few more seconds to stabilize, and he never stopped feeling astonishment.
“She’s strong. Too strong,” Noah’s face twisted as what he considered the last of his healing phase passed. The process of healing had ended up eating up 9k worth of SE. He didn’t like it but he also couldn’t do much. Nevertheless, he wouldn’t hold back anymore.
“Are you ready to give me your all,” Lady Sarah entered after the whole room lit up with different colored inscription. The hole Noah had dug soon began to repair itself, but the process didn’t even register to him.
Noah crouched and shot forward after a few seconds of staring, his figure flashed beside a casually smiling Sarah, but before she could move, he suddenly reappeared behind her. His leg shot forward to deliver a kick on her side, but her figure flickered to reappear behind him!
With all his focus on trying to move, Noah swore he had already begun his sprint but the blow that reached his shoulder sent him flying faster than he could escape that position.
“Sorry I won’t attack again. I got a bit excited,” Lady Sarah smiled wryly at a healing Noah.
His right shoulder had turned into a mess, even if no injuries appeared on his skin. Noah felt speed essence vanish from his core to deal with that injury. That attack had allowed him into realizing that her casual blows could damage his insides. There didn’t seem to be any need for more tests, her power had already humbled him.
Nevertheless, he understood how she didn’t give him her best in return, even if she was already faster and stronger than him. The reality angered him beyond reason, but he only allowed his facial expression and a few words to be the window to those thoughts.
“You’ll die if I give you my best,” Elder Sarah explained shrugging. “You’re already doing amazing. Your body requires me to utilize twenty percent of my strength. Many higher stage cultivators would need about thirty, you’re already pretty close to them for someone only at the beginning of the middle stage.”
Her words hit the spot, managing to quench his anger even if he still didn’t like that reality.
Noah exhaled sharply after a few seconds, it was a shame he couldn’t empower himself, but she was right, he needed to train his body.
Noah swept his gaze on the surrounding areas for a plan to strategically hit her, however, he felt a sense of loss since n matter what he did, he would land a hit, and she wasn’t going to move.
Noah’s figure soon flickered from his figure to appear right in front of lady Sarah, his right foot rose to deliver a powerful kick, which it did, on her side.
The ground beneath the duo quaked as all that force traveled down Sarah’s body to rush into the ground, however, she herself had not moved an inch, and her face didn’t show the slightest struggle.
Noah gave up at that scene. The kick had contained literally all his body could muster, he felt certain that a peak middle-stage expert would snap in two if it hit them.
His figure flickered again and he appeared a bit more than 10m from Elder Sarah.
“Is that enough for you,” Noah inquired feeling a bit down.
“Nah… give me two more,” she replied with a light smile.
Noah flickered beside her immediately after she finished her words and another kick smashed into her side, only managing to ruffle her clothes. He then appeared before her to punch her in the gut. He felt like he had punched a metal wall.
“So what do you think,” Noah asked sitting on the ground near depressed.
“Well, I have to admit that you are incredibly strong. This level of strength belongs to the higher stage, even if it falls short the deeper we go into it. The point is your body probably doesn’t need tempering, it’s already at its best, seeing as you didn’t break any bones attacking me.”
“There’s still a bit I can do in that aspect of your prowess, but you already surpass the majority of middle-stage cultivators. This means the only teaching you require of me is a fighting style,” she explained placing her hand on her chin.
“You really are something else,” she exclaimed at some point, “If you continue like this, you might actually be the most monstrous expert available in the entirety of our nation.” her head shook shuddering a bit. .
“So what will I be learning?” Noah asked feeling his mood lighten.
“Well I’ll be forcing you into creating a proper battle style, and also passing my martial art unto you,” Elder Sarah replied getting serious.
“Why?” Noah asked recalling the words of the tier 4 lady in the pool.
“I’ll be telling you my reason when I see some improvement in you,” she snorted in response. “For now, I’ll give you a brief history of my martial art, after which we’ll begin our real training tomorrow.”
Noah nodded in response and limited himself to remaining silent.
“The martial art I utilize was created a few centuries ago and has had only four practitioners if you exempt the person I had to kill. According to my master, it is a combination of more than one martial arts making it really complicated, but the main focus is as you’ve seen, speed.” she began.
