Uchiha : Rise of the Golden Hawks

Chapter 169: Just 5 Minutes, Guys… I Swear

  • Next Chapter

Hello, everybody!

Here I am, finally ending the first part of my first long fanfic!

Throughout this journey, I have experimented with many things, delayed updates (for which I am guilty 😅), and probably made many other mistakes that I don't even know about. You can always point them out in the comments!

Still, this fanfic has received more views than I ever imagined. I have even found my work on several other platforms where people have copied and reposted it, sometimes getting a huge number of views.

And to those people, I actually have a message.

Thank you! 😂

I never imagined that someone would copy my work and get so many views with it, especially when this was my first long fanfic. I am not being sarcastic here. I genuinely felt happy when I found my story on other platforms. Strangely, you helped my work reach more people, even if that was never your intention.

So, thank you for that!

Putting that aside, I also want to talk a little about my journey as a writer.

When I started, I just wanted to test the waters on NovelPhoenix. To be honest, I have never considered myself a proper writer. I am more of a person who has had too many ideas and too much imagination since childhood.

If you ask me to write a paragraph in English or explain my raw draft exactly as it is, you will probably get something filled with grammatical mistakes and other errors. 😂

That is why I use two AI platforms, GPT and Claude, to help me polish my drafts. I usually give them 1,500 words or more, sometimes divided into three parts, and ask them to improve the writing.

And believe me, if you read some of those polished versions, you might fall asleep! The language and vocabulary they sometimes use are so complicated that you would need a dictionary just to understand what is happening.

Honestly, that is one of the worst ways to write a story.

I spend around 4–6 hours writing a fresh draft, editing it, polishing it with AI, and going through the same process again and again. Sometimes, it feels like the editing never ends. 😂

At one point, around Chapters 40–50, I thought I would start writing five or six chapters every day, upload them here, and make a huge amount of money on Patreon by giving readers 40–50 chapters in advance, just like some other authors.

And yes, that was genuinely one of my biggest motivations. Maybe some of my fellow authors have had the same thought! 😂

But then reality hit me.

I had to stop being delusional. If making that much money by writing fanfiction were so easy, there would be a huge line of authors already doing it.

So, with my limited skills, plenty of mistakes, and whatever strength I had, I kept going. And now, I have finally reached the end of the first part of this fanfic.

For the second part, I want to approach things differently and use everything I have learned so far as a foundation.

So, what can you expect from Part Two?

My simple answer is that I want to make it harsher and more realistic, at least according to how I imagine these characters would behave.

Whenever I write a character, I try to put myself in their shoes and imagine how they would think and feel in their situation.

Let me tell you something about what makes me love a story.

When we read a novel or a fanfic, we don't always see the characters as just fictional people. Sometimes, we live through them. We imagine ourselves in their place, feel their struggles, and experience their victories and failures alongside them.

We don't just think, "This character is cool or badass." Sometimes, we actually feel as if we are that character.

I believe many readers experience this, too.

And if that is not how it works for everyone, then maybe I am the only one with a few screws loose. 😂

Because of that, the next part will include some darker scenes that I think fit the characters and their circumstances.

Toyoma doesn't think he is living inside a story. To him, the Uchiha are his actual family and relatives. Their suffering is real, their future matters, and their survival is personal.

That is why he can be ruthless in certain situations. He understands what might happen to his clan if he does nothing, and he knows the kind of ending they could face without his intervention.

He isn't looking at the Uchiha as readers looking at fictional characters would. He is looking at them as people he genuinely cares about.

And that changes how he makes decisions.

Now, I want to discuss one more thing.

In the previous part, I posted two chapters of Part Two on Patreon: Chapters 6 and 7. I received a complaint that they felt bland and didn't have the same feeling as Chapters 1–5.

I have received similar feedback before, so I decided to look into it instead of simply ignoring it.

I started reading some of the top original novels and also used Claude to help me understand what might be missing from my writing.

One thing I noticed was that I often jumped from one character's point of view to another.

I did this intentionally because I wanted to show what was happening around the world, give different characters their own reasons to act, and make sure the story didn't revolve around Toyoma alone.

But I may have overdone it.

I realised that constantly switching perspectives can make it harder for readers to stay connected to the main character and follow the emotional flow of a scene.

That doesn't mean multiple POVs are bad. Many great stories use them. The problem is that every switch needs a reason. It shouldn't interrupt an important moment just to show what another character is thinking.

So, I want your opinion on something.

Should I make Part Two primarily follow Toyoma's POV and reduce the number of POV switches?

I would still show other characters' perspectives when they are important to the plot, but Toyoma would remain the main focus.

Or do you prefer the current approach, where we get to see the thoughts, plans, and reactions of different characters?

Please tell me what you think in the comments. I genuinely want to hear your opinions because your feedback can help me improve this story.

Thank you for sticking with me through the first part. ❤️

One Last Message About AI

First, I don't think fighting against AI is the answer, whether in writing or any other career. That would be the worst mistake we could make.

Instead, we need to become Mahoraga here. 😂

(If you get the reference, you get it.)

We need to adapt to the changes rather than pretend they aren't happening.

Now, if anyone thinks they can simply use an AI platform to write a novel or fanfic easily, or believes I am cheating by using AI, I have a genuine suggestion.

Buddy, try writing just 15–20 chapters using AI. 😂

Don't just generate a few paragraphs and call it a day. Try to build an actual story with consistent characters, a proper plot, emotional moments, and continuity across those chapters.

Then see what you get.

You might end up looking at your own work and thinking, "What the hell is this shit?" 😂

If you still think it's easy after that, then please tell me how you did it. I'd genuinely like to know!

Now, let me tell you something about my own situation.

Honestly, if I hadn't been unemployed, I might never have started writing in the first place. It was partly because I had so much time on my hands that I decided to test the waters and see where this could take me.

And if this fanfic hadn't received so many views, comments, and reactions, I might never have considered writing seriously or even thought about becoming a professional writer.

I know my limitations, and I am not pretending to be some amazing writer. I also know that what attracted readers to my fanfic was not just the harem or romance. It was the way I presented the story, its characters, and their situations. That gave me an opportunity to attract readers and make my fanfic stand out.

And I want to keep improving that part of my writing.

Right now, I am pursuing a professional business certification to improve my chances of getting a job. It will hopefully take around a year, and I am also learning computer skills alongside it.

If anyone has suggestions about which computer skills I should learn, please tell me in the comments. I'd appreciate it!

As for writing, I am treating it as both my hobby and my side hustle for now. But honestly, I think it will stay with me for a long time.

Because no matter how advanced AI becomes or how many fields it changes, I believe people will still want to read stories.

Why?

Because when we read a novel, we don't just follow a character. We imagine ourselves as that character. We live through their struggles, make decisions alongside them, and experience their victories and failures.

Think about it. When you read a novel, your imagination creates the world, the characters, their expressions, and their experiences inside your head.

With manga and anime, you can already see the characters and their expressions. But with a novel, you have to imagine so much more yourself.

I don't know if I am explaining this properly, but I hope you get what I mean.

And if someone understands my point better than I do, please explain it to the others in the comments. 😂 My English isn't good enough to explain everything I have in my head!

So, coming to the conclusion: I will continue using AI to polish my drafts and help me improve my writing.

I don't want to fall behind simply because I refuse to adapt to new technology. I want to learn how to use it properly while improving my own skills along the way. 💪

And believe me, this has absolutely nothing to do with the money I spent on AI memberships this month.

I am not that cheap, guys. Trust me. 😂😂

Now, let's get to the main part...

Please support this poor little author, guys! 😂 This story is starting to take up more and more of my time.

The second part has already started on P@treon under the name:

Uchiha: When the Hawks Strike

Chapter Seven: The Night of the Nine-Tails

Support this poor little author on P@treon: Hear_tteeth [18+]

As for NovelPhoenix, the next part will be updated here on Friday. I want to build up a chapter buffer first so I can maintain a proper uploading schedule.

From now on, the schedule will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (MWF).

If I get more supporters, I will try to increase the number of updates, too. But don't expect me to start uploading super-long chapters!

And I dare you to complain about the chapter length after reading this author note. 😂😂

One more thing! From the next part onward, I will mention how many chapters I have in stock at the end of each chapter. This way, if you have any suggestions or want me to make changes, you will know how many chapters are already written and how far ahead the story has progressed.

And finally, thank you, guys, for all the support!

Whenever I read your comments and author notes, I honestly can't explain how happy and excited I feel. Sometimes, I suddenly feel like I have become famous. 😂

Believe me, I have searched on ChatGPT hundreds of times, asking, "Who is hear_tteeth?"

When it didn't give me the answer I expected, I tried searching for the name of my fanfic, too. 😂

Sometimes, I read those replies and start feeling like I have become a top author. Maybe I am getting a little too carried away with all this! 🤣

But seriously, thank you for making this journey so special for me. ❤️
