Chapter 91: Chapter 93: Su Luoluo’s Crisis

Su Luoluo raised an eyebrow at the crowd, then lay down on it, pillowing her hands behind her head. She looked completely content.

The beast skin hammock had an impressive weight capacity. Even with her larger frame lying on it, there was no sign of strain.

If this had been ordinary cotton cloth, it would have instantly ripped to shreds.

The idea had just popped into her head.

She had been wondering where a good place to sleep for the night would be, when her gaze fell upon two perfect trees.

Back in the post-apocalypse, if she couldn’t find a suitable place to sleep, she would just pitch a tent or string up a hammock to sleep in the wild. It was incredibly convenient since she wasn’t picky about location.

’She had no idea why her mind had been so blocked before, preventing her from thinking of this solution.’

’But it wasn’t too late to think of it now.’

’After all, it had solved her immediate crisis.’

Xi Yi watched the woman lying on the beast skin hammock, his eyebrows raising slightly.

’This Su Luoluo always managed to produce unexpected results. She was truly fascinating.’

Xiao Ye watched as the beast skin was hoisted into the air, transforming into a bed just like that. He felt a surge of frustration.

’Hasn’t Su Luoluo been a little too clever lately?’

’To think she could even come up with something like this.’

Fu Feng saw her lying on the beast skin and couldn’t help but lean in for a closer look, marveling as he said:

"Su Luoluo, this idea of yours is brilliant! With this, why would we ever sleep in trees or on the grass when we’re out in the wild? This is so much cleaner!"

’They, the Dragon Sparrow People, had been sleeping in trees for ages. How had none of them ever come up with such a brilliant idea?’

’Sleeping on a beast skin suspended between two trees... The idea was truly awesome!’

Mo Xuan had been all ready for a fight, prepared to go all out against the others and snatch her back, but then Su Luoluo pulled this stunt.

’She looked pretty heavy and walked a little slowly, so he never expected her mind to be so sharp.’

Su Luoluo lay on the beast skin hammock, her eyes crinkling with a smile. She looked completely relaxed and at ease.

’In the post-apocalypse, she was always busy fighting zombies. It had been a long time since she’d been able to relax in a hammock like this.’

Su Luoluo looked exceptionally languid at that moment.

’If she weren’t so conscious of the beastmen standing nearby, she would have started humming.’

Luan Ting watched Su Luoluo’s languid display and smiled at her, his face full of adoration.

Su Luoluo saw his expression and returned a sweet smile of her own.

’The two trees she’d chosen weren’t too far from the tribe’s main settlement, so it would be easy to call for help if anything happened.’

’The more Su Luoluo thought about it, the more she felt sleeping here was an absolutely brilliant idea.’

Luan Ting studied her for a moment before saying gently, "This is a nice spot, but sleeping under the trees, you’re bound to get bitten by mosquitoes and other insects."

Su Luoluo gave him a small smile. "Don’t worry, I’ll burn some mugwort later to keep them away."

Seeing she had a plan, Luan Ting didn’t press the issue.

Su Luoluo was about to get up to wash her bowl and take a bath when the system’s notification chimed.

[DING! Congratulations, Host. Nantu’s Heartbeat Value has increased by 10 points, and your attraction value has increased by five points.]

Su Luoluo hadn’t expected Nantu’s Heartbeat Value to rise at a time like this.

However, she didn’t have to think hard to know the increase was because of the beast skin hammock.

’He’s actually interested in something that isn’t "high-tech"?’

That was a little unexpected.

’But he was as stingy as ever. Getting these points from him was like squeezing toothpaste—they only came out a tiny bit at a time.’

Nantu looked at Su Luoluo’s smile and felt she was much easier on the eyes than before.

In the past, no matter how she smiled, there was always a calculating air about it that looked incredibly fake.

Now, she seemed much more genuine.

He’d never seen a hammock like this, not even in the city-states. Seeing as she had just gathered the vines, she must have come up with the idea herself.

’She was finally showing some intelligence, much more than when she’d collected those withered weeds.’

Once the sleeping situation was resolved, no one lingered at the outdoor kitchen; they all went their separate ways to rest.

Between the trip to get salt and spending all night searching for Su Luoluo and Xiao Ye, the beastmen were long since exhausted.

And while Xi Yi still had energy, he didn’t disturb Su Luoluo. Sometimes, timing was everything.

Su Luoluo slept soundly in her beast skin hammock. When she woke up the next day, she went for her usual run as part of her weight-loss routine.

She had already slimmed down quite a bit. Although she was still overweight, at least she no longer jiggled uncontrollably whenever she ran.

Su Luoluo was quite satisfied with her progress on her weight-loss journey.

The only drawback was that her skin was still too dark.

’A tanned complexion can be quite attractive, but on her curvy figure, that healthy, wheat-colored skin tone just didn’t look as good.’

’She would just have to find a way to lighten her skin.’

But before worrying about skin whitening, the most pressing matter was choosing a new site to build her house.

It wasn’t impossible to clean up the old site and rebuild on the same spot.

’But it had been struck by lightning, after all, and Su Luoluo was a little superstitious about it. If it really was a natural strike, didn’t that mean the area was prone to them? It would be better to pick a new spot.’

Most of the good spots around the tribe, both large and small, had already been claimed by other beastmen, leaving Su Luoluo with very limited options.

After scouting the area, she returned and finally decided to build her house near the outdoor kitchen.

She was the only one who ever used that piece of land, and the other werewolves never came by, so the area was still quite spacious.

’If she built it right next to her kitchen, she wouldn’t have to run back and forth to cook. Plus, she could connect the kitchen, a bathroom, and her bedroom, making her house even bigger.’

Su Luoluo announced her plan to the men over breakfast. "After you finish eating, go get me some wood. I’m going to build a house."

Fu Feng, Xiao Ye, Mo Xuan, Luan Ting, and Xi Yi weren’t surprised to hear this from Su Luoluo. After all, it was bound to happen sooner or later.

Upon hearing this, Luan Ting looked at Su Luoluo. "Where are you planning to build it?"

Su Luoluo’s eyes swept around the area as she said with a smile, "Right here is great. It’s close to the kitchen, which will make cooking much more convenient for me."

"Here?" Fu Feng looked at the weed-covered ground all around them and frowned. "Can we really live here?"

’It was one thing to cook here, since the weeds didn’t matter for that. But to build a house? There were far too many weeds!’

Su Luoluo narrowed her eyes and said mysteriously, "I have my ways. Just go get the wood first. You’ll see."

At her words, the men set off.

The others didn’t quite understand Fu Feng’s skepticism.

After all, Su Luoluo was always full of novel ideas. Maybe she had her own solution.

So, without saying anything more, they headed deeper into the forest as Su Luoluo had instructed.
