644 Monster?
“Looks like we made quite the gains,” Dilan said lightheartedly as he absorbed three Tier-5 Essence crystals without any hesitation.
He smiled lightly and looked at the remaining seven Essence crystals that crumbled not long after. He used the Essence to nourish the Hyel Destructo Armor Set and nodded in satisfaction when his gaze landed on the huge mountain of Essence crystals.
“System, I just want to absorb the Essence crystals that’ll increase my strength. Use the excessive Essence to upgrade the Hyel Destructo Armor set!” He ordered still smiling while the mountain of Essence crystals crumbled right in front of him.
Dilan felt a tremendous amount of essence circulating through his body but only a part of it was used to increase his strength.
Most of the Essence was led to his soul where the Hyel Destructo Armor Set was tightly secured.
His Armor was strengthened, which would inevitably increase his combat prowess further.
However, that was not something the others could care about. More than 20 Demi Gods, tens of thousands of human Ascenders, and even more powerful Monsters were staring at Dilan, who acted as if he didn’t just kill ten Demi Gods while playing around with an additional two dozen Demi Gods and the Sun God…the existence that nearly killed them many times in the past.
“What’s wrong? We have no time to waste. Plunder their bodies and throw them aside afterward…or just store them so that we can sacrifice the corpses at the temple of a nice God in the future. Maybe that will make it easier to build a favorable relationship with other Gods!” Dilan rubbed his hand and a sly manner.
He was still looked at weirdly but Dilan didn’t really mind it. It was not as if he was that dense. Dilan understood pretty clearly that everyone was shocked about his strength, especially since he was only at the fourth Tier.
“Guys…focus! We will have lots of things to achieve in the future. The Sun God is just a pebble in our way. He might have been a hindrance in the past but I believe that Rory will be strong to defeat him in…half a year, at most. Maybe if she works harder than she does right now it will be even less!!” Dilan declared at this moment, just to hear a complaint from his left.
“I am already giving my best…what ‘works harder’…You really hate me, don’t you?”
Rory emerged to his left and she punched his shoulder. However, her punch didn’t hold any force. She was just joking with him, though astonished that Dilan thought she would only need half a year until she would be strong enough to defeat the Sun God.
“It’s always possible to give 150%, especially for you…thanks to me,” Dilan added the last comment silently but he was still smiling. He was actually serious about the 150%. One could always give more because his people were currently not collapsing on the ground when getting expelled from the Simulation training.
Dilan could tell that there was always possible to give a little bit more even if it was just a tiny bit. Exceeding one’s limit was what everyone needed to become a true powerhouse and defeat opponents that were supposed to be stronger than oneself.
Dilan knew that even before he had entered the City of Trials. However, from the time he entered the City of Trials, many things had become much clearer.
“Maybe Yvonne will be faster than you. If she gives her best, she can become stronger than you…I should give her the bodies of the 10 Demi Gods I killed…supporting her to defeat you is a goal I am willing to strive for!” Dilan exclaimed before he retrieved the corpses of the Sun God’s subordinates. He threw them toward Yvonne, who looked at him with a somewhat confused smile.
Only after all ten corpses landed in front of her did she start smiling. She finally understood what Dilan was trying to do.
“Alright, it’s time for me to become stronger than this little Red Dragon. She deserves a beating, and it’s time that we show her who the real boss is!” Yvonne declared loudly which earned her many astonished gazes.
Even Kathrine and Rory looked at her slightly confused. Meanwhile, Victoria’s gaze remained on Dilan, whose eyes moved all over his people and subordinates of Rory.
A faint smile appeared on her face and she sighed weakly in the Shadow mask she had received as an advancement gift to the fifth Tier.
‘He really didn’t change…good job…’
Dilan had attempted to ease the tension everyone felt. He knew that he would be considered a monster by a bunch of Demi Gods and Ascenders after today, but that was fine with him.
Dilan could tell that he was not normal…and everything, or everyone, who was too far out of the range of the norm would be considered an anomaly, a monster amongst humans, or whatever word they would find for him.
If they were to consider him monstrous, but still like and trust him, enough to fight side by side without the fear of getting mashed to death by him, everything would be fine.
Dilan was ready to bear the responsibility for his actions.
Hard times approached them, which was very clear to every Demi God of the Undying Group. They all knew about the Veils, the Veilures, and the prophecy about the Universe. Ben, Katja, and Nicolas received all pieces of information upon joining the Undying Group and their attitude changed completely.
Their change of attitude resulted in a drastic increase in strength. They had a good reason to give their utmost as well. It was not only their survival on Camsun, or Milarn anymore…but the fact that they had to overcome an obstacle much bigger than that.
They had to survive when the rest of the Universe would be devoured!
