UNLIMITED SPEED

Chapter 158 158. WORDS

After the internal incident, did he. perceive the sweet scent of flowers that Elle’s body emitted. The fragrance felt so intoxicating that Noah thought he would pass out from prolonged exposure.

Her neckline glistened in the rooms light, and he felt mesmerized by its shine. Noah soon felt his right hand rise to get a feel of her neck, but a cold material obstructed him, sending shivers down his body due to its temperature.

A wave of surprise shook Noah back to rationality, when his eyes fell on the sword stopping his hand.

Tracing the sword back to its source he found that the owner was none other than Elle’s personal guard.

Her eyes were cloudy as she seemed to lose focus multiple times in the span of an instant. Even the sword in her grip shook to no end, and it eventually disappeared.

Noah focused on her face amidst his pleasure seeking desire, and realized that Frela’s face was flushed.

Actually it had gone bright red, and she soon slouched on the chair to place her right arm on her face, shuddering every once in a while.

The weird sight caused Noah to sweep his equally cloudy gaze on the Individuals around the table, and his mind experienced another wave of clarity at the scene he witnessed. 𝒃𝒆𝙣𝒐𝒗𝙚𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝒎

Every one of them had bright red faces, and either placed their head on the table or slouched backwards to calm themselves. Moans even escaping their mouths once in a while.

Then did it dawn on him that he wasn’t necessarily drugged for evil intentions, since everyone was given the exact same drink.

He felt embarrassed to think that an aphrodisiac laced tea was the best the place had to offer.

Then again, if he paired the unique drink with the half naked waitresses walking around, it would sound more reasonable as to why that was so.

Even Elle shuddered every second, and she eventually placed her head on the table to gain control of her body, muffled moans escaping her lips.

Heated breaths still exited Noah’s nose, but he didn’t feel the anger he desired to experience, since the whole situation was only a misunderstanding.

‘Lesson one, always ask what the tea does,’ Noah tried to giggle, but only heated moans escaped his mouth.

Placing his hands on the table he pushed his body up, and felt it quiver to no end. His knees tried to give up on him, but essence soon seeped out of his core to reinforce his whole body. But he also went sober in the process.

Noah felt his mind tremble in shock at that event. He hadn’t expected the speed essence to cure him, but it did. Instantly even.

Walking out of the cafe, Noah took a big breath of fresh air. The seconds he had spent being under the influence of the love potion had quickly made him forget what fresh air tasted like.

Reasoning to the fact that his hosts were under the influence of 200% increase in their sexual desires made him tremble. He wondered why they would do such to themselves.

“I would run mad,” Noah muttered, then he spent the next ten minutes gazing at the main roads in which only carriages rapidly moved.

The jumble of sounds smashing Into his ears gave him a sense of peace that the forest had made him forget, and his mind eventually began to wander.

‘I got lucky,’ Noah eventually said Inwardly, his face cold while he reviewed what had just occurred, ‘I could have actually been poisoned,’ He reprimanded himself.

But the event taught him something very useful, and he didn’t hesitate to gain better understanding from the system.

[[The speed essence doesn’t actually heal you. It only empowers your body enough for it to seem like it healed you]]

“So all that; was my body’s doing?,” Noah questioned.

[[Yes. But it wouldn’t be able to do so without the unique quality speed essence holds. Mana cannot do what the speed forces’ energy did]]

“What quality does the speed forces’ energy hold, that makes it more powerful and special than mana?,” Noah tried to probe the system of juicy Information, but it saw right through him since no reply arrived.

Giving up on trying to outsmart the mighty system, Noah decided it was time to leave. He didn’t want to stay with the group any longer, but he also didn’t know his way around the city, and not even his maps provided that information.

“Hey,” A female voice shook Noah out of his thoughts.

Glancing at the owner of the voice, Noah felt slightly surprised to lay eyes on the red haired girl.

“What do you want?,” He spoke trying to sound polite, but failed.

The young woman didn’t seem to mind his tone, since she walked closer to his figure to stand right next to him, and stare at the blue sky.

A frown appeared on Noah’s eyebrows at that sight, and he soon felt ready to say something, but she beat him to it.

“I apologize for what happened back there,” She stated without focusing on him.

“But it wasn’t your fault,” Noah replied. “Although i desire to know why they would purchase such,” Noah announced, but she didn’t immediately reply, limiting herself to gaze at the sky for a few more seconds.

“That was for relaxation,” She eventually replied looking directly into Noah’s eyes.

Focusing on his blue eyes, she tried her best to understand the person in front of her. She needed to; for what she was about to do.

But the calm and confident expression he constantly wore wouldn’t allow her do that. Nothing seemed to worry the beautiful man, and she eventually voiced a soft sigh.

Noah felt far more uncomfortable than he had ever felt in his time on Creagar. The young woman had eyes that unnerved him. Trying to dig out his thought process and find something that shouldn’t be said.

He felt mildly unsafe around her.

“For relaxation?,” Noah raised an eyebrow

“Yes,” She stated, “We just got back from a week long mission, and had decided to come here for tea. Lady Elle simply found you along the way and invited you” She explained.

Noah limited himself to nod at her words before voicing another question.

“How come you recovered so fast,” He asked.

“I would ask you the same,” She stated, “I had a healing potion at hand. You?” She answered his question, her eyes still on him.

“My body dealt with it,” Noah replied vaguely but truthfully.

The duo kept their eyes on each other for a few seconds, before shifting their focus to the sky. Where a large ash feathered bird could be seen hovering in the midst of five men, all suspended by elemental platforms.

The bird seemed scared, for it frantically tried to escape the figures surrounding it. People soon began to stop to watch the scene play out, Noah himself feeling slightly amused.

“This happens very often,” The red haired lady announced, “A magical beast loses its owner and goes on a rampage,” She explained without moving her gaze, her words only gaining another nod from Noah, who also didn’t shift his gaze.

The beast eventually launched attacks at the five lower-stage tier 3 cultivators. High-pitched screeches spreading erratic windy waves, which managed to push the cultivators backwards. But they too; began attacking.

Noah felt surprised to find that the five cultivators couldn’t directly deal with the beast.

Not even after minutes had passed, and more soldiers of the city arrived to reinforce the five.

The battle got so heated that those on the ground had to move to avoid falling projectiles, of either rocks or flames.

“Incredible,” Noah couldn’t help but mutter at the fight scene. Now did he understand how monstrous he really was. Managing to bring down even a weakened middle-staged beast was a feat most cultivators at his level could only dream of.

A powerful, and seemingly final explosion, eventually resounded. As flames and charred rocks flew everywhere, blocking the view of the sky-high battle.

Everyone watching immediately sighted a large object barrel downwards. Its structure being shrouded by the black smoke in the sky, leaving a trail of smoke as it descended rapidly.

The object eventually revealed itself to be the large bird as it fell towards Noah’s position.

Noah realized this and he didn’t hesitate to pour SE into creating a bowl like structure above he and the lady beside him, but she had also acted, only a second slower.

A deep yellow magical circle expanded beneath her feet, and three golems made of stone rose to try and catch the large bird.

The peak tier 2 golems being over 13ft in height rushed forward with their rocky hands raised, but Noah’s bowl-like structure caught the bird before they could.

The red haired woman snapped her head towards Noah’s position, her eyes filled with surprise as she had not sensed his mana move to create anything, and so fast at that.

The dense bowl of air kept the bird whose length stood around 16m, and each wing stretching for around 8 to 11m in sheer length!

Noah eventually released the ash feathered bird from his spell, and the golems caught hold of its badly wounded body until the soldiers came to retrieve it.

Noah saw that they shot thankful gaze’s at him, and he gave a slight nod in return.

Glancing at the red haired lady to see how she was doing, Noah laid eyes on her Intense gaze, and her next words managed to startle him.

“I want to be your companion,” She announced moving closer to him. Her experesion that of dead seriousness.
