Chapter 506: Chapter 228: Consecutive Breakthroughs! Annihilating the Taboo Figure

For some reason, at this very moment, he had an extraordinary amount of faith in Chen Xuan!

He felt as if Chen Xuan were omnipotent!

He had to go and see this battle for himself.

...

With the Void Dragon Python charging forward at extreme speed,

the distance of several thousand miles was covered in no time.

From a great distance, Chen Xuan could already feel the earth-shattering roars from up ahead.

Two great battlefields were raging, shaking the very heavens and earth. The slaughter was so intense it seemed to blot out the sun and moon, creating an exceptionally grim scene.

On one battlefield were Chu Shanhe and the Vice City Lord, Xue Wanchuan.

They were burning their blood qi, their bodies cloaked in a searing, bloody light as they used every method at their disposal to fight the massive, ochre-colored giant before them.

The ochre giant’s eyes were ice-cold. It raised its enormous palms and repeatedly smashed them downward, creating a series of explosive booms.

No matter how Chu Shanhe and Xue Wanchuan tried to resist,

it was useless.

Even by burning their blood qi and their very life force, they could not stop its attacks.

A forbidden being was a forbidden being!

They represented absolute might!

Absolute invincibility!

They had lingered in the shallow darkness for many years.

They were among the most powerful combatants.

In the past, if Gu Yuntian, number one on the Heavenly Ranking, hadn’t been there to suppress them, they would have stirred up unimaginable chaos in this shallow darkness long ago.

But now, Gu Yuntian was trapped and on the verge of death.

This meant there was no one left in the shallow darkness who could keep them in check.

"Enough, you two ants. I’ve played with you long enough. Now, I’ll send you on your way!"

The ochre giant’s voice was frigid, and the destructive aura emanating from its body grew even denser.

Light blazed on one of its massive, ochre hands. Its aura became even more terrifying as it swung its arm around, preparing to smash it down.

But suddenly, it tensed, sensing something, and whipped its head around.

Two terrifying, ice-cold beams of yellow light shot from its eyes, tearing through the darkness.

There in the darkness, a ferocious-looking, colossal Void Dragon Python was charging toward it at extreme speed. Lightning, darkness, and fire wove frantically around its body as a deafening roar erupted from its maw.

And atop the python’s head stood a figure cloaked in purple, poised to strike, his eyes blazing.

They shone like two golden, divine lamps,

fixed on the giant.

"You old mongrel!!"

Chen Xuan’s terrifyingly cold voice suddenly rang out. "So you like bullying the weak? Then try taking a hit from me!!"

BOOM!

He shot from the Void Dragon Python’s head with unimaginable speed, like a bolt of lightning, hurtling toward the ochre giant’s body.

The ochre giant’s gaze hardened.

It instantly sensed that something was off about Chen Xuan’s aura.

At this moment, it actually felt a tangible sense of danger from him.

A cold glint appeared in its eyes, and it broke into a savage grin.

"Well, well, Yama Chen! I haven’t settled the score with you for that last punch, and you still dare to show your face!!"

Its body shot forward with a thunderous roar. It blasted a palm condensed with power directly at Chen Xuan, like an ochre-colored sun.

Chen Xuan, in turn, was like a golden sun.

Under the horrified gazes of Chu Shanhe and Xue Wanchuan,

the two suns, one large and one small, violently collided in midair.

BOOM!

The instant they collided, the world seemed to break apart. The heavens fell and the earth sundered, and both the sun and moon lost their light.

The entire world seemed to freeze.

An impossibly powerful, destructive aura swept wildly out in all directions.

Ripples spread through space like chaotic, giant hands, tearing layer after layer of minuscule, densely packed cracks into the void. Terrifying, chaotic turbulence burst forth from within them.

Their powers had been focused into a single point.

BAM!!

Suddenly, with a great roar, the ochre giant’s body seemed to lose control, and it staggered backward rapidly.

Each step shook the ground and created an explosive sound.

It channeled the terrifying residual force into the ground, causing destruction to spread out in all directions.

Even though Chu Shanhe and Xue Wanchuan were a great distance away, their expressions changed drastically. They retreated in haste, feeling wave after wave of destructive aura bearing down on them.

It made their skin tingle and their bodies feel as if they were about to shatter.

Both of them were utterly horrified.

’Just how powerful was that clash between Chen Xuan and this Stone Man?’

’The aftershock alone was enough to make us feel this way?’

’Did Chen Xuan have another breakthrough?’

’That’s just too absurd!’

In the blink of an eye, the Stone Man had staggered back a dozen or so steps. Its face was a mask of shock and fury, and it was burning with rage. It was simply unbelievable.

’I actually lost the upper hand in a direct clash!?’

Even its palm, which was made of solid stone, was sending waves of numbing, stinging pain.

"You damned beast, you’ve really got some tricks!"

The Stone Man’s voice was frigid, and a savage grin spread across its face. "Good, good, good. In that case, I’ll fight you with my full strength! Let’s see just how much a damned beast like you can move me!"

BOOM!

The ochre light on its body exploded forth. Its aura blazed, terrifying and unfathomable.

Its body, already over thirty meters tall, suddenly swelled once more. With a WHOOSH, it shot into the sky, reaching a height of over nine hundred meters as roiling, ochre light surged around it.

Its entire aura grew heavier, its power stronger.

It was as if it had transformed into a massive mountain.

Mind you, this was no ordinary Dharma Aspect.

It was its pure, physical body.

It had originally been a stubborn piece of rock that had attained enlightenment. From before the coming of the darkness to after, it had existed for countless years, enduring an unknown number of dark tides and infusions of Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi.

Finally, countless years ago, it had gained sentience. It then cultivated a humanoid form and grew, step by step, into what it was today.
