Chapter 139: Chapter 139: Treasure Man

Second floor.

Yamaha Music Store.

Gu Sanming walked out of the store carrying a violin case, absolutely elated. He had waited over two months for this custom-made violin, and it had finally arrived. He couldn’t wait to get back and experience its beautiful tone.

Having just turned fifty, Gu Sanming was a teacher at Rongcheng Music Academy who had dedicated more than half his life to music and education.

As he went downstairs, he suddenly heard a richly layered piano melody.

Was this *He’s a Pirate*? The theme song of Pirates of the Caribbean. It was also his favorite piece.

The piano music was fluid and beautiful, full of rhythm and a deep longing for adventure in unknown worlds. Every melody drew the listener in.

Gu Sanming’s pupils trembled. With a look of excitement on his face, he followed the melody forward.

Quite a few people were holding up their phones, crowding around a young man who was playing the piano with deep emotion. The man was in high spirits, his fingertips dancing across the keys as elegant notes flowed out quietly, conjuring an image of Riding the Wind and Breaking Waves.

At this moment, Gu Sanming couldn’t help himself. He opened his case and rested the violin on his shoulder.

Just as the final note of the song’s first section faded, the clear and melodious sound of the violin suddenly rang out.

Many in the crowd ahead looked surprised and turned to look at him.

Gu Sanming’s gaze passed through the crowd and landed on the young man. He gave a slight nod to the man, who was also looking right back at him.

The next second, the two transitioned into the second movement with perfect tacit understanding. The sounds of the violin and piano blended flawlessly like a heavenly melody, making the surrounding audience hold their breath in rapt attention, savoring this unexpected musical feast.

An unknown amount of time passed before the music finally stopped.

CLAP. CLAP CLAP.

A crisp sound of clapping awakened the entranced crowd. Immediately after, thunderous applause erupted. People chattered endlessly, full of praise.

"What kind of luck do we have tonight? To witness a god-tier live performance like this!"

"Right?! I love Pirates of the Caribbean. I got goosebumps the moment I heard this song!"

"The combination of the violin and piano was absolutely incredible! I love it!"

The staff member standing beside the piano perfectly demonstrated what it meant to be dumbfounded. He had been the first one to clap.

This gentleman playing the piano made him feel like all his own piano lessons had been in vain. The man looked only a few years older than him, yet his skills were leagues ahead by an unimaginable margin. He also recognized the violinist; it was the head of the music department at Rongcheng Music Academy. He hadn’t expected to run into him here, nor had he anticipated accidentally experiencing such a spectacular performance.

The man who had been about to leave earlier was completely dumbfounded after enjoying the performance. He thought, "This... this guy’s flexing is just off the charts."

Recovering his wits, he turned his gaze toward that gorgeous, anime-style housewife. Her beautiful eyes were practically dripping with infatuation.

He thought enviously, "Now that he’s done playing the piano, they can go off and do whatever the hell they want later.

"So damn lucky!

"Tearing off those sheer tights... Tsk, tsk, tsk."

Meanwhile, on the other side stood three beautifully dressed girls.

"Snap out of it!" Qing, one of the girls, nudged her bespectacled companion with a smile on her lips. "Is this guy talented or what?"

The girl blinked a few times, still finding it somewhat unbelievable that someone could play so beautifully. She adjusted her glasses, and when she looked at that handsome figure again, her eyes practically turned into hearts.

"Hehe," she giggled. "I take back what I said earlier.

"This guy is seriously too charming!

"What should I do? This fairy has fallen in love like a mortal!"

Qing nodded. "Me too! But unfortunately, we don’t stand a chance!"

They watched as the handsome man walked with a beaming smile toward a woman with an extraordinary aura. The two then walked out side by side.

Seeing that his Affinity had increased by another 2 points, Su Yunzhou felt fantastic and decided he would play the piano more often in the future.

Xia Wanqing, on the other hand, looked at the composed man before her, feeling as though he were glowing. Every time she spent time with this man, he brought her a different kind of surprise. From their first meeting to riding the bike together, and now this piano performance—she really didn’t know if there was anything he couldn’t do!

The key point was that he was so good-looking and had such an excellent character. When she got drunk last time, he hadn’t taken advantage of her. Without a doubt, this was the legendary "treasure of a man."

Xia Wanqing didn’t even realize that her previously frozen heart was beginning to melt, bit by bit, the more time she spent with him.

Just then, Su Yunzhou stopped in his tracks. He looked at the middle-aged man carrying the violin case not far away. The two exchanged a knowing smile.

Gu Sanming only now realized how young the other party was, leaving him even more astounded. Having spent most of his life in music, he knew exactly what level of piano mastery this man possessed. He could pat his chest and guarantee, "Absolutely Master Level!"

There were only so many piano players in the entirety of Dragon Country who could be called Master Level. He hadn’t expected to encounter another rising star. Undoubtedly, this had to be the disciple of some grandmaster. He really envied whoever managed to find such a great talent.

"Hello, my name is Gu Sanming!"

"Su Yunzhou."

Gu Sanming asked curiously, "Mr. Su, may I ask who your mentor is? I know most of the people in the Chinese music circle. We might even be..."

Su Yunzhou just shook his head silently, though he found it rather amusing, thinking, "I learned from Tong. If you actually knew him, that would be truly badass."

Seeing his reaction, Gu Sanming didn’t press the matter. A true musical kindred spirit was hard to find, and the chemistry they shared during their spontaneous duet was self-evident. He didn’t want to ruin that connection with unnecessary probing.

"Mr. Su, is it convenient for us to grab a cup of tea together?"

"Sure."

Su Yunzhou gladly accepted. Xia Wanqing went along with them.

The three found an elegantly decorated teahouse and had a great time talking. There was no need to consider any interests or social pleasantries; it was simply a cup of tea shared over a mutual appreciation of their performance. The conversational atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed.

More than an hour later, Su Yunzhou declined Gu Sanming’s dinner invitation. After exchanging contact information, he and Xia Wanqing headed to the parking lot.

The Panamera drove toward Poly Champagne Garden. They happened to hit the evening rush hour, so the car kept stopping and starting. However, chatting casually with each other made the ride quite pleasant, and they felt their relationship had grown significantly closer.

Upon arriving at their destination, Su Yunzhou didn’t receive any invitation to go up for a glass of water or to change a light bulb.

Xia Wanqing smiled and waved. "Go back and get to bed early tonight! Don’t forget about our actual business tomorrow."

With that, she swayed her shapely curves and went upstairs.

"Remember!

"She is a money-making tool!

"You have to maintain the proper boundaries!"

Su Yunzhou warned himself inwardly before driving off to find Liu Yiyi. He felt inexplicably heated and needed to find a place to let off some steam.

After arriving at Yujing Bay, Liu Yiyi half-heartedly resisted before fully enjoying their time of pleasure. Afterward, she went back to making dinner.

Meanwhile, Xia Wanqing rarely ate dinner. After returning home, she washed up, tidied the house she hadn’t cleaned in a while, and drifted off to sleep.

However, she inexplicably woke up in the middle of the night. Her thoughts wandered far and wide. One moment she was thinking about the future development of her company, only for an increasingly distinct face to suddenly pop into her mind. The next moment, she was considering what details to pay attention to when meeting with President Ye’s family tomorrow, only for her thoughts to inexplicably jump to a certain someone’s handsome face.

"Argh!

"Xia Wanqing, it’s late. Stop overthinking!

"Drink some honey water and get a good night’s sleep!"

After scolding herself, Xia Wanqing turned on the light and walked out of the bedroom. She then groggily sat on the sofa holding her cup.

Suddenly, she remembered that a few days ago, a certain someone had slept right here for the night.

Images involuntarily surfaced in her mind. His handsome posture while riding the bike. His radiant glow while playing the piano. Finally, it froze on the image of him lying on the sofa, revealing muscles sculpted like a statue from Ancient Greece.

"Phew..."

Xia Wanqing’s breathing grew heavy, and her body felt a bit hot. Lying on the sofa, her fair hand reached down uncontrollably...

This scene was just like a plot straight out of an anime housewife manga.

Words failed her as her imagination ran wild. Ultimately...
