Undying Warlord

550 Rapid Advance

His stats increased drastically after he advanced past the 10th round.

It was possible for him to use the Zephyr Steps and the Ring of Infinite Elements with much more ease than before.

Thus, even though the difficulty of the Trial of Power increased at an exponential rate, it felt like a cakewalk for Dilan who passed through them with ease.

The Ring of Infinite Elements was a powerful Constitution that allowed Dilan to alter his mana into any possible type of elemental mana.

Through this it was possible for him to replicate elemental affinity seeds, allowing him to use any kind of element at will.

The light blob was one way to make use of his Ring of Infinite Elements Constitution, replicating a flashbang by compressing light-attributed mana until it was on the brink of bursting apart.

But despite his great control of mana and the necessary amount of mana to exert the first step of the Zephyr Step movement technique, it was not necessarily easy to defeat the opponent on the 10th Floor.

Dilan had to defeat a Warlord Goblin, a type of Goblin with terrific combat awareness, great leadership skills, and the ability to increase the strength of his subjects.

It was a bulky green monster that was wielding a three-meter-long greatsword while being five-meter tall. Two long yellowish-white tusks protruded from its jaw and battle scars were scattered all over his body. Just one look at him was easy to gauge the Warlord Goblin wouldn’t be easy to deal with.

Nonetheless, Dilan made it possible by using all kinds of magic tricks and obstacles to obstruct the Boss Monster while he defeated a thousand subjects that followed him.

There had been dozens of Hobgoblins, Shaman Goblins, and Goblin Champions at the side of the Warlord Goblin, yet, Dilan defeated all of them with hard work, skills, and a trace of craziness.

On the 10th Floor, the amount of Mana he was granted was 15 Units. With his Perfect Mastery of the Perfect Essence Cultivation technique and the natural mana that resided in the Colosseum, Dilan could replenish more than two Units of Mana within a minute.

Making use of that and the lessons he had received by the Fallen Celestial he rendered a vast number of opponents unable to keep fighting which didn’t even cause him to break into a sweat.

Dilan had used a little bit more than half of his mana to summon a tidal wave of seawater.

The seawater flooded the Goblins that were the nearest to him. It crashed into them and swept them away as the tidal wave spread all over the ground of the Colosseum’s arena.

What happened afterward was quite simple. Dilan used the majority of his remaining mana to exert the Lightning God’s Fist technique.

His Stats were not high enough to actually use this Martial Art technique in combat, but it was more than enough to summon a few powerful bolts of lightning!

Dilan smashed his flat hand on the surface of the wet ground, releasing the powerful electric currents of the lightning that traveled through the water, paralyzing the vast majority of Goblins all over the arena in an instant.

Not wanting to give them even a moment to recover, Dilan conjured, aimed, and fired a bunch of highly compressed air bullets at the strongest targets, killing them in an instant.

Only the Warlord Goblin survived. The Boss Monster was overflowing with rage at the sight of its dying subjects and the humiliation it felt by getting overwhelmed by a single, tiny human being.

However, Dilan didn’t really bother to think about the anger of the Warlord Goblin. To him, that Boss Monster was just a pawn that obstructed his way.

He altered his mana and used nature-attributed mana to exert Green Magic. The veins that shot out of the ground were reinforced and they restricted the Warlord Goblin further, providing Dilan with the necessary time to annihilate the remaining subjects of the Boss Monster.

What followed was a drawn-out battle in which Dilan defeated the Warlord Goblin using poison-attributed mana and subtle injuries, inflicted with the black iron sword.

The battles in the Trial of Power were not to be taken lightly.

The first few rounds might have been just a warm-up exercise, but it was a fact that the difficulty skyrocketed as the number of opponents Dilan had to defeat increased exponentially.

His stats might increase at the same time and provide him some helping hand, but that didn’t make him invincible.

He was just lucky to have been taught by True Gods, originating from the wildest places and in possession of the greatest knowledge.

And, of course, it was very helpful that Dilan was in possession of so many unique special traits, a powerful Constitution, and not to be forgotten, his Origin ability, Undying!

Even if he was injured, poisoned or attacked by a large group of horrifying monsters, Dilan could overcome everything!

In the following rounds of the Trial of Power, Dilan did exactly that. He made use of his advantages and advanced until the 25th round.

The difficulty increased with every round. This was also why Dilan ended up losing one of his feet when he had been forced to exert the second step of the Zephyr Step movement technique.

He faced powerful opponents every round but the Boss Monster of the 20th round was an agile and extremely fast Camouflage Cheetah.

Dilan had given the Cheetah this name because the monster could change the color of its fur to seemingly blend with the surrounding environment and turn itself almost invisible.

Unfortunately, there was not much of an environment in the Colosseum’s Arena, to begin with.

The Camouflage Cheetah was not able to use one of its traits due to the environment, however, that did not hinder the Boss Monster much because it could make use of its terrific speed and flexibility to make up for that.

Dilan had been forced to give his all against the Camouflage Cheetah, and he only defeated it by restricting the monster while simultaneously releasing his highest possible speed.

Thus, he defeated the Boss Monster even if it was at the expense of his left foot.

The 20th round was not over after the Boss Monster died because there were still other monsters alive that he had yet to defeat.

With only one foot it was a bit cumbersome to eliminate the remaining threats but by sacrificing his body little by little, he was given more than enough opportunities to empty the Colosseum’s Arena of his opponents.

His body was already healing but upon advancing to the 21st round he was reinvigorated and the wounds all over his body were healed in an instant.

Even his foot had regrown at once. Dilan didn’t feel that anything was amiss with his foot either. It was almost as if he had never lost his foot, to begin with!

This was great, and it made things less complicated for the following rounds. Upon advancing to the 25th round, Dilan was given enough mana to properly activate the Lightning God’s Fist and the First Sword Slash of Destruction.

Dilan expected a lot from the Sword Style and the Unarmed Martial Arts technique, but he held back his excitement, knowing deep down that he shouldn’t overestimate himself just because he was in possession of techniques that had been honed by True Gods for countless years.

‘I should take it easy, shouldn’t I?’ Dilan thought, but a glint in his eyes and the uptilted corners of his lips said differently.
