Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 1881: Affection Continues to Grow
Back in Riventhal, Trevor would go to the company every morning to handle work matters, then have lunch with Janelle and give her his entire afternoon.
Under the warm sunshine, they wore matching outfits and held hands while shopping.
They’d visit DIY craft stores to make meaningful little items for each other, leaving postcards on the shop walls.
They went to amusement parks, rode pirate ships and roller coasters, screaming hand in hand, took photos of each other at the same angles on the Ferris wheel, and even changed their WeChat avatars to couple pictures...
Amidst the crowds, she held up a candied hawthorn, making funny faces, while he snapped a nine-frame series.
Janelle had great skin and was very photogenic, so every photo turned out beautiful without needing any editing.
They also went to a pet store and adopted a cute Papillon...
In the evening, back at Trevor’s home, Janelle was a bit exhausted, leaning on the sofa with a pillow in her arms. Trevor gave her a leg massage, "Are they sore?"
"A little," Janelle suddenly excitedly said to him, "Quick, grab that booklet, let’s see how many little things we accomplished today?"
"At least three," Trevor got up, took the booklet, and flipped it open, "Went to the amusement park, did some crafts, adopted a Papillon."
The cute, white Papillon bounced around the living room, seemingly very satisfied with this new home and quite fond of its two new owners.
"Lily, come here! Hurry!" Janelle waved to the little furball, gently calling out its name.
The little dog tossed its tiny head and excitedly ran over to her, jumping into her arms and panting as if it was laughing.
Trevor wrote the date on the three little things accomplished today and pressed handprints on it with Janelle.
This kind of relationship was truly delightful, with each day being incredibly fulfilling and full of happiness. It wasn’t just about completing tasks; the time together gave each other the strongest emotional value.
Their relationship heated up swiftly.
Nighttime.
Anton Miller had just driven out of the club when a large group of reporters surrounded him, forcing him to hit the brakes.
The car window was open, and several microphones shoved in. Faces and cameras were right outside.
"Anton, Lacy jumped into the river to take her life. Have you heard about this?"
"Anton, was Lacy’s last call made to you?"
"Anton, please respond to this matter?"
Anton Miller’s thick eyebrows furrowed slightly, his cold eyes impatiently sweeping over them, "Who is she? What does she have to do with me? We broke up already, no contact, get out of the way!"
Even at a distance, one could feel his anger. As soon as he finished speaking, he slammed on the gas pedal.
The reporters couldn’t dodge in time, and someone got hit!
The car sped away in a cloud of dust!
After breaking through the blockade, Anton Miller slowed down, took out his phone, and opened the news page, seeing that Lacy’s river-jumping incident had made the headlines.
His face was serious, and he was at a loss for words, as he had also ended up on the front page.
There was now a huge public opinion online, linking it to their past relationship, which made Anton Miller very angry.
For the sake of traffic, they’ll write anything!
Since Lacy walked out that door, they haven’t been in contact, and he hadn’t wronged her; during their relationship, he gave her a credit card which she had already spent a lot on.
Back home, Anton Miller didn’t bother looking at the news anymore, not wanting to deal with these matters.
The phone rang; it was Gigi calling. He sat on the sofa, changed his mood, and answered, "Hey, Master Gigi!" A smile appeared on his face.
[Guess: Who is Bibi, who likes cats?]
