"You met Olelunis?"

The Holy Mother sat on a stone bench, quietly asking.

Beside her, Alka nodded slightly.

It seemed the Holy Mother was indeed very familiar with this God of Rebirth, perhaps as the God of Rebirth had said, they were siblings.

Thinking this, he heard the Holy Mother speaking.

"Olelunis, according to proper relations, should indeed be considered my younger brother.

He appeared from Mother’s body at the same time and place as I did."

Upon hearing this, Alka pondered briefly, considering these naturally born divines like the Holy Mother, surely their circumstances of birth were different from those born of flesh and blood.

After all, they emerged directly from the world’s body.

Their notion of birth might differ from what Alka was imagining.

But Alka didn’t ask further.

"It’s a pity, pride devoured him, so prideful that he couldn’t endure any form of his ego being crushed.

The Calamity of the Divines severely damaged his self-esteem, and from then on, we parted ways." The Holy Mother narrated calmly.

As though reminiscing the past.

The Calamity of the Divines, huh?

Upon reflection, yes indeed.

The exalted divines, one by one, felled by the world to become mortals.

Bereft of the privilege of being born divine, how could such proud beings tolerate it?

Perhaps Mother’s intention was for those earliest born upon him to understand their relationship with mortals.

Perhaps some truly realized and learned.

As with the Holy Mother.

Yet probably many merely feigned understanding, burying such humiliation deep within.

After all, these divines are akin to mortals in some aspects.

They are beings with emotions too.

Only born powerful.

Listening to the Holy Mother’s words, Alka’s mind wandered.

"The gods have returned." The Holy Mother suddenly said.

Hearing this, Alka interrupted his train of thought, refocused his attention, and looked at the Holy Mother.

He pondered and said: "Have they come to destroy this hard-won, reassembled world?"

The Holy Mother unreservedly nodded: "Indeed, this time they are here to utterly destroy this world."

Upon hearing this, Alka couldn’t help but ask: "If they could once destroy the world, doesn’t that mean they could have utterly destroyed it before, why didn’t they completely destroy it then?

Why wait all these years to resume the world’s destruction?"

It was a part Alka didn’t quite understand.

Though he didn’t expressly say so, he knew in the past struggle between the defenders and destroyers of the world, the destroyers won.

Meaning the Holy Mother’s side lost.

The current state of the world and the records within the Great Library clearly documented this.

Such was indeed the reality.

The side that destroyed the world won, blasting it into ruin.

Logically, if they feared the world’s recovery, they should’ve pulverized the fragments into dust.

Or returned once the world was reassembled to destroy it again.

Not wait till now to return.

It’s quite peculiar.

He couldn’t understand.

Upon hearing Alka’s questions, the Holy Mother looked at him and suddenly smiled saying.

"Since you wish to know, then come with me."

As she spoke, the Holy Mother rose.

Alka stood up, hurriedly following behind her.

However, as he rose, the surrounding world transformed.

He was no longer standing on the manor floor, but suddenly appeared in a region reminiscent of the starry cosmos.

This was the Star Realm.

Alka looked downward, towards the boundless expanse within sight.

It was an oceanic world, shaped like the legendary circular heaven and rectangular earth.

Alka didn’t fully comprehend, yet the place felt familiar; he recognized it instantly as the Endless Sea he observed while rewinding time.

The Holy Mother and Meniyex stood beside him then.

Together atop the Star Realm.

The Holy Mother pointed to the Endless Sea below.

"This is our world, but it wasn’t always like this."

As she spoke, the Holy Mother waved her hand.

A mirage-like transformation occurred, revealing a beautiful, radiant world.

A world crystalline, a spherical entity encased in a hard outer shell resembling a crystalline membrane.

Through this membrane, one could see the true core within.

A beautiful world.

Larger by countless times than the Endless Sea.

Seemingly boundless, with no visible edges, myriad life thrived upon it.

Mighty life forms, dazzling civilizations developing above.

Without the Holy Mother’s introduction Alka could sense it.

Indeed.

This was the world of the past.

World of the Golden Era.

"Back then, our world was renowned across the Star Realm, among the countless worlds it was one of the most formidable."

Without being one of the strongest worlds, it couldn’t have birthed beings like the Holy Mother, supreme amongst the Star Realm.

Not just one or two.

Of those Alka currently knew of.

There were the Holy Mother, the Sea God, the betraying God of War.

If there were others, Alka was unsure.

"When the world was shattered into fragments, we who defended the world lost, but we were unwilling to accept."
