This would be a test of their ability to handle changes, their courage, and their strength.

Great Zhou King said, “In that case, we have three options. First, Human Mountain. Second, Dao Origin Land. Third, the territories of the three major races. We have to make the correct choice. In truth, the Human Mountain is an extremely dangerous place to attack. I would rather attack their territories than that place…”

Su Yu thought for a long while before saying, “My first choice is the Dao Origin Land, followed by the Human Mountain. Their territories are my final choice.”

Everyone was shocked to hear that. This was what Great Zhou King was most worried about. His expression turned solemn. He knew that Su Yu was incredibly bold. With three options available, Su Yu would probably pick the most dangerous option.

“We know nothing about the Dao Origin Land.” Great Zhou King said solemnly, “Even if Stable Army Marquis knows a little about that place, his information is outdated by six thousand years. That is enough time for everything to change. There are probably more than ten heavenly kings there.”

Su Yu nodded, “I’m aware of that.”

Su Yu smiled, “Don’t worry.”

Su Yu smiled and said, “Lan Tian, start gathering information about the Dao Origin Land, the Human Mountain, and the territories of the three major races.”

Try to kill an ancient beast or two and lay down a few concealment formations there.”

After a short pause, Su Yu said, “The two of you might not be enough for this task. Grandstar, you’ll go with them as well.”

Grandstar answered solemnly, “Yes.”

Su Yu looked at the others. With September gone, he was left with only Great Zhou King, Stable Army Marquis, and Chong Ming.

“Stable Army Marquis…”

The two stared at each other in silence. After a long while, Su Yu asked solemnly, “Do you fear death?”

At that, Stable Army Marquis hesitated. After a moment, he said, “Yes. But I’ve lived long enough.”

Su Yu smiled and asked, “Can you complete a mission for me?”

“Please give the order, Emperor Yu.”

“Launch surprise attacks against the various minor races. Only you and Chong Ming. None of us will be there with you.”

Su Yu continued, “Attack and kill. You don’t need to focus on Daofuses. You can also stick to killing Eternals and Sunmoons. You are a familiar face to all of them. Kill and warn them that all who participate in the Myriad Race Assembly will be killed without mercy.

“This will be very dangerous. You know this. Any mistake will kill you. With your intelligence, you might also die to some random scheme.”

Stable Army Marquis said helplessly, “Emperor Yu, I might not be good at many things, but I’m very good at running. I wouldn’t have survived until today otherwise. You have simply found no use for my brain since you have too many capable individuals by your side.”

Why was this guy looking down on him?

This was an insult!

Su Yu laughed and said, “Cut that nonsense. Answer me. Do you dare to accept this mission? Apart from the three major races, the nether, phoenix, and some other races won’t be easy to handle either. You will focus on attacking the races with fewer than three Daofuses. Kill. Kill until they no longer dare to attend the so-called assembly. Kill until they are all forced to stay defensive back home. Kill until the myriad races believe that we are stopping them from coming together.”

Stable Army Marquis noted all that down and asked, “So I don’t need to focus on killing Daofuses?”

Stable Army Marquis nodded and asked, “What if we manage to find a chance to kill a Daofuse?”

“Give up on it.” Su Yu said, “An opportunity like that will most likely be a trap. That is even more so when you believe it to be an opportunity. Keep your goal in mind. You’re not there to kill Daofuses. You’re there to sow chaos and spread panic.”

“I understand.” Stable Army Marquis nodded. This was his very first independent mission from Su Yu. Since Chong Ming was actually a subordinate of his, this was as good as an independent mission.

“Each of you will take a Lan Tian alongside you.”

Everyone’s expression turned stiff.

Su Yu laughed and said, “Communication up here is difficult. I don’t trust message transmissions. After all, the communication system up here wasn’t built by us. The myriad races can intercept our messages way too easily. Thus, just take a Lan Tian with you. He won’t mind losing a few clones here and there. This will make communication easier between us. Lan Tian can detect all his clones within a certain range.”

Stable Army Marquis was rather unwilling to follow this order. Lan Tian was too crazy.

But he couldn’t refuse since it was an order from Su Yu.

Su Yu laughed and said, “Stop playing around. Transform to something else.”

The girl Lan Tian pouted before turning into a blade of grass growing atop Stable Army Marquis’ head.

Stable Army Marquis felt even more helpless.

The same happened to the others. Some gained a piece of stone. Some gained a random plant. Grandstar, the worst off among them, gained a toad on his head. Grandstar suspected that Lan Tian was calling him names indirectly. He was not a toad! He was a fish beast. But after he ate all those bugs at Buried Soul Mountain, Lan Tian had been treating him like a toad.

“Okay. Time to split off. Stable Army Marquis’ group will be the riskiest group due to their lack of concealment ability. I guess you need to start praying for your safety.”

A bleak sensation engulfed Stable Army Marquis. Why was Su Yu speaking like he was heading toward his death?
