Because one of his eyes was already covered with a bandage.

Looking at the situation around, Alka shook his head.

"We are not here to deliver messages, we are here to defend against the demons on the frontline."

Hearing these words, the seriously injured soldier nodded, as if it was a common occurrence.

"Over there, do you see that big tent? Everyone coming to support the holy war can check in there."

With that, he ran off.

All around were bustling soldiers, and even though Alka and his group had arrived through the Teleportation Gate, no one paid them any attention, as everyone was extremely busy.

Of course, passing through a Teleportation Gate is clearly not a rare occurrence here.

Incessantly, various injured were being carried on unknown stretcher machines, maneuvering around them.

"So, Return City has directly become a frontline fortress?" Simon said.

The surrounding scene was unmistakable, as they had already seen the Vastva people.

"Boom!"

A loud explosion sounded beside their ears.

The crowd couldn't help but look over.

In the distance, towering flames rose and struck the city walls, seemingly repelled by something, yet still producing a powerful explosion sound, with massive smoke and flames ascending into the sky.

Interestingly enough, however.

Among the busy soldiers nearby, only a few who seemed newly arrived turned their heads out of curiosity. The rest remained occupied with their tasks.

Clearly, such events had become the norm.

"Let's head to the tent first."

Though they evidently didn't need to go there, they could first get some information or find someone to make arrangements.

After all, they knew nothing about this place.

Soon, the group maneuvered through the crowd and reached the tent.

Here, many people were lining up.

Alka noticed.

The reinforcements seemed divided into two types.

One was individuals who came on their own, and the other was forces gathered by certain powers.

Those gathered forces were directly sent to the frontline, clearly pre-assigned. The supporting individuals, on the other hand, would be assigned based on their varying strength and the current situation.

This massive tent stretched for a kilometer.

Yet as soon as Alka and the others stepped inside, they seemed to be recognized.

A priest dressed in Church robes approached.

The white robe on him had long turned jet black, stained with some blood, clearly having no time for replacement or cleaning.

"Is it Lord Alka? Didn't expect you to come so soon, please wait a moment."

He said, guiding Alka and his group to sit on the side, and then hurriedly walked away.

Presumably, he went to call someone able to make arrangements for Alka and the others.

Alka's group sat in a corner of the tent, waiting.

"Speaking of which, I have a question," Juanlu asked.

"Alka, aren't you going to pursue your Ascension to Divinity?"

Pororo glanced at Alka and suddenly interjected, "By stealing?"

"Tsk."

Alka smacked his lips.

"Damn it, I've said I'm not a thief. But for now, I don't need to pursue it. I need a moment, enough for me to ascend in an instant."

Upon hearing this, the group realized Alka possibly had his plans and refrained from further inquiries.

After all, they didn't understand what the Ascension to Divinity entailed, nor did they have the qualifications to offer any useful advice.

Moreover, those who could offer advice were now too preoccupied with their paths to ascension, busy beyond measure.

And given that Alka's capability was akin to thievery, they didn't quite understand how an ascension could occur — by stealing something perhaps? Something significant?

Best not to ask blindly.

They didn't have to wait long.

A figure abruptly crashed into the tent.

As he entered, the scent of blood and the sulfur stench clinging to him wafted in.

Bearing the bloody scent left from battles, it was apparent he had just retreated from the frontline without adapting to the change.

Seeing the newcomer, Alka smiled, recognizing him as their acquaintance.

Without disdain for the grime on him, he embraced him briefly.

"Grefar, long time no see."

The middle-aged general before them maintained a serious expression. However, upon seeing Alka and the others, he forced a smile through his usual solemness.

Though perhaps it was best not to smile.

"Indeed, it's been a long time, I have heard of your success, though I didn't expect you to reach the frontline so swiftly.

Why not rest a bit longer before coming?"

Grefar said. His demeanor had not changed from before, showcasing the powerful strength that had left scant traces on his face over the past ten years, although now he was covered in filth.

Blood, the sulfur scent, and cooled lava clung to his armor after solidifying.

He seemed like he had just emerged from a pile of demon corpses on the frontline.

Keep in mind, previously, someone like Grefar would only fight demons of the same caliber.

But now it was evidently different from before.

With strong individuals from all over the world arriving to support, Grefar naturally shifted from being in the topmost echelon to slightly behind, though still among the elite.

"Apologies for meeting you all in such a state."

"No need, it is the frontline after all."

"I kind of understand your purpose, but you should know your strength is formidable. It is unlikely you will be assigned together; you will be placed in different positions, as in the past, only this time it might be busier."

The group nodded, as they were already aware.

This wasn't the first time they were on the frontline against demons, let alone during even more severe circumstances than before.

"That's good, time waits for no one, every moment counts, I will arrange it for you right away."
