Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 1808: A Truly Sincere Father
"Then I’ll look for any treasure spots nearby." She withdrew her hand from his palm, took out her phone, opened the Xiao Hong Shu app, and began searching nearby.
Jocelyn is a literary kind of girl; she doesn’t care much about food but has some requirements for the environment.
She likes relatively quiet, elegantly aesthetic places, where inspiration for writing often strikes.
"Found one, I think you’ll like it too." She tapped the navigation, input the location; it’s roughly seven kilometers away.
Ian Shelby followed the route; anything she liked, he would like too.
He took her hand again, cherishingly interlocking their fingers, as the warmth from their palms intertwined.
"Jocelyn, I’ve found my sister." He spoke softly, after much contemplation, he decided to share this news with her.
Jocelyn Morgan was slightly startled, then turned to look at him, her eyes filled with surprise, "When did this happen? Where is she?" Amazing, isn’t it?!
Ian Shelby hadn’t told his father, but he told Jocelyn, indicating he really considered her family.
He was driving, glanced at her, "It’s Janelle Mills."
Jocelyn Morgan was truly stunned for a few seconds, then her lips started to curve upwards, "Does she...know herself?"
"She knows."
Ian Shelby shifted his gaze back ahead, his tone was calm as if narrating someone else’s story—
"Today I saw Auntie Sterling at the hospital wearing a red bracelet on her wrist, which was my sister’s. Knowing the bracelet’s owner was Janelle Mills, I took her for a paternity test, and the results are already out."
The circle is indeed small, and fate runs deep!
After searching for his sister for so long, she actually turned out to be someone everyone knew.
"Well..." Jocelyn smiled, "Congratulations!"
He remained silent, not looking particularly happy.
She glanced at him, thought from various aspects, and tried to ask, "What about Mr. Mills and Mrs. Mills? How do they feel? Can they accept it?"
For them, it must be quite a blow.
Ian Shelby squeezed her hand, replying truthfully, "They can’t accept it immediately, they’ll need time."
And he is willing to give them that time.
The sister has grown up, and he knows he can’t take her away; this matter must be handled properly without hurting anyone.
Then a brief silence enveloped the car; Jocelyn also didn’t say anything further.
Janelle is actually Ian Shelby’s long-lost sister... Jocelyn too needs some time to process this fact.
Nevertheless, she’s still glad; finally finding her, it fulfills a long-standing wish.
Inside the Morgan family’s villa.
Bertie set down his teacup, his smile brimming as he spoke again, "Thank you for your understanding. Buying a house and a car is our family’s matter. Feel free to ask for the bride price; of course, if you don’t, we’ll strictly adhere to local customs without ever putting Jocelyn at a disadvantage. She’s marrying into our family, and I’ll treat her like a daughter."
Through today’s communication and exchange, Everett Morgan and Jasmine were thoroughly moved by this father, so sincere and considerate in all aspects.
"You’ve come such a long way. Does Ian Shelby know?" Jasmine tried to ask, feeling that Dr. Shelby might not be aware.
Indeed, the old King shook his head with a smile, "I’ve kept it from him; he doesn’t know yet."
Everett Morgan was startled; such a distinguished identity, yet he came alone without even a bodyguard?
And Ian Shelby didn’t know!
Everett Morgan felt that, since he knew, he should inform Ian Shelby, as this matter is not trivial.
So, while Jasmine and Bertie continued their conversation, he took his phone, stood up, and left.
