Turns Out, I'm from a Real Aristocratic Family!

Chapter 7

Do It

“Where did this girl come from? Leave us alone, we are busy and don’t have time to argue with you,” Su Jing retorted, growing increasingly frustrated. She couldn’t comprehend why a young girl like her had appeared in the midst of their professional discussion.

“Quack doctors,” Fang Yuan muttered under her breath, not willing to engage in further arguments. She turned to leave.

However, Su Jing couldn’t tolerate it any longer. She snapped at Fang Yuan, “Stop right there!”

“Jingjing, don’t argue with a young girl. Old Master Bo’s condition is of utmost importance at the moment,” Professor Wang tried to calm her down.

“But she called me a quack!” Su Jing couldn’t tolerate such an insult. She glared at Fang Yuan, the youngest associate chief doctor in the entire hospital, who had achieved numerous accolades. How dare a young girl question her medical expertise?

“She knows nothing, why are you wasting your time arguing with her?” The male doctor grew increasingly anxious, desperate to find a solution for Old Master Bo. Regardless of the circumstances, they couldn’t allow him to die in the hospital, as it would implicate everyone present. While surgery was currently not feasible, they couldn’t simply watch him perish. Administering heart-suppressing medication and providing comfort seemed like the only available option.

“Who are you calling a quack doctor?” Su Jing approached Fang Yuan, her voice filled with confrontation. “Tell me, I’m listening!”

“Who else?” Fang Yuan raised an eyebrow, clearly dismissing her.

“You!” This audacious girl was pushing her limits!

Fang Yuan crossed her arms and nonchalantly replied, “He has no choice but to undergo the surgery.”

“Surgery? It’s easy for a child like you to say,” Su Jing scoffed. “This elderly man has already undergone five heart surgeries, and his heart is in a fragile state. No hospital, not even Renyi Hospital, would dare to perform a sixth surgery on his scarred heart.”

“Please calm down,” Professor Wang attempted to defuse the situation, but Su Jing’s temper couldn’t be contained.

“There is no record of a case like this in our country or abroad! It’s an unprecedented situation!” Su Jing asserted confidently. “Do you understand the complexity of the surgery? We have consulted numerous renowned cardiovascular specialists both nationally and internationally, and none have come up with a better solution!”

Fang Yuan looked up, her expression determined. “That’s because you can’t.”

“Oh, so you think you can do it if we can’t?” Su Jing sneered. “If you really can, go ahead then!”

Fang Yuan glanced at the elderly man on the bed nonchalantly. “You can’t afford my services.”

Su Jing found that amusing. “This elderly man is no ordinary person. Money is inconsequential to him. If you can save him, I’ll kneel down and call you my ancestor, let alone money!”

Fang Yuan responded playfully, “Alright, no problem!”

Su Jing couldn’t help but scoff. “You have no idea what you’re talking about! Have you even graduated from high school? Do you even know the location of the heart? Surgery isn’t like cutting a piece of meat with a knife. It’s not as simple as you think. I don’t care where you’re from, but apologize and leave. We can pretend this never happened!”

Fang Yuan glanced at Su Jing’s work pass and spoke disdainfully, “You’re just an associate chief doctor in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, and you can’t even perform an artificial valve replacement. And you want me to apologize?”

“You!”

“Calling you a quack would be an insult to the word ‘quack’!”

Su Jing exploded. “Just listen to what this girl is saying!”

The female chief doctor interjected, “She even knows about artificial valve replacement…” So many professional methods were mentioned by a young girl. Could she really possess medical knowledge?

The male doctor also realized this and whispered, “What if we let her try? What if she actually has a solution?”

“Dean, are you out of your mind? We can’t trust the words of a little girl!” Su Jing lowered her voice. “Do you know who Old Master Bo is? If something goes wrong, none of us here will be able to escape. Do you really think a young girl can shoulder the blame?”

The male Dean sighed helplessly. “But we’re running out of options…”

“What about…” the Dean suggested boldly, “inviting Doctor Chen to give it a try?”

Yang Chen was widely recognized as a genius in the hospital, but…

“Doctor Chen is incredibly proud. He wouldn’t treat someone who isn’t his patient,” Su Jing responded.
