Chapter 110: Chapter 112: Xiao Ye VS Luan Ting

Su Luoluo heard the voice and looked toward the shore. Seeing who it was, she asked in surprise, "Luan Ting? What are you doing here?"

’Shouldn’t he be out hunting with the rest of the tribe right now? Why is he at the hot spring?’

Luan Ting looked at her, his smile as gentle as ever, though his eyes darted to her hand holding Nantu’s. "I found some of those wild fruits you liked last time while I was hunting, so I brought you some."

Su Luoluo’s eyes lit up when she saw the bright red fruits cupped in the leaves in his hand. "Are those wild raspberries? We have them here too?"

’She thought they only grew on Heavenly God Mountain. After all, she had explored most of the woods near the tribe and had never found any raspberries.’

She had just been worrying that it would be hard to make a cake with only kiwi fruit, and now Luan Ting had unexpectedly brought her raspberries.

’Raspberries were soft and sweet-tart—perfect for a cake.’

"This is great! I was just worrying about what fruit to use for the cake. These are perfect."

He looked at her with a beaming smile. "I picked a lot, so you can take your time eating them."

After speaking, he asked casually, "What are you and Nantu doing?"

He observed the two of them in the hot spring. Nantu was shirtless, and one of his hands was held by Su Luoluo. It looked as if she was inviting him to do something.

And while Su Luoluo was fully clothed, the water soaking her upper body made her already prominent chest even more noticeable.

’She probably hadn’t noticed herself, but from his perspective, her figure was incredibly alluring and sexy.’

Su Luoluo had been the one to pull Nantu’s hand over in the first place. Hearing the question, he glanced at Su Luoluo. "Why don’t you ask her yourself?"

Su Luoluo looked a little embarrassed. "When I was picking kiwis just now, a bug crawled onto my back. I was asking Nantu to take a look for me."

Hearing this, Luan Ting’s expression softened considerably. He placed the wild raspberries, wrapped in a large leaf, on the ground and extended his hand. "Come on up. I’ll take a look for you."

’Coincidentally, her back, which had felt so uncomfortable just a moment ago, now seemed to be completely bug-free.’

Su Luoluo shook her head. "I think the bug is gone now."

With that, she prepared to get out of the water on her own.

But when a tan hand reached out to her, she hesitated for a moment before placing her own in it.

A smile touched the corners of Luan Ting’s lips as he pulled her up onto the bank.

’Her small, chubby hand felt so soft in his. Luan Ting couldn’t help but remember that night on Heavenly God Mountain—her body had been just as soft.’

As Su Luoluo emerged from the water, her clothes were almost completely soaked. Water streamed down her body, dripping to the ground. DRIP, DRIP, DRIP.

Seeing how soaking wet she was, Luan Ting quickly pulled a hide towel from his waist and handed it to her. "You’re soaked. Here, dry yourself off."

Su Luoluo thanked him, taking it with a smile and starting to dry off. At the same time, she asked, a little puzzled, "Why do you carry a hide towel with you?"

’For a man from this primitive era to be so thoughtful as to carry a towel... Su Luoluo found it a bit incredible.’

’Their living conditions were crude, and they were constantly exposed to the elements.’

’Although Beastmen were a bit more civilized than ordinary animals, they usually weren’t this meticulous.’

Luan Ting bent down to pick up the kiwis Su Luoluo had dropped on the ground. "Sometimes it rains out in the wild," he said lightly. "This is good for drying off."

’A truly gentle person is always so thoughtful and considerate.’

Nantu stood in the hot spring, watching the two of them chatting in the distance, and shook his head.

’That Luan Ting has really been ensnared by Su Luoluo.’

’No matter how he looked at it, it was a shame for such a good guy to get caught up like this.’

Luan Ting’s hands were quick, and in no time, he had gathered all the kiwis Su Luoluo had dropped and placed them back in the vine basket.

After drying herself off, Su Luoluo also bent down to pick up the wild raspberries Luan Ting had picked.

She popped one into her mouth, her eyes narrowing in delight. "So sweet!"

Seeing how much she liked them, the smile in Luan Ting’s eyes deepened. He lifted the basket and looked at Su Luoluo. "Besides these fruits, do you need to pick anything else?"

Su Luoluo smiled and gently patted the leaf full of raspberries she was holding. "No, this is more than enough."

"Then let’s go!"

"Okay."

"By the way, Luan Ting, how did you end up at the hot spring?"

The place was quite far from both the Wild Kitchen and the tribe, so people rarely came here.

Luan Ting’s eyes flickered for a split second, but his tone was natural. "There’s a shortcut this way. It’s faster to get back."

Su Luoluo didn’t doubt him. Luan Ting never lied, and she trusted him on that.

As Su Luoluo and Luan Ting were talking, the System’s voice suddenly rang out.

[Ding! Good job, Host. Nantu is already following you.]

Hearing this, Su Luoluo’s lips curved into a smile. She knew Nantu wouldn’t be able to resist.

’He might not like her, but there was no way he wasn’t interested in the bread kiln she was building.’

She and Luan Ting chatted as they walked, and before long, they arrived at the Wild Kitchen.

"Luan Ting, let me tell you, this cake..."

"Su Luoluo!"

Su Luoluo was in the middle of talking with Luan Ting when Xiao Ye’s voice, spoken through gritted teeth, came from up ahead.

Su Luoluo heard him and answered, "What is it?"

"I got the milk you wanted."

Xiao Ye felt a pang of jealousy as he watched Su Luoluo and Luan Ting walking side by side.

’He was only gone for a short while, and Su Luoluo was already with Luan Ting. She was such a handful.’

Su Luoluo didn’t notice anything different in Xiao Ye’s tone. She glared at him. "So you found it. Why are you yelling? It’s not like I can’t hear you."

Hearing this, Xiao Ye was about to explode with anger.

’Did Su Luoluo really not know, or was she just pretending?’

’If he had known that while he was working his butt off milking a cow—and nearly getting poked in the ass for his trouble—Su Luoluo would be here laughing and joking with Luan Ting, he never would have left in the first place.’

’Who cared how delicious the food would be? His female was almost being snatched away right under his nose.’

At this thought, he looked up at Luan Ting.

The other man didn’t look away, and their gazes met in mid-air.

’Xiao Ye had always thought Luan Ting was a good-tempered, gentle person. Now he saw that he had completely misjudged him.’

’Now, as their gazes locked, Luan Ting didn’t back down in the slightest. Instead, he met his stare openly and without reservation.’

’Compared to his own fiery glare, Luan Ting’s eyes were as gentle as ever, but they now held a firm resolve.’

’It seemed he couldn’t underestimate this Luan Ting in the future,’ Xiao Ye thought to himself.

On the surface, Luan Ting’s expression was calm, but a hint of vigilance and scrutiny lay deep within his eyes.

’The scent coming from Su Luoluo was Xiao Ye’s.’

’It wasn’t very strong, but he could still detect it.’
