Chapter 139 139. LEARNT NOTHING
Noah watched the two cultivators get blown away, as multiple Injuries filled their body. Jon himself wasn’t too far off, but he had managed to proctect himself by detonating his rings of flames, thereby repelling most of the force in Noah’s spell.
Noah struck the ground with a powerful thud, sticking the landing. He immediately realized that the ground had receded down by a few feet’s and featured many small craters.
Sweeping his gaze on his enviroment, Noah shot towards a still recovering Jon. Arriving in front of the cultivator, Noah tried to grab his shoulder, but an explosion appeared in his face instead.
“You are strong. Very even. But you lack battle tactic, and experience. You remind me of my early days as an inexperienced cultivator with a lot of drive,” Jon’s voice spread out on the battlefield.
“You need to slow down and plan your moves, or else you will not be able to utilize your strength to its fullest,” Jon added.
Noah felt weird at the advice, but he took it anyway. Placing his two feet on the ground, Noah dug the charred terrain for a few meters before coming to a stop.
As soon as he stopped moving, he heard Jon’s voice amidst the smoke that had risen up, due to the explosions.
“Let’s really start the fight now,” The man’s voice boomed across the whole battlefield, as to Noah’s shock, his instincts felt danger.
Not even a second after the voice ended, the black smoke blocking Noah’s view, suddenly cleared, as two large slashes made from pure orange flames, shot towards his position at Incredible speeds.
The slashes radiated power at the peak of the lower-stage of tier 3, almost falling into the next stage in terms of quality. Noah didn’t know how he understood this, but he did.
Pointing his right hand at the large slashes, Noah moved essence into the action he was about to take.
Snapping his finger when the slashes were just a few meters from him, Noah caused that simple action to generate a thin film between he and the slashes, only that in that film he poured over 200se into it.
The slashes immediately landed on the film, and struggled to cut through it.
Noah didn’t have the time to rejoice at that small success, since an orange magical circle expanded beneath him, even stretching for a few hundred meters more.
Noah immediately spread his consciousness at that sight, but the spell activated at that point.
Chains made from pure flames shot out of the magical circle. Latching into his body like hooks, they then went on to wrap around his body.
“You shouldn’t have stayed stationary. Your most powerful threat to your opponent is your Incredible mobility, do not let it get taken away,” Jon’s voice struck Noah’s ears like a church bell, shock filling Noah’s mind when his ear drums suddenly began to burn, before completely burning from the Intense heat.
Pain spread through Noah’s mind, but he barely flinched, only surprise being evident on his face, and also because it had healed already.
The slashes eventually vanished since they hadn’t hit their target after a few instants, allowing Noah to cut his connection with the wall.
Focusing on the chains that had already burnt his clothes completely, Noah tried to enforce his strength on them, by pulling his arms, stretching them in the process. He succeeded in breaking a few chains in that Instant, but Jon had already moved again.
The environment suddenly trembled, as a bright orange light illuminated the environment, even the villagers witnessed the spell come to life.
A blast of searing heat suddenly spread throughout the whole battlefield, burning the still standing trees around them,, and surprisingly destroyed the chains holding on to Noah.
But he had no reason to celebrate over that momentary freedom, since the largest fireball he had ever seen in his time on Creagar, had begun to move towards him, the ground parting way for that Incredible, yet simple spell.
A slight sigh escaped Noah’s mouth in that Instant. His environment slowed down immensely as thoughts flowed through his mind.
He couldn’t just evade the fireball since there might be some other attack, and his unempowered body didn’t have the sheer strength and speed to just run through it.
‘I can’t use my speed here. That would be overkill. I might even be left empty,” Noah thought checking his core but he still had a nearly half filled tank.
Browsing through his air affinity based skills, Noah felt at a loss of option, the cheapest spell there would span for a kilometer In radius, and he didn’t want to pull the weak villagers Into the fight. Heck, even the tier 3 experts watching, had fled.
‘You managed to force me into something I didn’t plan to do,’ Noah nod his head at Jon’s battle prowess.
An object suddenly flashed in Noah’s palm, as he crouched to execute a martial art move he hadn’t used in a long time.
Four illusory arms, yellow in colour and twice as thick as Noah’s, appeared under his real arms, two on each side. Then, two arms appeared directly out of his back, causing him to look like an old being with six arms.
Each pair of arms had a staff assigned to their left partner, causing for four staffs to be present In total.
Noah felt a reasonable amount of stamina vanish from his figure, while 300se created the six arms.
Unlike his first execution of the move, which featured flurries of slashes while he spun Cudgel, Noah had a different plan in mind.
Taking a deep breath, Noah felt those arms begin to crackle with erratic energy, as their Insides got denser, Noah pouring 200se more into them, which resulted in that reaction.
Noah’s environment still moved at a snail’s pace to him, which made him feel confident in the complete execution of that move.
His eyes blazed with a yellow light as he raised Cudgel over his head with both hands holding it. The other arms doing the same, as Noah looked to have multiple hands gripping multiple sword’s, with the arms coming from his back giving that scene a strange look.
Charging Cudgel with the air affinity, Noah brought the staff down, that gesture looked slow but was actually instantaneous.
Immediately his really staff reached the ground, Noah felt his mind tremble uncontrollably, when three lines made purely from the speed forces’s enegy shot towards the fireball, splitting it In three portions.
Time resumed at normal speed at that point, as Noah watched with wide eyes the fireball come to a halt, before exploding due its structure being destabilized.
A large wave of flames washed over Noah, pushing him backwards for hundreds feet, before ending.
Noah shrunk Cudgel and placed it inside his hair at that point, while his passive ability healed the patches of burnt skin on his body. The execution of the ”six arms of asura” had worked
He eventually swept his gaze on his surroundings, and his eyes fell on the damaged environment. Noah realized that he stood inside a crater over 700m in radius and around 2m deep.
The whole place looked black due to the fire spells it had handled and smoke still rose up into the sky. Noah’s eyes fell on Jon at that point, but he immediately knew that the fight was over.
Jon looked sickly pale, and he clearly struggled to keep standing. Noah could also feel his consciousness tremble once in a while.
“What exactly was that?,” Jon’s consciousness interacted with Noah’s since he was to tired to move.
“Something special,” Noah grinned sitting on the ground, not minding his naked state.
“You managed to make me drain myself Mr Will,” Jon shook his head, “Are you even in the level you radiate,” he added, “I can’t even make out what colour your core is. Who exactly are you,” Jon shook his head, while a few bottles appeared around him, and he drank them immediately.
“Like I said, I’m just a lone traveler,” Noah grinned keeping his gaze on the sky, while reviewing the man’s words of advice.
It seemed he hadn’t learnt anything during his time on Creagar, only repeating the same thing he did, which put him into trouble most times.
A sigh eventually escaped his mouth, then he stood up, and began walking towards Jon who had regained a lot of his naturally color.
“I need a place to stay,” Noah said to Jon, who glanced at Noah, and didn’t flinch from the young man’s nakedness.
“Take this….,” A red garment appeared and floated towards Noah, who didn’t hesitate to put it on. 𝒃𝒆𝒐𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝙘𝙤𝒎
“Give me a few minutes to cultivate, I’ll take you to your quarters,” Jon stated, before closing his eyes and cultivating.
Noah could only nod his head, and proceed to study the man’s cultivation process.
