Chapter 134: Telerportation (Third Chapter Of Mass Release)

?[Special Skill Acquired: Gate]

?[Gate: As a protector of the Astral Dominion, the user has been granted the authority to traverse its territory without restriction. The user may teleport to any location within the Astral Dominion without requiring prior coordinates or a spatial marker.]

?[For locations beyond the boundaries of the Astral Dominion, the user must first mark the desired destination before teleportation becomes possible.]

?[Mana Consumption: Varies according to the distance traversed and the nature of the destination.]

’Damn.’

?Cassian couldn’t help smiling as he read the system notification.

?Teleportation.

?Not the limited, short-range spatial displacement of a combat skill, but the absolute authority to travel freely across an entire civilization.

As long as his destination lay within the Astral Dominion, he could appear there instantly without needing to establish a prior connection.

For locations beyond its borders, he merely needed to place a mark first.

?The strategic possibilities were enormous.

?He could travel between distant planets without relying on transportation vessels, respond to unexpected emergencies before they escalated, and visit remote star systems without wasting weeks on transit.

?More importantly, the skill had been granted by the Astral Dominion itself.

?What a pleasant surprise.

?Cassian immediately decided to test it.

?He activated [Gate].

?In the next instant, his surroundings dissolved into a blur.

?He reappeared several meters above the chamber floor, hovering close to the high ceiling with absolutely nothing beneath his feet.

?For a brief moment, he hung suspended in empty air.

?Then, gravity remembered him.

?’Oh.’

?Cassian began falling.

?Fortunately, his reaction speed was more than sufficient to compensate for the momentary lapse in judgment.

Before he could crash onto the metallic floor, he activated [Gate] once again.

?Space distorted violently.

?He vanished mid-air and reappeared directly in front of Nyxara.

?The Undead Elf’s violet eyes widened in shock. "My lord?!"

?She hadn’t even seen him move. One moment he had been standing beside the Worldbreaker Core; the next, he had materialized near the roof, and now he was standing right in front of her as though the intervening distance had never existed.

?Cassian, meanwhile, was thoroughly impressed.

’?This is ridiculously convenient.’

?Leaning forward, he planted a quick, affectionate kiss on Nyxara’s forehead.

?The elf froze on the spot.

?Her long, pointed ears twitched, and a faint, subtle blush spread across her pale cheeks.

For a moment, she simply stared at him, seemingly torn between questioning his sudden teleportation stunt and processing the unexpected affection.

?Cassian stepped back with a satisfied smirk.

’?If this is the same skill Louis has been using, everything makes sense now.’

?The Overseer of the Astral Dominion could appear wherever he pleased, often stepping out of thin air before anyone had time to prepare for his arrival.

Cassian had initially assumed that such absurd mobility was merely a natural consequence of Louis’s immense strength and personal mastery over spatial laws.

?But perhaps [Gate] was a core part of the explanation.

?As the Overseer, Louis had spent centuries protecting the Astral Dominion. It wouldn’t be surprising if the civilization had rewarded him with a similar skill, or perhaps an even higher-tier variation.

?It certainly wouldn’t be difficult for someone of his standing to acquire a power like this.

?Cassian’s smile widened.

?He genuinely appreciated the system reward. He wasn’t the type of person who would refuse to help someone in need simply because there was no immediate profit involved; he had risked everything to save Planet Roca because he refused to let Ruby or billions of innocent civilians perish.

?Still, there was something undeniably satisfying about receiving a massive, game-changing reward for doing the right thing.

’?Saving lives and walking away with a top-tier spatial skill... Now that’s a good deal.’

?His internal monologue was interrupted by Nyxara’s soft voice.

?"My lord, how did you do that?"

?She was still looking at him with deep curiosity, though the subtle blush on her cheeks hadn’t entirely faded.

?Cassian raised a hand. "[Gate]. It’s a special skillI received for stopping the Worldbreaker Core."

?"[Gate]?" Nyxara tilted her head slightly.

?Cassian briefly explained the skill’s mechanics, including its ability to transport him anywhere within the Astral Dominion and its requirement for destination markers beyond the border.

?The elf listened attentively before giving a firm nod. "I see. That is an extraordinary power, my lord."

?Cassian nodded in agreement. "It is. The only downside is that it consumes a staggering amount of mana."

?Silence descended between them.

?Nyxara stared blankly at him.

?Cassian stared back, completely stone-faced.

?Then, the Undead Elf’s lips twitched.

?"..."

?A second later, the both of them burst into quiet laughter.

?"Nice one, my lord," Nyxara said, lightly patting his shoulder as her violet eyes sparkled with amusement.

?Cassian grinned. "Well, I had to find something to complain about."

?For a brief moment, the two allowed themselves to enjoy the rare luxury of relaxation.

The chamber remained heavily damaged, the Arachnid’s headless corpse lay pooling black blood nearby, and the colossal Worldbreaker Core stood silent behind them, but the immediate crisis had officially passed.

?Cassian had saved Planet Roca. His family was safe. And he had walked away with three new skills to show for it.

?All things considered, the operation had been an absolute success.

?Nyxara eventually scanned the ruined chamber before turning her focus back to him. "So, what is our next move, my lord?"

?Cassian’s smile gradually faded as his eyes drifted toward the headless corpse lying near the cracked wall.

?The Arachnid had been a First Order Elite Evolver, an existence equivalent in raw combat power to a Tier IV Lord.

Its specialized evolutionary path had been remarkably unusual, and its ability to generate and manipulate razor-sharp silk had demonstrated terrifying tactical versatility.

?There might be something useful left to harvest.

?Cassian’s blue eyes narrowed thoughtfully. "I want to test something."

....

Cassian stood over the Arachnid’s headless corpse, his blue eyes fixed on the body as he contemplated an intriguing possibility.

’?I wonder if Undead Summoning will work on this fellow.’

?The skill granted to him by the Eternal Serpent allowed him to summon undead from the Nether World by using corpses as physical vessels.

Depending on the quality of the vessel and the intrinsic characteristics of the deceased, he could manifest soldiers, laborers, specialized support units, or even powerful Champions.

?However, a fundamental question remained, one Cassian had never possessed the occasion to test.

?Did the skill work on beings who hadn’t originated from the Lord’s Domain?

?The problem was far more complex than it appeared on the surface.
