As that word left his lips, it transformed into the conceptual firmament of death and speared towards the shadow that stayed still.

The conceptual firmament touched the shadow and passed through its body as if it wasn't even there.

Rion blinked in confusion, and the shadow said, "It seems you have yet to understand the Absolute Spark's working."

Golden flames flared across his right arm, and he swung it at the shadow.

It shifted its pale eyes at the incoming fist and stopped it with its fingers.

"To think you would use aura against divinity, you really know nothing," it stated flatly and grabbed Rion's arm by the wrist.

Rion pulled his arm to free himself, but the shadow didn't even budge from its place.

Shadowy tendrils came out of its hand and began to climb Rion's arm like dark serpents.

'What the hell am I supposed to do?' Rion screamed inwardly and swung his left hand at it.

Tendrils shot out of its body and caught his left hand, freezing it in place.

Rion's expression turned grim, and the tendrils reached his neck.

They tightened around his neck and began to choke him, but no matter how much they tried, Rion stayed unaffected.

"Why aren't you dying?" The shadow asked in an intrigued tone.

Rion glared into his eyes and spewed, "You are just too weak."

A wide, eerie grin appeared on the shadow's featureless face and sent a shiver down Rion's spine.

Suddenly, more tendrils shot out of its body and began to wrap around his body, entirely engulfing him in darkness.

Once consumed, the tendrils turned sharp and shot inwardly.

His whole body was stabbed, and his organs were shifted from their usual place; however, while they were doing so, they unknowingly shifted his heart away from the seal that kept the Abysmal Flame trapped.

Purple flames burst out of him, and the shadow spat him out.

Rion fell to the ground, and his body was swallowed in purple flames.

The shadow stared at the purple flames with a horrified expression and muttered, "You dare use the flames of that wretched being."

Rion slowly rose to his feet and clenched his fist a few times.

'I feel stronger,' he thought and exhaled audibly.

The pitch-black around them began to twist into architectures of violence, and unexpectedly, Rion began to dance.

The dance was weird — it had a strange rhythm, but it didn't seem to be without thought.

It was a dance that he had learnt by vision.

It was the Dance of Yama.

Seeing the strange movement, the air around the shadow turned bitingly cold, and he whispered, "How do you know that dance?"

Rion ignored him and continued his movements.

The purple flames and the demonic energy merged and moved to the center of his chest.

His aura, ether, and life essence followed and all five — now, four — merged.

The chaotic demonic flames and the orderly ether supported one another.

The wilful aura and the life energy strengthened one another.

Changes appeared across Rion's body, his flesh began to glow, the sclera of his eyes turned black, and his pupils turned golden. Lastly, his black hair gleamed like the night sky, and his whole body radiated a presence which could only be described as Divine.

Following his transformation, a screen appeared before his eyes.

[Your aura has temporarily reached the stage of enlightenment!]

[Skill: Godflare can be used freely in this state!]

Rion's lips curled upwards, and he whispered, "Godflare..."

Just as those words escaped his lips, cracks appeared all over the dark world, and golden light spilled out of them. And at the center appeared a bright, cubic diamond with rings around it.

The shadow raised its head and looked at the marvelous cube.

"The Nexus..." it whispered.

Rion felt his strength go beyond any limit, and the shadow felt its vision change as Rion's fist crashed into its abdomen.

The attack left a gaping hole from which dripped the shadows; however, the shadow felt no pain.

Rion once again appeared before it and kicked it to the right.

The attack struck before it could react, and the shadow was sent flying towards the cracked walls of pitch-black.

Rion stepped towards it and asked while looming over its head, "Why did you stand watching me transform? Are you stupid?"

The shadow chuckled. "Stupid, probably. But I needed to see how much of theirs you have, and I can say that I am surprised because all four of them exist within you... It's as if they had planned every part of this."

"Are you talking about The Monarch, The first Mother, The Judge, The second Mother?" Rion asked.

The shadow didn't answer. "It is no longer a time for words."

All of a sudden, the shadowy world shifted, and figures appeared out of it.

Due to his Zone being transformed into The Nexus Ring by Godflare, he immediately noticed those figures, and his eyes widened.

To say he wasn't surprised would be an understatement because these figures were something he had read about in his past life.

They were big and kind of lizard-like with a maw that breathed fire and enormous wings that soared through the sky.

All of the seven figures that had been brought from the shadows were unmistakably dragons.

The dragons' roar shook the world, and Rion instantly swung at the shadow.

As he was now much faster than the shadow, the strike landed with all brutality, and the left side of the shadow's shoulder exploded into black mucus.

Rion raised his left arm and clenched his fist.

The Nexus at the center brightened even further, its rings spun so fast they seemed to stay still, and seven golden rays shot towards the seven dragons.

The shadow sank into the dark world, and suddenly, walls erupted from the ground, turning the whole camp into a maze.

The rays crashed into the walls; they fell apart easily, and the rays continued towards the dragons, which had dark, burning orbs in their maw.
