Chapter 169 169. EFFECTS
‘Fast!,’ Noah exclamained inwardly, seeing as the entity turned into a blur immediately he returned into the woods.
Noah quickly unfolded his mental waves to pinpoint his location, and a wave of shock filled his mind, when his consciousness found nothing.
Now that he thought to it, the entity had been aura-less, and he had only been able to notice him due to his entry into the range of consciousness. Not even his heightened Instincts notified him before that.
Nevertheless, Noah tried to search the area. Without his true speed of course.
He could be dealing with someone potentially dangerous, and wouldn’t risk revealing the only thing that made him different.
But he gave up after a few minutes, as his consciousness found the man to no avail.
Noah quickly returned to his fire, and found that it remained as it was a few minutes ago.
Now realizing that he wasn’t alone, Noah couldn’t fall asleep, and kept reviewing the mysterious male.
Half of this was because of the entitys looks, while the other half was simply out of pure curiosity and marvel. .
‘It seems there are truly other races out there,’ Noah thought, utterly amused.
If he hadn’t know any better, he would tag the individual; an angelic being, as his features were simply too striking, even if their encounter barely lasted more than a few seconds.
The night eventually passed, but the individual never returned.
Feeling not the least bit fatigued, for he could stay up for weeks, Noah destroyed the fire, and prepared to move.
But now that an unknown individual could potentially have eyes on him, he felt shy to act, and also couldn’t reveal his secret. He would have to kill the enity if his secret got out.
The tingling sensation of potentially being watched got so sensually deafening, that Noah noticed his actions become stiff, and he soon found himself calling out to the individual.
Needless to say no response returned, making Noah feel even more suffocated, and the space around him eventually gave birth to air based spells.
Large spears of condensed air materlized around him in their tens, and his mind didn’t hesitate to send them forward.
Thetrees before him experienced a disturbance, as powerful explosions resounded every now and then.
A sizeable chunk of the ground and trees before him, vanished as a result of those attacks
Noah felt tempted to utilize one or two of his more powerful spells based on that affinity, but he opted for more spears, even though they cost a relatively significant bit of his SE.
A minute eventually passed and Noah never stopped spamming his ‘Air spears’ skill during that period.
At this point he had cleared hundreds of meters of land and a large crater had begun to form in front of him.
From above that land mass, he seemed to shaved that portion of the ground.
Feeling his core reach a critical state, Noah stopped the spells, and quickly drank two bottles of speed essence potions.
He trusted the rising cloud of black dust to shield him from whoever was looking, though only for a few seconds.
His core quickly returned to its filled state, and Noah felt unsure of his next move would be
Silence reigned for a few seconds, as Noah waited for any sort of retaliation from the mysterious entity.
Nothing happened for another minute, and it eventually dawned on him that he was probably alone there.
Nevertheless, his paranoia wouldn’t let him use his speed in the open, and he soon found himself crouching to place both his palms on the ground.
Shutting his eyes to envision a large wall, big enough to completely shield him from prying eyes; Noah moved essence to bring his imagination into reality.
The ground rumbled as Noah’s surroundings experienced a significant drop in temperature. Ice soon escaping Noah’s palms to do as he willed it.
120 SE vanished from his core, to give rise to a powerful looking wall, over 50ft in height, and around 150ft in length.
The wall being 9 inches thick, stood tall above Noah, and a feeling of satisfaction permeated his mind at that sight.
Quickly moving on to the real reason for that wall, Noah focused his gaze on the sparkling blue lake before him.
His Instincts warned him about dangerous beings potentially lurking in that lake, and Noah felt his focus reach its max.
He didn’t plan on delaying his movement even by a milliseconds, for his instincts assured him that such would most likely lead to his death.
Speed essence moved in his body and Noah experienced a state of strength allowing him feel like he could take on anything.
He felt ready to move, when something strong struck his ice wall.
Noah watched for a few instants, large pointy green vines burst out of his wall.
The ground beneath him have birth to hundreds of snaking vines as they tried to reach him, but he had moved by this point.
Glancing back after a few seconds of moving around mach 1, he felt a wave of surprise hit him at what he witnessed.
He watched his ice wall crumble, and managed to make out five figures gazing at his yellow streak.
One of the five figures suprisingly jumped on the lake, a series of vines materializing under their feet, but Noah sped up, and he seemingly vanished.
Only the disturbed water being evidence of his passage.
Increasing his velocity to its max, Noah seemingly parted that lake as his movement was simply too Incredible.
Although spending more essence, he quickly arrived at the sandy shore just before the great wall, and his earlier evaluation about its height was spot on.
The white wall stood around 700ft in height!
Noah wondered why something so large was even needed, but the power of the beasts in that region explained why.
He looked tiny compared to that Incredible wall.
His feet took him closer to the walls base, and he felt mesmerized by its whiteness, prompting his touching it; an action he shouldn’t have taken
A series of multicolored inscriptions appeared on the spot touched, and a buzzing sound soon escaped the walls material, as a beam of blue light holding power at the peak of tier 3 burst out.
Luckily, still having the speed forces effects at the tip of his mind,
Noah managed to sprint out of that position, but not without getting his left arm almost completely blown off by the attack.
Pain quickly spread in his mind at that serious injury. A significant chunk of his left arm had vansihed. But he felt able to bear the pain, as essence soon left his core to repair that limb.
‘No touching,’ Noah concluded, retrieving his map. He had arrived at the back of the city, and needed to know where its gates were.
Noah feared running on it, part because of the deadly defenses placed on it, but mostly because of the protection it would have on the inside.
The city could even possess a barrier that he definitely wouldn’t be capable of breaking into.
During those few seconds of Inspecting the map, Noah heard the wall rumble, as a cubical portion of tha structure opened to give way for three Individuals,
their power being something that Noah couldnt face now.
The group of three managed to lay eyes on him for an instant, but his figure turned into a bright yellow streak before they could fully make out his features, or act.
Their dumbstruck expressions couldn’t be more evident, but being existence’s in the higher-stage of tier 3, they quickly regained their regal composures,S and returned into the city’s walls to alert the higher ups of the strange sighting.
The security of all ten gates the city had were immediately beefed up.
Any suspicious looking individual had to be immediately apphrended and questioned.
These were the effects of Noah’s first arrival to the Dragons claw city.
