Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer
Chapter 1324 - 523: Black Steel Island (Part 2)
"And this concept comes from my Divine One."
"You should know that above the Sixth Stage, also known as the Demigod Stage, one needs to spread their renown, right?"
Alka nodded his head; this he did indeed know, after all, their renown had also spread far and wide.
"The principle is similar. The Endless Sea itself is a broken and fragile world. A powerful being at the Sixth Stage, uses themselves as the origin, extending invisible chains to link with those who have heard of your renown, who feel admiration, veneration, or even respect towards you."
"These emotions allow you to link with them or even hold onto them so that in case of unexpected situations, they will not be pulled out of the world."
This principle Alka also understood, and he nodded once more.
Even if not linked, normally, there wouldn’t be any major issues. But overall, linking is generally beneficial for the whole group of beings, helping to stabilize their issues.
For instance, it reduces the chances of soul and flesh separation, falling into the Dream Realm, or being spiritually invaded by extraterrestrial beings.
Simply put, it’s a protective barrier formed by their strength on the abstract level of human spirit.
"And Landmark Island and the islands it links with are similar, using Landmark Island as the origin to connect with the surrounding islands, and then stabilizing a large area centered around Landmark Island.
After all, the entire world is pieced together, making it fragile. Landmark Island’s existence is like a chain in the patchwork, holding the surrounding fragments together."
"According to such a system, Landmark Island won’t move; the linked islands are like being tugged by chains—in motion, they might drift away, but they’ll be pulled back.
If Landmark Island were to move, then its origin attribute would be problematic. The entire sea region, stabilized by its linkage, would fall into chaos.
Like a sewn wound, if one thread breaks, issues inevitably arise."
He briefly explained.
Alka and the others nodded in understanding.
"May I ask, to what extent will the chaos reach?" Simon looked over and asked.
Safleff nodded and directly answered, "Chaos to the extent of a World Scar; if the Abyss is willing to spend some power, it can even open another entrance to the Abyss here."
"But this requires a process, so generally it won’t become that serious, but it does lay a potential opportunity and a lead."
"It’s fragile here, like there’s no barrier or order, only chaos remains, and time and space will experience some disturbance."
Upon hearing this, everyone gained a tangible concept in their mind.
Alka couldn’t help but associate the problems here with Demons.
After all, the timing of the issues was too coincidental.
It’s hard not to consider whether these issues were caused by Demons, as it would make it easier for them to invade the world, potentially opening a second battlefield.
For Demons, the obstacle is the narrowness of the entrance, not a shortage of numbers.
If the entrance were larger or more numerous, this world would have been riddled with holes long ago.
As for whether the people of the Endless Sea have the strength to guard a second battlefield, that’s a different matter.
But no matter how you look at it, the advantage of Demons will greatly increase.
"So, could this issue really have nothing to do with Demons?" Jason couldn’t help but ask.
The timing was just too coincidental; a little thought makes it seem like all signs point to Demons.
No need for much doubt, as they stand to gain the most.
Yet, Safleff shook his head instead.
"At least from the current situation, although the Demons stand to gain a lot, there’s no evidence that the issue was caused by Demons."
"Since the intelligence from the Endless Sea was sent out, all the Landmark Islands have strengthened their defenses against Abyssal influence and anything related to Demons."
"We’ve also analyzed the flesh and aura of those cultists, and the Evil God they worship is not closely related to Demons."
"If there must be a connection to Demons, it’s likely a transaction between this Evil God and Demons, which is more plausible.
But at least the Demons haven’t directly participated."
The group then exchanged a few more words.
The speaker opposite Anres pondered and said, "To solve the problem here, we must identify the problem. Which island is most suitable for investigation?"
"We need to see for ourselves, to understand how these flesh issues are structured, to find a solution."
Safleff nodded, as he’d already prepared, and brought out a linkage map.
He pointed to one, marked on the origin of the line, and said.
"Black Steel Island. This island has been seized by flesh and is relatively close. The issues on the island are severe, but not overly dangerous, at least not dangerous to everyone present.
It is quite suitable for those present to investigate and find problems, and the Holy Machine Church also has an investigation team there."
Upon hearing this, Anres nodded.
"Then we’ll head there and set sail immediately."
Upon hearing this, Alka turned to look at everyone around him, and they all nodded, roughly understanding Alka’s meaning.
"Then we should take a look as well."
To this, Safleff had no objections and nodded.
