Su Yu only needed to keep his Heaven Gate open when Culture King was doing so to allow the passage of power.

This would also allow Su Yu to borrow some of Culture King's power when needed.

Return thought about it and solemnly said, "Su Yu, this is the last time I'm doing this. I wish to cooperate with you, but I don't want to die. Culture King's enemy is too strong."

Su Yu sneered and asked, "Is that so? How strong can this enemy be? Why isn't Culture King dead? Human Emperor is stronger than Culture King. In short, this enemy is probably as strong as Human Emperor. Didn't you claim that you're as strong as Human Emperor?"
