<...I can take everything? (1)>

Clopeh from Cale’s side and Terrosa from the Demon King’s side…

‘Why is this so entertaining?’

Cale was watching the two of their standoff with interest.

The way they were silently looking at each other…

Their gazes were extremely vicious.

But their faces had small smiles or looked very at peace.

‘Wow.

Seeing two crazy bastards together is interesting.

I want to get some apple pie, no, some popcorn as I watch.

‘Mm.’

However…

‘Isn’t this silence too long?’

The two of them were silently staring for a long time.

Cale thought in the silence.

‘Maybe crazy bastards can communicate through their gazes?

Didn’t they look similarly crazy?

Nah. No way.

They both probably have a lot to think about.’

That was the thought on Cale’s mind.

However, his thoughts were incorrect.

“Hoo hoo.”

Terrosa, who had a peaceful look on her face, opened her mouth.

“What a funny person.”

Her gaze changed.

“I see no loyalty in your eyes when you mention the Demon King-nim.”

Clopeh talking about the Demon King…

He showed no respect or loyalty to the Demon King.

‘Similar to young master Simon.’

She thought young master Simon was extremely disrespectful.

He was someone trying to swallow up the land that the Demon King-nim wanted.

He also did not have any respect or loyalty to the Demon King-nim.

“But you still seem trustworthy.”

Yes.

She still believed in this man named Kaseh despite his feelings toward the Demon King.

The reason was simple.

“You seem to have faith in me.”

Smile.

Clopeh’s small smile became bigger.

‘As expected, she’s not an easy opponent.’

Although she was extremely weak physically, she was known to be extremely smart as the valedictorian of the Demon World’s Imperial Academy with the highest grades in its history.

Most importantly, her intuition was so good that it was almost chilling.

“Yes ma’am. I have faith in you, Terrosa.”

Clopeh continued in a more relaxed voice.

“To you, the Demon King-nim is a legend, a path of one.”

Yes. ‘To me, Cale Henituse-nim is a path of one.’

“And you have given your life for that path, are giving your life, and will continue to give your life.”

‘I can tell that my conviction and my life is not wrong. I can get confirmation of that through Cale-nim’s path.

That is why I am staking my life on it.’

“I have faith in your life that you have put on the line.”

Terrosa became swept up in an odd emotion as she listened to Clopeh.

She was brilliant.

‘Are you crazy?’

That was why she was well-aware of the reactions people had toward her.

How could she not know?

‘Hey. You’re a bit much. We are simply subordinates and the Demon King-nim is the liege. All we have to do is follow our lord’s orders.’

Her loyalty toward the Demon King-nim…

Faith.

She already knew that others considered her faith toward the Demon King as something like a crazed believer.

‘You’re doing all sorts of shit to catch his attention.’

Some called her crazy while some claimed she was doing everything she could to succeed while being a commoner.

Terrosa knew about all of these comments and the meaning behind them.

She knew how she looked to others.

‘Terrosa. I am bored of this world.’

But the Demon King-nim truly-

‘I wish to create a world that is not boring.’

Was the only one deserving to become the Demon God.

After seeing the desires behind the bored eyes of the Demon King, Terrosa had decided to give her life for him.

So she did not care about what people around her had to say.

‘So how-’

How could this foreigner in front of her-

‘How are you giving me a gaze that seems to be saying you understand my feelings very well?’

Terrosa had sensed honesty in Clopeh’s words and gaze.

That was why she responded.

“You also have something you’ve given your life for despite the gazes around you.”

Clopeh just smiled.

“Ha!”

Terrosa subconsciously laughed.

The disappearance of Count Ruiphe…

She knew that he had died and turned into an NPC in New World.

She was a close confidant of the Demon King after all.

That was why she was anxious because of the delay in finding Count Ruiphe’s proof of ownership of the merchant guild and becoming the territory lord.

She could not let herself be the reason the Demon King-nim’s great vision crumbles.

But this foreigner that suddenly appeared in front of her was making her feel relaxed for the first time in a long while.

“You are a funny person.”

Clopeh just continued to smile again.

An unexplainable sense of kinship swept over Terrosa.

But her face soon turned back to normal.

“I’ll believe this birth certificate if the mana in there is proven to be Count Ruiphe’s.”

She quickly made a decision as she had a lot to do.

No, she would end up with a lot to do because of this decision. But that did not seem like a bad thing.

“I’ll help you purchase young master Simon’s mine. In return…”

In return…

“I hope you can make it so that young master Simon cannot come out as a candidate.”

She looked back at Clopeh.

“I also want a written statement guaranteeing that you will not come up as a candidate either.”

Terrosa did not trust Clopeh.

Her only faith was in the Demon King-nim.

She needed to be wary of everything and consider everything before making a move.

Only her lord’s will should remain for his future days.

“Yes ma’am. I will do so.”

Terrosa did not put her guard down despite Clopeh answering so easily.

She got up, looked at Clopeh and his brother, whose name she did not remember, as she continued to speak.

“Fastest would be great, right?”

“I have no issues meeting with young master Simon right away.”

“That sounds great.”

Terrosa stepped out of the room and spoke to her subordinate waiting outside.

“Please prepare somewhere for these guests to rest for a bit and then come to me. We have urgent matters to attend to.”

“Ah, excuse me.”

Clopeh suddenly interjected.

“We have more younger siblings so we need to go get them.”

“Ah. Then please come to the main castle with your siblings. I will set things up so you can come to me immediately.”

She then became silent for a moment before asking.

“They aren’t blood related?”

Clopeh smiled after seeing the gaze directed at him and Cale.

“We are a family connected by faith thicker than blood.”

Terrosa nodded her head.

They were not blood-related.

This man, Kaseh, was the only one who was related to Count Ruiphe.

That was all she had to remember.

“Then I will see you later.”

Terrosa left the area first.

Click. Click.

Her face stiffened instantly as she walked away.

‘Young master Simon’s mine?’

“Pfft.”

That guy came here aiming for that, but…

That was probably not his true goal.

‘Count Ruiphe’s secret safe.

He probably wants that.

Only then will he become the master of the greatest merchant guild in the Demon World.’

That bastard clearly said that he wanted money. He would not be satisfied with just a mine.

‘You can tell that he’s a crazy bastard.’

Terrosa was planning on using this guy to find the secret safe as well.

‘Use that guy to take down Simon and Count Ruiphe’s family while also gaining the secret safe.’

She would then become the territory lord and provide the Demon King-nim with as much materialistic support as he needed.

a smile formed on Terrosa’s face.

‘The things that have been stalled will progress a bit.’

She gave an order to the knight who had been waiting outside the room and had followed her.

“Go bring Maul-nim over.”

“Do you mean the leader of the Third Regiment?”

“Yeah. We’ll have him guard those two from earlier.”

The Eight Regiments of the Demon King.

One of their Commanders, Viscount Deshuran, was currently missing.

In addition, the Commander of the Third Regiment was currently here.

He was originally scheduled to leave soon, but…

‘He’s always slaking off so I may as well put him to work.’

The leader of the Third Regiment was slacking off on his own while leaving his troops behind, so shouldn’t she at least make him do his part?

‘He’ll enjoy it.’

He was an odd one so he would enjoy being the guard to two regular people.

‘He’s smart so I’m sure he will take care of things properly.’

It was a secret that the Third Regiment was here.

As long as she could hide their identities, she should be able to have them hide within the core of young master Simon and the Ruiphe family.

‘Good.’

Terrosa welcomed this sudden variable.

And…

“Human, are we packing up and heading to the ancient castle right away?”

Cale returned and put his few belongings into a spatial pocket bag as he nodded his head.

“Yeah. Clopeh did a very good job.”

Raon peeked at Clopeh after hearing that.

Flinch.

Clopeh flinched before being unable to hide a smile on his face.

Cale did not see the smile and was just packing but Raon said something.

“Then what should I do?”

Cale opened his mouth to speak.

But Clopeh answered first.

“Terrosa will probably put someone with us to keep an eye on us, so I think it would be best if you went invisible and followed us, Raon-nim.”

Cale closed his mouth.

‘It’s nice having someone else talk for me.

Clopeh, this punk…

He makes things so easy.’

“Then I’m curious to know if we are just going to follow you, nya!”

Clopeh gently smiled after hearing Hong’s question.

“On and Hong can just come with us. You are our fourth and fifth.”

Hong tilted his head.

“If my sister is fourth and I am fifth, I’m curious to know who is the third, nya!”

“Sui Khan-nim.”

“Hmm?”

Sui Khan, who had been slumping away on the side, looked confused.

“I’m the third?”

“Hey Sui Khan, I’ll dye your hair my color too!”

Raon became excited and came over before quickly turning Sui Khan’s white hair into black.

Blood was still flowing out of the bandages on his arm but it was now slower thanks to using potions and medicines.

Cale peeked at this and opened his mouth but Clopeh was faster.

“Yes sir. You need to move with us.”

“No, that’s not the issue. I’m the third?”

“Then do you want to be the youngest?”

Clopeh looked confused while Sui Khan could not say anything.

“Pfft.”

Cale chuckled and looked down at Sui Khan.

Sui Khan’s mouth opened and he tried to say something before clenching his eyes shut.

“This……”

His sigh did not reach anyone.

Cale opened his mouth to speak.

“We’ll leave it to Clopeh to deal with the members of the Demonic race so all we have to do is keep our mouths closed, and cover ourselves so that our identities are not revealed.”

Cale asked Clopeh.

“You can handle Terrosa and the Demon King’s people, right?”

“Yes, Cale-nim. Just leave it to me.”

Clopeh had handled Terrosa more skillfully than Cale had expected.

‘I guess crazy people understand each other.’

As Cale had that thought…

“Hoo hoo.”

Clopeh chuckled quietly before mumbling in a low voice.

“Terrosa was still inexperienced. I had overestimated her abilities.”

“Hmm?”

Cale asked in confusion while Clopeh answered as if it wasn’t a big deal.

“She was just lighter than I had expected.”

Clopeh did not say anything else.

Cale wanted to know what he meant by she was lighter, but he did not ask.

‘I feel like no good answers will come from asking.’

Clopeh Sekka. It was better not to have long conversations with this bastard.

Cale used his experience until now as the foundation to just ignore Clopeh.

Clopeh, who had been packing in a way to ensure that Cale’s trip was relaxing, thought about Terrosa.

‘Her faith is light.’

She claims to walk her life for the Demon King, but…

‘It’s lacking.’

It was lacking compared to Clopeh’s standards.

‘She’s wary of other people’s opinions.’

He could feel that she was being swayed by the judgment and gazes of others.

That was why she should have felt solace and consolation from Clopeh’s words.

‘How laughable.’

Someone who had full faith in their path would never be shaken like that.

Clopeh’s gaze moved toward Cale who was looking at Sui Khan’s bandages.

‘Cale-nim-’

Clopeh was aware of other people’s gazes until now as he stood by Cale’s side.

He also knew that they treated him as a crazy bastard.

But he paid all of that no attention.

‘All I can see is the gazes directed toward Cale-nim.’

Cale had gone through many worlds.

There were numerous people who showed awe and respect toward Cale.

‘I am someone who can stand by someone like that and walk with him.’

Clopeh could not hide the excitement in his heart.

“Haaaaaaaaaa-”

He let out a deep sigh to barely manage to suppress those feelings. He then thought to himself.

‘The secret safe.

Terrosa will think I have that and put someone to keep an eye on us.

It would be very useful to use that to our advantage too.

I may be able to bring the safe to Cale-nim.’

“Hoo hoo-”

The instant he subconsciously laughed…

‘Hmm?’

He ended up making eye contact with On.

He made eye contact with Hong next to her as well. Then there was Raon as well.

The children averaging ten-years-old were looking at him.

“…….”

Clopeh quickly calmed himself while On let out a quiet sigh.

* * *

The head of the New Business Department you met earlier will go with you. And here are two of my subordinates who will be guarding you from any potential dangers.”

She had placed two of her people as guards.

One was a serious looking middle-aged man while the other was a youngster who seemed to be in his late twenties.

“Nice to meet you.”

“Nice to meet you!”

Cale quietly stood next to Clopeh while observing the serious knight’s calm greeting and the young knight’s excited greeting. The blonde-haired knight in a knight’s formal attire smiled like a really nice person.

Raon, who was invisible and a bit away from them, talked to Cale at that moment.

– Human, that knight looks strong!

Raon was talking about the young knight.

And…

– Sniff sniff.

The Sound of the Wind suddenly reacted.

– This is weird. Why do I smell a divine item I have never smelled before on that knight?

Cale came to a conclusion based on Raon and the Sound of the Wind.

‘There’s no way a regular newbie guard knight would be holding a divine item.’

He didn’t know who this young knight was, but he was strong. It was highly likely he held a high position as well.

He was someone who just nonchalantly carried a divine item, something that even Terrosa did not have.

But this knight-

“Then please get on the carriage! I will guide the horses! Please take good care of me! Hehe!”

The way he laughed seemed like he was a bit stupid.

He looked extremely foolish.

– Human, that knight is laughing like he’s about to scam somebody!

‘That does seem to be the case.’

A different warning form when he first met crown prince Alberu Crossman knocked against Cale’s intuition.

‘Unlike his highness, this guy just smells like a damn scammer!’

Cale’s expression changed.

He subconsciously answered.

“Please take good care of me as well! Haha!”

– Human, why are you also smiling like you are about to scam someone?

‘Oops.

I subconsciously reacted.’

The young knight who received that greeting smiled nicely or maybe even foolishly as he thought to himself.

‘This guy is so clueless unlike how he looks. Should I use him to dig some info?’

The Eight Regiments of the Demon King.

Maul, who was called the ‘hand behind the back,’ smiled even bigger.

The hand behind the back.

He had received this nickname because he was so good at smacking people in the back. Maul liked this title very much and would always openly introduce himself with it.

“Hahaha!”

“Haha!”

Cale and Maul…

They looked at each other and laughed.

Clack clack.

The carriage Cale was on headed toward the ancient capital where young master Simon resided.

That ancient castle was also where the Pope of the Church of the God of Chaos was staying.

* * *

The Pope felt confused while looking at young master Simon, who urgently opened the door.

Young master Simon spoke with urgency.

“Apparently Terrosa is going to send a merchant who will buy my mine! That person is clearly her subordinate, what should we do?”

Simon could not hide his frustration.

“I’ve already been having enough issues hiding the knights of the church because of their sudden arrival. There’s a limit to hiding them! The territory lord position, the grand vision is so near, but fuck! Why would Terrosa do something risky like this……?!”

The Pope smiled at young master Simon as he answered.

“You are saying that the Demon King’s side suddenly sent someone here?”

“Yes!”

An odd smile formed on the Pope’s mouth.

* * *

While that was going on, two people looked down from a pretty high mountain.

“You think Choi Jung Soo went over there?”

“Yeah. I think so.”

Choi Han held the mark left by Choi Jung Soo as he looked at the ancient castle down far south.

The Heavenly Demon was also looking at the ancient castle as he spoke.

“Do we need to infiltrate that place?”

“I think the Church of the God of Chaos has made that their base so we shouldn’t just infiltrate it.”

“Mm. Do we need disguises?”

Disguises.

Choi Han listened to the Heavenly Demon’s suggestions as he looked at the map.

“Diorelle.”

“Hmm?”

The city below this ancient castle is Diorelle. I think it used to belong to Count Ruiphe.”

Choi Han sighed and made up his mind.

“Let’s stealthily infiltrate the ancient castle first. It should be possible, right?”

“That much is nothing.”

The Heavenly Demon and Choi Han quickly headed south.

They were headed toward young master Simon’s ancient castle.
