Chapter 18 18. WEAPON
Noah could see every inch of the 10 meters radius, he felt like an all-seeing god even if on a tiny scale.
This ability would make it so that he would not be able to be caught off guard in a fight.
While Marveling at the new ability, a message popped up.
[Due to you advancing to tier 2 all former spells will undergo evolution. During this period spells will be unavailable]
[Time for evolution to complete 2hours]
“What the fuck. Why now? I was about to go test my new spells” Noah complained.
Seeing that there was no response, not that he expected one, he sighed helplessly.
But before he could move on from the disappointment a message popped up again.
[Due to you being a tier 2, requirements to unlock your first weapon have been met]
[You have 5 weapons to choose from]
[Sword, Bow, Daggers, Staff, spear]
[Please select a weapon, A manual would be provided]
See this Noah was shocked, then he turned serious, and even sat down. This was a matter that would determine his fighting skills. He had only been slashing without any technique, from the earth he knew about martial artists that trained themselves in a particular weapon until it became part of them.
So now that he could choose a weapon, and would be provided with a manual he had to be very careful.
Thinking through the options he had, firstly he wouldn’t choose a bow. His greatest strength lay in his speed, a bow would slow him down, or would force him to stop running to attack if he was in a fight.
Secondly, he wasn’t sure about daggers, they would greatly help in speed but at a cost of him moving closer to his opponent, which wasn’t something he would like, and besides, he had the energy blade for a dagger-like an attack variety.
Thirdly was the spear, he didn’t even understand what it was used for, was it for throwing or stabbing, he didn’t know, and besides, it wouldn’t look cool.
So now his decision was between the staff and the sword, truth be told he would have probably chosen a sword, but again he had his energy blades, unless they couldn’t cut through his opponent, he would not need a sword, and also he had trained with a staff In his former life. With his brother not being on good terms with him, and his father at work. He got bored and decided to learn some staff manipulation skills, to pass time.
So then, with uncertainty, he chose the staff.
[Would you like to choose the Staff]
[Yes/No]
[Your choice cannot be reversed]
Clicking yes with his mind, Noah watched as the panel disappeared, then immediately after, an unsettlement in the fabric of space appeared.
A hole the size of a basketball opened right in front of him.
Then a staff emerged from inside it. After the staff came out a book followed it. With both out, the hole closed as fast as it opened.
Noah raised an eyebrow at this, he wondered what type of power would make space open like that. Pushing those ideas to the back of his mind, Noah inspected his weapon.
On the ground was a long staff around 7ft long, it was brown, and it looked weird, “Is that rust?” Noah asked himself dumbfounded, “This must be some kind of joke,” Noah thought, trying to lift the staff
“Heavy!” Noah grunted, he couldn’t lift the damn staff up As he was about to curse the system, a message popped up.
[Enchanted weapon identified]
[Analyzing weapon…..]
[Analyzing complete]
[Staff of the Monkey king]
[Grade ???]
[Infuse with Mana]
Noah raised an eyebrow, immediately doing as the system told him to.
Immediately he did that. He felt an invisible line connect him and the staff. It felt weird like he had always had the staff. ππππ£π€ππποΌππ
Immediately after the connection was made, the staff began to shine with
a golden radiance, it’s rust began to fall off like sand. After a few seconds, it stopped shining and when Noah inspected the staff it left him speeches.
The staff was 7ft long as mentioned earlier. It was banded with gold that circled the staff on each end, it’s body was obsidian black with inscriptions along with it, that seemed to pulse with energy,
There was a spot in the middle of the staff where the inscriptions originated, which seemed to be for his hand to be.
Nonetheless, the staff was breathtaking
Immediately after he finished the inspection a message shining with gold popped up.

[Other skills, Astral Entanglement, Shapeshifting #@#) Currently locked]
Noah’s head was about to leave his neck, the boosts that the staff brought were crazy, and that was only for his current level !!
The skill that it also brought was actually awesome, and once again it was not all, He noticed the unreadable words in the locked section meaning he wasn’t strong enough. And also the fact there were other Elements that he had never heard about.
He wondered if he was capable of having more affinities than he currently had.
Shoving that to the back of his mind, he was excited to try the staff out, so he tried picking it up again, and to his greatest surprise, it felt incredibly light yet he knew it was very heavy, this was probably due to him being the soul bond. He Activated its Elemental charge skill, Picking Lightning first.
And immediately the runes on the staff lit up, Then its shape began to flicker, it then began to morph, its body becoming like pure electricity, while the formerly golden band ends, condensed forming a thick blade.
Noah was astonished by the result, he decided to wave the staff, and to his surprise, it released curved blades of condensed energy that flew towards where he waved.
Gaining a sweet idea, Noah waved the staff at a tree, A curved blade made of condensed energy shot out, cutting the first tree, and even going on to cut Four other trees behind it, before the energy blade lost power.!!!
Noah’s eye widened, this thing was very dangerous, He decided to cast his lightning bolt skill, and to his surprise, two magical circles each the size of a large baking pan, appeared at the end of the staff, and
BOOM!!
A lightning bolt the size of a tv shot out, obliterating all in its path.
“Dayum” Noah explained,
his day was getting better by the second. Though he knew he was currently burning Mp, still he changed the Element to Air, This time its body became a swirling tornado in his hands. But for some reason, it was solid in his hands.
Trying it out Noah found that, unlike Lightning, The staff did not shoot out blades but arrows made of condensed air.
Whenever he waved the staff arrows would materialize instantly, before shooting out to his target.
He cast “Air Spears” and two magic circles appeared at the edge of the staff, then five Spears made of dense air materialized, and they floated in front of him until he willed them to attack.
Happy with the results of the tests, Noah had found that the staff could be used as both a weapon and a channel to cast spells.
Noah tried the Cloud storage skill, and to his surprise, the staff shot upward, into the sky. Then he willed it to come back, and then it shot down from the sky, landing perfectly in his grip.
“Cool,” Noah said raising one of his eyebrows,” This would make for a very bad a*s scene,” Noah said chuckling.
With all that done Noah dropped the staff, only to find that it floated instead of dropping to the ground like the heavy piece of metal, that it was.
“This is probably the best thing that has happened to me,” Noah said wiping out fake tears from his eyes.
Picking up the brown book, Noah dropped all plans of getting to the city early, he was going to learn whatever was in this book before leaving for the city.
