Undead Mage: I Have a Skeleton Clone
Chapter 1086: Interrogating the Soul, Blade Vault, Windfall!
Talon was shocked by his empty swing; he was a Golden Lower Rank Sky Splitting Demon Descendant, extremely swift.
But now, this seemingly certain sword strike had missed its target.
No time to think, Vladimir’s long spear had already thrust forward.
Talon retracted his sword and spun around to dodge the thrust, then the sword burst forth with a bright light, channeling full Battle Qi towards the Blood Spirit Bat Wolf’s abdomen.
Vladimir neither dodged nor evaded, swinging his long spear fiercely at the incoming sword.
“Clang!”
The Greatsword wrapped in Battle Qi clashed with the long spear in the air.
Nearby, some Blade Demon Bandits who witnessed this cried out in unison during a rare idle moment.
The horror from the earlier massacre eased significantly, as if seeing the dawn of hope amid despair.
Unbeknownst to them, despite Talon seemingly wielding great power, he was actually in great pain at that moment.
Though he appeared to have the upper hand earlier, the reactive force from the sword reverberated, shaking his chest and causing his blood to churn, nearly overwhelming him.
At this moment, Vladimir went berserk.
He raised his head and let out a mind-numbing scream, his crimson armor waving, then targeted Talon, unleashing a relentless storm of attacks.
The Blade Secret Cult camp was now ablaze, blood and severed limbs scattered everywhere.
Casualties in the Blade Secret Cult had exceeded half, and were continuously rising.
The southern demon bandits, overwhelmed by Catherine’s charge, had completely surrendered.
Some bandits, unable to withstand the purgatorial massacre, started desperately trying to escape but were ensnared by the encircling Undead Army, with none able to flee.
Fang Zhou, astride the Black Gem Dragon, stood silently on the hillside, watching the chaos below, his expression as unchanged as an ancient fossil.
By exterminating the Blade Secret Cult, the chaotic situation in Head Hunting City under Calamity Sun Demon Country’s control would further escalate.
This way, the Calamity Special Operations Team could remain uninvolved in this turmoil and reap even greater benefits.
The Blade Secret Cult’s northern camp hadn’t yet faced the southern collapse due to Talon’s resistance against Vladimir’s assault.
But this was merely temporary; once Catherine arrived from the south to converge, it would mark the beginning of the end for the Blade Secret Cult.
“Clang!”
Another crisp sound echoed, and the two shadowy figures on the field finally separated.
On one side stood Talon, panting heavily, his battle qi almost depleted, with four bone-deep wounds on his left arm, and on the other, Vladimir, his eyes shining red, growing fiercer as the battle continued.
Having just escaped from the battle state, Talon had lost all hope of resolving his camp’s crisis.
With a grim face, he glanced around, then, without a word, started fleeing to the rear.
Seeing Vladimir still relentlessly pursuing him, Talon continuously threw his subordinates backward from the crowd to buy himself time to escape.
Yet Vladimir did not charge at full speed, instead casually following Talon, continuing to slaughter the morale-broken Blade Demon Bandits.
In the chaos, Talon, familiar with the terrain, quickly vanished from sight.
Amid the screams of despair, the real downfall of the Blade Secret Cult began.
However, Talon, who thought he had escaped safely, was quite unlucky.
For the escape route he hastily chose led him directly to the high slope where Fang Zhou stood!
Talon, carrying his Greatsword, sprinted all the way, barely escaping death several times from Vladimir’s attacks, his courage faltering.
He urgently needed to leave this place!
The Blade’s demise was now inevitable, but as long as he kept his life, there was still a chance to rise again.
The sharp pain from the wound on his arm burned like fire, and had he not reacted quickly, the long spear would have struck the vital spot on his chest instead.
Thinking of this, Talon couldn’t help but curse these suddenly appearing undead.
Where did these damn things come from anyway?
First, he underestimated the Storm Secret Cult’s strength, aiming to weaken others but ended up sacrificing brothers and key subordinates.
Then he was kicked out and lost the eligibility to divide the wealth rivaling a nation from the logistical transfer station.
Now, even the hard-won foundation he established was completely destroyed!
This period really had been a string of bad luck.
While considering himself unlucky and pondering his next steps, Talon’s feet rushed him up a slope.
Only when his eyes caught the reflection from the Black Gem Dragon Scale Armor did he realize someone else was there.
“Swoosh!”
Talon reacted swiftly, drawing his Greatsword from behind.
Currently like a startled bird, and given the circumstance, anyone appearing here surely wasn’t friendly.
“Who are you?” Talon asked fiercely.
Fang Zhou, now cloaked entirely, having spent so much time in the dark absorbing plentiful death elements, exuded a chilling aura along with Tiamat, appearing extremely eerie to behold.
Talon’s tone clearly hinted at emboldening himself.
As his gaze extended, Talon suddenly saw the blood spirit warriors guarding behind Fang Zhou.
Connecting it to the camp filled with endless undead, a realization dawned on Talon.
