Ultra-Level Weeb: Rise in an Awakened World

Chapter 150: It Couldn’t Be That Easy

Initially, Max looked a little distracted. He kept stealing brief glances at Yennefer as she watched him in nothing but her underwear.

His attention kept getting pulled toward her breasts and thighs, and for a moment, he had to resist the temptation to reach out and feel her waist.

But after a while, he finally got the hang of it.

He forced himself to focus on the task in front of him, concentrating on processing the herbs and setting up a few one-use arrays.

And the speed at which he drew them was almost unbelievable.

It barely looked like he was writing at all. His hands moved so quickly that the lines, curves, and intricate shapes seemed to appear almost instantly beneath his fingers.

Yennefer was completely gobsmacked.

Her eyes widened as she watched his hands move with such speed and precision, forming one rune after another without him needing to stop and check his work.

Before she could even properly process what she was seeing, Max had already moved on to processing the herbs, using several runes during the process as well.

And then she finally saw the part she’d been waiting for.

Max began controlling the mana.

It flowed through his hands and into the various formations with remarkable precision, each stream of mana being adjusted and redirected exactly where he wanted it.

Yennefer could only stare.

His rune work was already impressive, but the level of control he displayed over the mana was something else entirely.

Although mana itself was invisible and could only be seen when it reached a fairly high density, Yennefer was a mage, so she could still feel it.

She could sense the nearly invisible strands of mana flowing from Max’s hands as he manipulated them with remarkable precision.

The mana moved through the herbs, carefully breaking them down and drawing out their essence into the mana water. The process was so precise that Yennefer could actually see the herbs slowly breaking apart within the liquid, while the leftover plant matter was separated and burned away by the controlled mana.

A warm, earthy herbal smell soon spread throughout the laboratory.

Yennefer watched the entire process with growing amazement.

"That’s amazing. How are you doing it so precisely?" she asked.

Max only gave her a smile.

He waited a few seconds before answering.

"I’ll explain it in the notes..."

Then he kept the smirk on his face and added,

"So get me some more milfs on the way..."

Yennefer’s expression turned annoyed as she watched him, but she said nothing.

Max continued working, adding the other herbs into the main concoction one after another.

Yennefer recognized every herb he was using. She had even researched the recipe herself. It wasn’t particularly difficult for her to get her hands on it, considering it was such a low-level recipe.

Unlike Zerena and Max, who had to obtain the recipe through the army, Yennefer had enough connections and access to information that acquiring it had been relatively easy for her.

Max followed the recipe precisely—or at least, he followed the actual steps precisely.

What he wasn’t following were the usual time requirements.

The recipe specified how long each herb needed to remain in the concoction before the next one could be added, with the final ingredient normally being introduced around the fourth or fifth hour depending on the brewer’s ability.

Max, however, wasn’t bothering with any of that.

He was moving through the entire process at a ridiculous speed, handling each stage far faster than the recipe suggested.

By the time three hours had passed, he’d already completed everything that would normally take four or even five hours.

Yennefer could already tell that the potion had entered its final stage.

A refreshing herbal scent had begun spreading throughout the laboratory, filling the room with a clean, pleasant aroma as the concoction gradually settled into its finished state.

Max looked satisfied as the potion’s color gradually deepened into a richer red.

He continued working without slowing down, drawing a few more runes around the cauldron and setting up multiple arrays in the surrounding formations. Within just a few minutes, he’d finished arranging everything.

Once he was done, Max took a deep breath and looked over at Yennefer with a pleased expression.

"Wanna see something amazing?"

Yennefer would have shaken her head if Max had asked her that at any other time. Knowing him, whatever he considered "amazing" was probably going to be something stupid, perverted, or both.

Even now, she was suspicious.

Still, curiosity won over her better judgment, and she nodded.

The moment Max’s smirk widened, Yennefer’s eyes widened as well.

Every array he’d just set up lit up almost instantly.

And that was the truly impressive part.

None of the arrays were particularly complex. They were mostly simple controlling arrays, the kind any experienced potion maker could understand without much trouble.

But there were so many of them.

And Max had not only prepared them all in such a short amount of time—he’d activated the entire group almost simultaneously, maintaining the mana flow through each one without any visible hesitation.

Yennefer stared at the glowing formations, realizing that the sheer number of arrays alone made what he’d just done an impressive feat.

It looked like Max was about to control all of them at once.

Yennefer could feel the mana inside the cauldron suddenly shifting as every array began working together. The entire process accelerated almost immediately.

Within minutes, the potion’s color started changing.

The red liquid became brighter and richer, gradually developing a strange shine until it almost seemed to glow from within.

Yennefer’s eyes widened.

Max had started processing the potion further, pushing it beyond its current grade and refining it into something better.

What shocked her even more was that the potion had already appeared to be B-grade, perhaps even B+, even before Max had started this final processing.

Yet now, its potency was rising at a speed that Yennefer had never seen before.

Unable to hold back her shock, she asked,

"How are you doing this? Why is the potion’s potency increasing this fast?"
