Chapter 114 114. MESS
A few minutes before Noah’s escape, count Pedro could be seen sitting in a nicely decorated room, and in front of him was a man who looked to have just hit the age of thirty.
This young man sat quietly in front of count Pedro, his lips sipping the cup of tea he had been served, while his long blonde air fluttered in the cool morning breeze that entered the room through the wide window, which also illuminated the room by allowing in sunlight.
“I hope your travel wasn’t too harsh. I heard that the roads to get here from the northern regions are filled with powerful beasts,” Sir Pedro initiated a conversation after a few seconds of silence.
The young man who’s name was Nigel, the son of a prominent noble family that had risen up after multiple centuries of hard work in the Cusk nation and had managed to seize lands during the clash between the three main nation’s.
Nigel being the fifth son of the house rose to fame after soloing a region populated with magical beasts his level of power at that time, around a century ago.
The royal family saw potential in him after that Incredible feat and moved to form an alliance with his family, the Deligon noble family, but they had to hold on for over fifteen years to allow Nigel complete his advancement into the fourth tier.
Now, count Pedro was charged to accommodate him for a few months until the representatives of the royal family come to take him, since the distance to the central city was Incredible, taking years to cover even on flying Beasts.
“No it wasn’t. Though they were weak I got the chance to test out my strength a bit,” Nigel spoke sipping more tea.
Count Pedro smiled at that point, it seemed the individual would be easy to talk to.
“Is there anything that I may get you to soothe your arrival,” Count Pedro stood up and bowed.
Nigel raised his eyebrows in mild surprise, multiple thoughts coursing through his grey coloured eyes.
“Actually there is.” he started. “I saw that the towns people were celebrating something, and I would like to get something to eat. It’s been over a decade since I ate something good, and I departed from my home immediately I awoke,” Nigel said standing up from his chair, his eyes landing on the outside world. 𝘯𝑜𝘷𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝘮
“I also heard from my men that you have a prisoner here,” Nigel suddenly said walking towards the window.
A complicated expression flickered on Pedro’s face his mouth opening to talk.
“Yes there is, and he goes by the name Noah,” He answered with a bow.
“Hmm. I would like to see him, but I want to eat,” Nigel chuckled slightly, turning to face Pedro, when his eyes suddenly sharpened, his aura bursting outwards to engulf Pedro’s figure.
Immediately that happened a powerful explosion expanded outwards a massive pillar-like structure erecting Into the sky at amazing speeds.

Noah Instantly found himself barreling upwards rapidly. Already being over a kilometer from the ground. His eyes were wide open as shock filled his mind, but he didn’t let it stay too long.
Glancing at his arms, Noah saw that the chains had been broken, Mana immediately beginning to fill his body.
During that short second the staff continued to grow higher and expanded even further, its base looking like a large golden wall to Noah.
Stopping Cudgels growth, Noah took a deep breath in. it felt like ages since he had a breath of fresh air.
Watching his mp get refilled at a rapid rate, Noah felt the joy of his escape vanish as anger reigned in his mind.
He wanted to make someone pay for his suffering, and he instantly decided on something very dangerous.
Focusing his gaze on Cudgels base, Noah tried to see how high he had gotten but couldn’t.
He had erected the staff in a horizontal position, but as it attained height it began to rise up a bit, enough for Noah to be able to lie on, but all he could see was the sky above him.
Commanding Cudgel to shrink, Noah saw the immense pillar thousands of meters high and hundreds of feet wide, instantly vanish. Dust spreading on the ground due to that sudden emptiness.
Noah immediately began to fall but that didn’t worry him, his eyes were on the portion of the ground tht had a huge hole in it.
Excitement tried to reach his mind at that sight but he cut it short. What he was about to do could end his life but he didn’t care, or rather he he had a back up plan. His advancement.
Grabbing Cudgel while still descending, Noah caused the air beneath him to solidify enough for him to get at least a second of suspension, to complete his attack.
Spending around 40mp on that, Noah activated the speed forces effect on his body.
Immense energy suddenly filled his body. Noah’s former fatigue instantly vanished as strength coursed through his veins, but that wasn’t the main reason for his using that ability.
Orange lightning exited his hand and wrapped around the staff, Noah didn’t stop until he couldn’t see Cudgels surface.
Raising the already vibrating staff above his head, Noah utilized all the strength his body could muster to hurl Cudgel down at an astonishing speed.
A bright orange streak flew towards the ground, the disoriented town’s people barely noticing the streak. When it suddenly enlarged!
Noah caused Cudgel to grow again but this time in a finishing move.
The sky trembled when the massive figure of Cudgel descended down the sky. Doom fell on the towns people as their lives flashed In front of their eyes, death seemed the only outcome of that event.
But just as the massive staff was about to hit the ground, a figure shot towards its base, a tier 4 aura spreading In the city, but he couldn’t do anything, as Cudgel was immensely heavy.
Cudgels massive structure struck the ground with a powerful thud, intense shockwaves barreling out around its base. A large portion of the town being destroyed as hundreds were killed instantly.
Barrages of messages about receiving exp filled Noah’s eyes as he descended.
Landing on Cudgels surface, Noah managed to quickly scan his environment.
Cudgel seemed like a golden land that stretched for almost a kilometer, Noah wondered how he could even achieve that without mana.
Before he could admire his weapon longer, a panel that Noah couldn’t ignore appeared in his eyes, followed by an intense sensation of pain.
[You have broken tier 4 oaths conditions]
[Your Mana pathways will now begin to explode]
[You have ten minutes before death]

Noah’s expression instantly darkened at that prompt, then he vomited blood.
His mind quickly moved to leave that area, but he couldn’t jump down from that height, he would surely die.
‘I wonder if I can let Cudgel reduce in height but retain its width,’ Noah thought desperately.
As if listening to his thoughts, Cudgels length rapidly reduced, Noah almost getting pulled up due to the sudden descension.
Without scanning his absolutely destroyed environment. Noah looked for the nearest signs of forestation, his eyes landing on some which were a few kilometers away, but that wasn’t a problem.
Jumping off Cudgels structure which was around one meter high from ground surface, though it had dug far deeper into the ground, he calmed down a little.
Noah turned Cudgel back to normal and sent it to the sky while he sprinted forward. Unable to see the bloodied figure of Nigel at the bottom of the massive hole his attack had created.
Noah immediately crossed the distance between he and the forest, though with a few struggles. The ground had become an uneven mess due to the power contained in the shockwaves.
Not stopping at the entrance of the forest, Noah continued for just four seconds, then another intense pain spread through his mind.
He instantly stumbled and fell, rolling for a few hundreds of meters, before smashing into a tree.
Mullix receded back into Noah’s body as he coughed bucket’s worth of blood, surprise filling his mind when his eyes fell on blue coloured blood.
Quickly ignoring that aspect of his blood, Noah opened the advancement panel
[You have reached the maximum level
of your current Tier. Would you like
to commence advancement now]
[ Yes/No ]
[All remaining exp gained will be distributed only after you advance]
[Note: Picking ‘No’ doesn’t forfeit your chance of advancing. Whenever you are ready this will reappear]
Ignoring the other messages, Noah immediately picked yes, while another Intense pain struck his senses, this time he almost lost consciousness, blood pouring out of his eyes, noes, mouth and ears.
Noah knew for sure that he would die, but the system managed to surprise him.
[Advancement will begin….]
[ERROR ERROR]
[User has their mana pathways destroyed]
[Generating a new mode to advance..]
[Generating complete]
[Due to users predicament, you’ll have to be stripped of your connection to Mana]
[Do you accept]
[Yes/No]
[Note: If you agree there will be no going back]
Noah didn’t care about anything at that point, the countdown had reached two minutes, and he already felt his life slipping.
Choosing yes, Noah waited for something to happen, but nothing did for a few seconds, his pain even beginning to reach blinding levels.
Noah was about to stand, when his body exploded into a gory mess.
