Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 1913: Dug a Pit
"I don’t need your help here for now; having Rubby Miller is enough."
Angel said to her in a calm tone, "Go around and learn a bit. The artists are almost all here. Interact more with their assistants, use your eyes to see what assistants are usually busy with."
Is it really this good?
Will she actually give her time to learn?
"Alright, thank you, Keira," Abby Sawyer replied, not realizing it was a trap, at least at this moment, her heart was filled with gratitude.
The makeup room was large, several hundred square meters, with dressing tables set at even distances apart, and everyone’s position was arranged according to their role.
The indoor lighting sparkled like glass.
Abby Sawyer glanced at the makeup artist beside her, opened the toolkit, and was preparing to do Angel’s makeup.
She turned and stepped aside, heading in the direction Sharon was pleased with, who even took a special glance at her back.
Angel stared at her beautiful reflection in the mirror, her pretty face showing no emotion.
The artists were arriving one after another, with almost every seat occupied.
"Hey, hey, hey, miss, can you do me a favor?"
Someone halted Abby Sawyer’s steps. She turned to look at the unfamiliar girl sitting in the chair. Judging by her demeanor, she likely played an important role too.
Seeing her stop, the girl smiled, "Can you get me the dress from the dressing room next door? It’s the first one you see when you enter, hanging on the rack, with a big bow on the front. I’m about to have my makeup done and can’t go fetch it myself."
Abby Sawyer looked at her. Her makeup artist was already busy, and it seemed like her assistant hadn’t arrived yet.
"Alright, just a moment."
Kind-hearted, she agreed, and took the chance to visit the dressing room next door, considering it familiarizing with the environment.
"Thank you!" The female artist was quite polite.
The task seemed ordinary, and originally was not difficult. When Abby entered the dressing room, she immediately saw the described dress.
Pure white as snow, with a waist-hugging design, it exuded a serene elegance.
She reached out, carefully took it down, and gently placed it on her arm. A faint fragrance wafted, and Abby was cautious not to crease it, holding the dress with utmost care as she turned to leave.
Just as she exited, a girl suddenly appeared out of nowhere, bumping into her chest—
"Ah—!"
The bowl of soup in the girl’s left hand and the chicken drumstick in her right hand smashed onto the pristine dress! The soy-colored broth covered most of the skirt and continued dripping down.
Regaining her balance, Abby immediately checked the dress, her clear eyes filled with disbelief! She looked up at the girl holding the bowl!
"Sorry, so sorry, I didn’t mean it!" The girl quickly bowed in apology, then hurriedly ran off!
"Hey!" Abby shouted at the retreating figure, but couldn’t stop her.
The figure quickly vanished beyond sight.
What to do now? This was a situation Abby hadn’t anticipated. She forced herself to remain calm and thought it through carefully.
Even as just a new assistant, she knew how important this dress was to the artist, but now...
Fortunately, there was still time. She decided to confess the situation, urging the artist to wear another backup dress; surely there would be a backup dress.
Thus, she hurried back into the makeup room with the dress.
Abby approached the artist, bowed respectfully, and said sincerely, "I’m sorry, miss, I got the dress dirty."
The female artist turned her eyes, her face changing dramatically, "What?!" The next second, she slammed the table, "Are you kidding me?! How did it end up like this?! You did it on purpose, didn’t you?! You’re afraid I’ll steal Angel’s spotlight, right?!"
