Chapter 108 108. CHAMBER
“Well the body is a very essential part of a cultivator as we all know,” James started. A bottle and two cups appearing on the bed, James pouring booze into the cups and passing one to Noah.
Gulping down the contents of the cup in one go, Noah ignored the detoxification notice the system showed him. His full attention on the about-to-talk James.
“The body consists of the mostly of the bones, muscles, organs, blood and finally the skin.
And according to what I’ve read there, are multiple pathways in which energy or rather mana flows all around the body to strengthen it as a whole. And these pathways are all connected to the mana core. π»π¨π―πΉ.π°πΌπΊ
Which is why we feel weak when we’ve drained ourselves of mana, even though our bodies are in perfect condition.” James took a light breath and continued.
“The importance of the body’s strength is cannot be overemphasized, but like i said earlier once you reach tier 3, it doesn’t matter if you do normal work outs, since it won’t work. You’ll instead need to cultivate the bodies strength, by absorbing Mana from your Mana core.”
“This may sound easy but don’t forget; our bodies have been doing this by itself through out tier 1 and 2, but this time we’ll need to do perform this procedure ourselves, since if left to our body’s ability to absorb Mana, we might not progress at all, as its effects would be too minimal, and might not even work due to the change of energy needed to be absorbed.
This process at first would be excruciating since the Mana pathways aren’t used to that forceful absorbtion of Mana, and its new quality.”
“That is why it’s adviced to start gradually. Starting with the pathways in your bones is adviced. Followed by your organs, then muscles and lastly your skin.
Immediately you’ve managed to get Mana to flow through them consciously then you’re ready for the real deal. Apparently there are pills to help this process, but they are a bit pricey,” James stopped to pour another glass of wine.
Noah’s thoughtful expression didn’t leave his face, his mouth opening to ask a question,
“But why does the cultivation manual need to be element specific?,” Noah said gulping down what James poured for him.
“Well since your Mana core now requires refined Mana, and your body is used to general mana, you’ll need to find cultivation manuals that have studied the behaviors of your particular element, and use it for yourself. Do not forget I told you it’ll be excruciating, this is also one of the reasons.”
“But the third reason would be because the body has; according to what I read, Impurities,” James nod his head.
“What are these Impurities?,” Noah immediately asked.
“They are bodily tissues or bones that the body finds unsuitable for the new standard that the body has. A standard that should be ready to step on the path of demi-gods,” James replied.
Noah’s expression changed to a mix of helplessness and confusion.
“Much doesn’t add up,” Noah complained.
“I told you my information would not be completely specific. I’m simply telling you what i know. Go find out the rest yourself,” James snorted.
Noah heaved a deep sigh, his mind wandering into multiple thoughts. It seemed he would have to access another library very soon.
The duo talked for a bit more time. James telling Noah some other things he knew, though Noah still found them insufficient, and riddled with blank spots, but nevertheless he was thankful.
“I’ll be returning to my room now,” James yawned, “We have a big day tommorow,” he added, Noah’s countenance falling for a millisecond, but James didn’t notice.
“Good night,” James said walking towards the door.
“Good night,” Noah said shutting the door behind James.
Walking back to his bed and laying on it, Noah heaved the deepest sigh he could. A bit of worry tried to find it’s way into his mind, but he succeeded in stopping it.
Closing his eyes, Noah didn’t let any anxiety inducing thought find its way into his mind.
His consciousness eventually found its way into the darkness called sleep.
A knock on the door woke Noah. Who jumped off his bed, his mind going into battle mode as lightning crackled around his figure.
“It’s me,” Abigail’s voice sounded. Noah immediately calmed down at that point. Walking towards the door, Noah was about to unlock it when her voice rang out again.
“You should have your bath and dress, before you let me in,” She said, Noah immediately remembering that he was still shirtless.
Noah limited himself to nod his head at her words. Although he couldn’t see her, she could probably see him, and that would be by her spreading are consciousness. Though Noah wondered if his expanded consciousness could bypass solid objects.
Walking into the bathroom, Noah took a ten minutes bath, his mind preparing himself for anything that happened. He even kept powerful spells at the tip of his mind because of his paranoia.
Exiting the room fully dressed. Noah’s eye’s instantly fell on Abigail. She was clothed in a short green gown, yellow heels, and her hair was tied in a ponytail.
“Good morning. I hope you had a peaceful night,” Abigail curtsied.
“I did,” Noah stated with a blank expression.
“Please follow me,” She said after that interaction. Noah simply followed her lead in response.
The duo walked for multiple minutes until Noah remembered James, as they had not encountered anyone.
“What about the others?,” Noah eventually asked, as slight anxiety spread in his mind.
“They are fine. Everyone of you has been assigned different chambers to receive your rewards. So do not worry,” She explained without turning to face him.
Noah could only show a weird expression at that point. He didn’t have any idea what the royals were planning, and he couldn’t act rashly since they could erase his existence if he caused trouble. So he remained silent.
Eventually they took a turn into another hall, and at the end of the hall was a large door. Noah’s normally fast-beating heart increasing in speed due to that sight.
His heart rate reaching its peak when Abigail knocked on the metal door lightly. The large object beginning to move backwards, the deafening sound of metal scraping metal filling the hall.
Noah felt his heart jump into his mouth when he saw Abigail gesturing for him to walk inside.
‘Alone!,’ Noah screamed in his mind, but he still entered anyways.
Immediately he had taken a few steps into the dimly lit room, the large door shut him in. A swallowing sound escaping his throat.
Though with the shutting of the door came a wave of surprise.
As Noah felt his body praise the environment, his pores being filled with the rejuvinating energy called Mana, for it’s concentration was over the top in the room.
The concentration of Mana in the room was so much that Noah could see blue shimmering mists here and there. A layer of blue mist even began to form on his clothes after a few seconds.
During that period of fascination, Noah failed to notice both the source of the phenomenon and the individuals present in the room.
But soon he would.
Suddenly a bright light lit up the entire room. Noah’s eye’s falling on a rotating flower like object that shot multicolored lights out of its fabric.
And around the object that Noah confirmed to be the source of the high concentration of Mana, were two individuals, a man and woman. Both radiating power in the fourth tier.
“Welcome Noah,” They both said in unison. A chill running down Noah’s spine.
