Chapter 353: Blackout State (2)

The corridor stood still, silence blanketing the tense atmosphere. Four figures could be seen present, under the bright florescent lights fixated on the castle brick walls. Illuminating the place than before.

"Kyle, you’re awake." Lumia smiled cancelling her ability, causing Lucias body to plummet downwards.

Rushing over to him, she embraced him in a tight hug. Prompting his body to flinch a bit from her sudden action, caught off guard.

’Is this real?’ There was no denying lumia’s actions right now were strange, to say the least. Not in her personality or characteristics to be this clingy.

Yes she was jovial and carefree in nature, but she was also somewhat independent and decisive when need be.

[I can read her energy and determine her vitals, so yes. This is reality.] Snow sarcastically muttered, making Kyle squint his eyes a bit. Still lost what transpired while on kraken.

"Lumia what’s going on?" Kyle firmly asked, breaking the awkward ice.

"Oh! Where are my manners.." She softly giggled, brushing some strands of her hair back.

"You must have so many questions which will be answered, but for now you have to-"

"Lumia!" A powerful voice caught her sentence off, booming with power and authority.

’Shit! It’s the king, we’re dead for sure.’ Layla bellowed inwardly, already ascertained whom that voice belonged to.

As it was none other than the ruthless king, ruling with blood and an iron fist. His presence was already seen not too far from the group, along with a woman with black bulb cut hair.

Wearing a considerable short black dress, and white lab coat. Which did little to none of hiding her curvaceous body. Behind them was some space guards in the sleek black battle suit, holding a pair of blue energy sword each.

Thud! Thud!

Troy’s face had an indifferent expression, blankly unreadable to anyone. And while his thoughts were conserved, it was clear he wasn’t in a good mood.

"I told you not to interfere, have you lost your mind?" Troy grunted with a light scowl, his fist tightly clenched together noticing his daughter standing beside the peasant.

’Phew~ At least he didn’t change.’ Kyle inwardly sighed in relief, glad to see the same cold and calculative killer expression on troy’s face.

[You know.. sometimes I wonder how you survived this far with that low IQ of yours.] Snow remarked, seemingly shocked by Kyle’s unnatural thinking faculty.

’Experience young one.. The ways of the cultured society are meant to be mastered, not understood.’ Kyle telepathically relayed, softly inhaling air into his lungs.

"Maybe I have." Lumia shot back, with zero fear or interest in her father’s words. Causing Kyle to stare dumbfounded, at the sudden outburst of character from the timid emotional princess.

’What the hell is wrong with her? Has she lost her mind?’ He questioned, not having a clue where lumia’s actions were heading to. As it certainly wasn’t going to be good, specifically for him, with the cold king involved.

"But you can’t blame me for going crazy after all that’s happened." She paused, lowering her head a bit.

Formation of tears blocking her vision, while she struggled to hold them back. A stinging pain swelling in her chest, like the weight of a building dropped on her.

"You think I don’t know what you did? H-how could you, she was also your daughter!" Lumia stuttered with teary eyes, her voice shaky with built-in emotions rising.

’She knows.’

Before Kyle died, and was transported to the first world tears/healing water. As stated by the original feminine entity, he along with a few people knew of Lynn’s demise.

Present on the ground floor during the battle between Marley, disguised as ona. And the proud liutenent, before the monster known as the ruthless king stepped in.

Attempting to place his hand to her shoulder it stopped, his mind lost for words to come up with.

[You could always offer her a place in your harem.] Snow chipped in, with her usual playful seductive tone.

’Shut up!’

Taking a deep breath, Troy calmly approached Lumia.

"Don’t take another step or I’ll put you down." Lumia screamed, her hands stretched out raising lucias and Layla beam blasters. An invisible force pulling on the trigger button.

"Your highness, it’s not safe. Please retreat back to the defensive line." Xylo, the team leader of the 14th and last division of space guards interjected.

Certainly against troy’s careless act, debuting the gauge of his power. ’He’s a ruthless killing machine, but against his daughter I’m afraid he’s sitting duck.’

Not responding Troy didn’t stop or falter in his step. Giving a glance to Layla and Lucias, passing them by while he closed the gap between Lumia.

"I’m warning you! I won’t hesitate to shoot you!" The petite frame beauty yelled, tightening her grip. Pulling the trigger button towards fire level.

A faint blue glow had formed at the tip of the blaster, getting brighter and bigger in size. The static sound emitting from the charging weapon, threatened a warning which Troy ignored.

’Damnit. A blast like that to him without any equipment, at short range would be serious casualties. Even for someone of his caliber.’ Xylo pondered, his hand hovering above the hilt of the blue energy sword.

"I suggest you maintain your position unless you want to get on the king’s bad side." A soft voice blurted out, snapping Xylo attention to the side.

"But her condition has been unstable for a while now, what if she actually goes through with her plan?" The latter questioned with a complicated expression. Contemplating on the oath he swore to uphold, and the king’s decision.

Sighing, the cocky scientist adjusted her glass a bit. "Either she pulls the trigger or not depends solely on her. Trust me, I don’t like this one bit like you, but the King decision is finally."

She stated, slightly shaking her head watching the scene unfold.

"I know how you feel daughter.. The loss of something you hold dear gone forever, leaves an eternal scar in your heart." He voiced out in a rather calm tone, taking two more steps now in front of Lumia.

Sniffing, her body trembled now close with the man she grew up with. Images of her childhood spent mostly in silence, sometimes with her sister Lynn playing in her head.

There were even brief occasions, she remembered the three of them spent time as an actual family. Laughing, training, getting through tough times after both women mother’s demise.

"I-i just want everything to go back to the way it was." Tears streamed down her eyes, unable to hold back her built up dam. The two beam blasters falling to the ground, Lumia caught in troy’s embrace.

"I know, I know.." Troy comforted her, gently brushing her purple hair with his hand.

’Bastard!’ Kyle fumed, knowing full well the cold king was making a reference to him.

[Tell me master, does his pettiness alarms you?] Snow playfully asked, earning a grunt from Kyle.

"While I can’t promise everything will return back to the way it was. I can guarantee you the three of us will live as a family again." He spoke, his voice barely above a whisper.

’I-is he saying what I think he is?’ Kyle queried with a stunned facial.

[Haha~ I knew it! Though I’m unsure how he perfectly replicated her aura signature and skill, there’s no doubt that was also a doppelganger. And not the real Lynn.]

Gesturing his hand, some guards moved in to intercept Kyle. Placing the same blue glowing cuffs on his wrist, immediately cutting off his energy source.

[Warning! Power cuff detected.. Host mana energy gas been subdued!]

The system warning message flashed before his view, while escorted out by the space guards. Along side the brilliant scientist.

...

Passing through the castle floor, Kyle noticed some significant changes in the rooms layout. Like for starters, there were now dark wooden doors placed in position of the former steel doors.

Which was weird, considering steel provided more security than wood. But inspecting closer, he could see the outline of the texture which looked like scales?

’Those are dargon’s scales, right?’ Kyle asked to be sure, to which his system guide confirmed.

[The wood used in making those doors has familiarities with the one’s Lisa used, in subduing the blue skinned dargon. Toppled with the Green scales of the dargon’s almost impenetrable skin, makes this defense 20× more durable than linder.] Snow explained, which Kyle took in.

Taking a left at the end of the corridor, they made their way to a hall. It was secluded from the rest position of the other doors, along with an extra layer of defense.

"Miss Reze ~" The guards stationed here greeted in unison upon sight.

Nodding, Reze then unlocked the black wooden door with a special key. "You can leave now, I’ll like to have a private discussion with him."

Hesistant Xylo gave in to the cocky scientist demands, exiting with his squad to attend to other affairs.

Entering the hall, the door clicked shut behind them. Staring at the room, it was just like Reze previous lab in the teleportation bay. Except with lesser space and equipment, and of course no teleportation pad present.

"Nice Lab." Kyle was the first to speak.

"Thanks.." She uttered with a light sigh, taking a seat on a black spinning chair.

"What’s wrong? Did I hit a nerve?"

"You’re the one to talk.. let’s see, how do I put this easy?" She pondered, placing her finger to her chin.

"As you must be aware, you died from interfering with the world tears. Which means you were in a blackout state for literally 2 weeks, and suddenly wake up and act like everything’s fine?"

"What can I say? I like the thrill." Kyle slyly responded with a smug smirk.

"Of course.. Then I’m certain you’d be thrilled to learn of the state of your friend. Falcon."
