Chapter 1405: Chapter 1405: No Interest in Picking Up Strays in the Snow

"Planning to walk back?" Gu Feimo said calmly.

Ye Shushu met his gaze and blinked.

"Is it... hard to get a cab here?"

Gu Feimo put down the tableware in his hand and stood up.

"Before you leave, tidy up a bit. Oh right, the news just now said the road out of here seems to be completely blocked."

"Before the road is cleared, you’d better not go out. I have no interest in picking people up off the snow."

Gu Feimo went into the bathroom to wash his hands, then took his laptop and sat down at the desk on the other side of the bed.

Ye Shushu’s gaze kept following the man’s figure as he moved.

It wasn’t until he sat down in front of the computer with his back to her that she blinked and came back to herself.

The road out was blocked? What did that mean? Did it mean that leaving tonight wasn’t going to be that easy?

How could she forget that heavy snow would cause so many inconveniences?

Generally speaking, the impact of heavy snow on travel is the most obvious and common, it’s just that someone like her, who lives in a warm place, doesn’t really know that.

On the TV, they were still broadcasting updates about this snowstorm and also the city’s travel problems.

Seeing that Gu Feimo had already started working, Ye Shushu picked up the remote and turned off the TV so it wouldn’t disturb him.

Looking at all the food she liked spread out on the coffee table, she decided not to overthink it, just finish eating and then clean up.

So many different smells mixed in the air; working in an environment like this probably didn’t feel very good.

Anyway, it’s not like she had nowhere to stay now. Worst case, if she borrowed his sofa, she could still sleep well.

It’s just that with him here, she did need to keep her guard up a bit more.

A few minutes later, when Ye Shushu was about eighty percent full, she set down her chopsticks with satisfaction and began to clear the things on the coffee table.

Thinking about it, it seemed her taste and Senior Feimo’s were actually quite similar; at least everything he’d bought back was something she liked to eat.

After tidying everything up, she pushed open the door and took the trash out.

When she came back into the apartment and wiped the coffee table clean, Ye Shushu went over and opened the windows and door a little.

Having some air circulation wasn’t bad, it’s just that the air from outside would make the indoor temperature drop quite a bit.

Ye Shushu hunched her neck against the chill and went back to the wooden rack not far from the door.

Seeing that there was only a single men’s coat on the rack, she frowned slightly, a bit confused.

Where were her clothes? She’d clearly hung her down jacket here—how had it disappeared?

Thinking that it didn’t seem like his clothes should be that thick, Ye Shushu reached out and took his coat down.

Seeing her own coat wrapped inside this big one, she pressed her lips together, a warm feeling spreading in her chest.

Her gaze dropped to the other hooks on the wooden rack, and Ye Shushu felt a bit puzzled.

Weren’t there still plenty of places to hang clothes? Or was this the hook he usually used specifically?

Realizing she’d taken over someone else’s spot, Ye Shushu did feel a little embarrassed.

Still, Senior Feimo was really something—rather than pick another hook, he’d rather share one with her. That was just too cool.

Hanging his coat back where it had been, she put on her own jacket first, then took his coat and walked over.

"Senior Feimo, it’s a bit stuffy in the room, so I opened the windows a little to air it out," she said, standing behind him.

"Mm." Gu Feimo nodded; clearly, he didn’t mind that either.

If he hadn’t noticed her shrinking into herself just now, he wouldn’t have closed the windows and door so tightly.

The man answered faintly, without any extra movement.
