It was still night. Kellar sat outside, watching the snowflakes fall in the dark. Time in this world had passed quickly; he had already been here for several months, and the tribe was improving. He kept the skill panel open before his eyes, but he had written nothing.

He could only think about Helga. Despite using the Bear God’s will to soften the blow, she could not forgive herself. Worse still, she was the one who had proactively given herself to him, believing she was merely abandoning a traitor, only to find out Krag was the leader’s right-hand man.

Kellar knew it was risky. He had expected her to remain reserved, yet she had willingly come to him. Having promised Krag he would care for her, Kellar had no choice but to fulfill it... and he had enjoyed it. An affair was exciting when forbidden, but now that everything was in the open, things could spiral out of control.

"Whatever has to come, let it come," said Kellar with a sigh, taking a swig from his wine mug.

"I hope this winter ends soon," muttered Kellar to himself. "I want to get new drinks. I miss the taste of beer... a little malt wouldn’t hurt."

Kellar’s mind began to wander, trying to block out the thoughts tormenting him. He shifted his focus to combat skills. Lightning was useful and had an advantage against metallic targets, but he doubted the dragon would conduct electricity well. He needed to think deeper.

"What if instead of just using my energy, I use physics and nature itself?" pondered Kellar. "No... that would make me dependent. I’d have to wait for storms or fight in specific environments. That won’t work. I can’t think of anything to create."

Finishing his drink, he stood up.

"Well, we’ll solve it when the time comes," said Kellar, heading inside to sleep.

As he crossed the threshold, he found Helga waiting for him.

Kellar looked at her, the dim room growing heavy with the distance between them. She stood by the window, gazing out into the freezing night. Kellar approached, took her hand without a word, and led her toward the hearth, where the fire cast long shadows across the wooden floor.

Her eyes were red, but her gaze held a grim determination.

"Make sure my husband’s sacrifice isn’t in vain," said Helga, looking at him. "I want a child... so please, give it to me."

Helga walked to the leather sofa and leaned over the backrest, turning her back to Kellar. She bent forward, resting her forearms against the cushions and spreading her hips with a stiff urgency that betrayed the storm inside her. She avoided his eyes, refusing to meet his gaze.

"Are you sure about this, Helga?" asked Kellar, stepping up behind her and resting his hands on her hips. "You don’t have to force yourself."

"I’m not forcing myself," whispered Helga, keeping her face hidden in the shadows of the sofa. "I need this... I need to know that every decision brought us here for a reason. Don’t stop, Kellar. Just take me... please."

Kellar let out a low breath, feeling the warm skin of her thighs tremble beneath his fingers. The position kept Krag’s ghost hovering in the room; it was no longer the thrill of a secret affair, but an act weighed down by desperation and guilt.

Kellar pulled down his trousers and lined himself up between her legs. He pressed against her damp entrance and pushed inside with one firm stroke, filling her completely.

"Ahhh! Mmmngh...!" let out Helga, a muffled groan against the leather cushion as she dug her nails into the fabric.

"Is this alright?" murmured Kellar in her ear, establishing a deep rhythm that made the wooden floor creak under their weight.

"Yes... ah!... yes...", panted Helga, squeezing her eyes shut. "It feels... warm... m-ngh!... but why does it feel like you’re so far away?"

"I’m right here," replied Kellar in a raspy voice, holding her hips firmly as he increased the momentum of his thrusts, driving deep inside her over and over.

"You... you made him leave...", whimpered Helga between short gasps, letting out a ragged groan every time his hips crashed against her. "And now... ah!... now I’m giving myself to you... mngh!... completely...!"

"It was his choice, Helga," grunted Kellar, quickening the pace. Each stroke was deep, drawing out cries that wavered between physical pleasure and hidden sobs. "And it was yours to wait for me on this sofa."

"I know... Ah! Kellar...! Ahhh! Right there...!" cried out Helga, her face buried in the cushions as her inner walls contracted in tight waves around him. "Give me... give me that child... m-ngh!... make it real...!"

Kellar clenched his teeth, overcome by the intensity of the moment. With one final drive, he buried himself as deep as he could go, letting out a low growl as his warmth spilled inside her. Helga let out a long, trembling groan, her body shuddering over the sofa as her orgasm broke over her completely.

Kellar stayed inside her for a few moments longer, breathing heavily against her back. Helga didn’t move or turn around; she kept her eyes closed, feeling his warmth settle deep in her belly while silent tears slipped down her cheeks.

Author thoughts

Hi everyone! It’s me, your beloved author who loves crafting uncomfortable and tension-filled scenes.

What did you think of this mini-arc? I know many of you voiced your frustration about Krag being turned into a slave right from the start; I know it felt unfair and that he didn’t deserve it (after all, he’s probably my second favorite character). However, I wanted to build a small arc with a plot twist that wouldn’t be so easy to predict, just to surprise you all with something I’ve been planning for over 100 Chapters.

I’d love to hear your thoughts: do you enjoy these high-tension arcs? This was a pretty bizarre Chapter focused heavily on what happens when characters are pushed to their psychological limits. I know it might make some readers uncomfortable, so I’d appreciate your feedback—if you liked it, I have plenty more prepared!

Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who leaves comments. I read every single one, good or bad, and adjust things accordingly. Don’t ever think I ignore you!

Cheers and thank you so much for reading!
