SUMMARY
Everyone has a Conviction.
Some are born from fear.
Some from hatred.
Some from the things people refuse to lose.
And once a person awakens, that Conviction becomes their power.
The clearer the Conviction, the stronger they become.
Cole Vale has a problem.
He doesn't have one.
At least, that's what the system says.
No Conviction.
No rank.
No license.
No measurable potential.
Just Undefined.
Cole doesn't seem particularly bothered by it. In fact, he'd prefer everyone leave him alone. He has no interest in becoming famous, joining some elite organization, or climbing the ranks.
He just wants to sleep, get through life without unnecessary trouble, and enjoy his peace.
Unfortunately, peace has never been particularly fond of Cole.
When an incident exposes something that shouldn't exist, Cole finds himself caught between Awakened organizations, government investigators, monsters that shouldn't be possible, and people who seem to know far more about him than they should.
Then someone asks him a question he's never been able to answer:
“If you don't have a Conviction... then why does the world keep reacting to you?”
The more Cole fights, the stranger things become.
People begin noticing him.
Enemies begin fearing him.
And somewhere in the shadows, an organization that has been watching the world for centuries finally notices the one person their records cannot explain.
Cole wanted a quiet life.
Instead, he may have been born into a world built on a lie.
And the closer he gets to the truth, the more he begins to wonder—
What if being Undefined was never a weakness?
What if it was the reason everything else exists?
