Chapter 103: THE TOP SECRET!!

VIVIAN

Beeny tilted her tiny head.

"Oh? He’s actually smart enough to recognize me."

Her little wings came out beating faster as she turned into a bee ready to attack Eric’s beast core.

"Wonderful. That means he should understand what happens when someone discovers a secret they shouldn’t know."

She paused. "His life ends here."

Vivian’s expression changed.

"Beeny."

The little bee turned toward her.

"Yes, Master?"

"Don’t."

Beeny drooped slightly.

"But..."

"I said don’t."

Vivian’s voice was cold. Beeny reluctantly flew back toward her shoulder.

"Fine. But I want it recorded that I offered to solve the problem."

Vivian didn’t respond. Her gaze remained fixed on Eric.

He had discovered Beeny’s identity.

And judging from the greed shining in his eyes, he was already imagining the benefits of taking her away.

Eric licked the blood from his lips.

"Vivian... I never expected you to possess something like this."

His earlier arrogance had disappeared.

In its place was a calculating expression.

"A Zerg Bee that can take a human form is an extremely valuable creature. No wonder you’ve suddenly become so confident."

He took a cautious step backward.

"Tell me, how did you obtain it? Did you steal it from someone? Or did you discover it somewhere in Ignora?"

Vivian said nothing.

Eric’s gaze grew increasingly feverish.

"If Grandfather knew you possessed a Zerg, he would certainly welcome you back into the family. You should have told me earlier!"

He laughed awkwardly.

"Come to think of it, perhaps I was too harsh with my words. We’re family, after all. Whatever you possess belongs to the Astronova family, doesn’t it?"

Something inside Vivian snapped.

The Lotus in her consciousness stirred.

A dangerous warmth spread through her body.

Family?

These people had humiliated her, abandoned her, and treated her like a worthless object.

Now that Eric had discovered something valuable, he suddenly remembered they were family?

Vivian’s eyes turned cold...."Beeny."

"Yes, Master?"

"Get out of the way."

Beeny immediately flew aside.

The next instant, a radiant golden light burst from Vivian’s body.

Her gigantic Lotus root shot out of the hands.

Eric barely had time to react before the root swept toward him.

His expression changed.

"WHAT....is this....?!"

He hastily reached for a potion strapped to his waist and pressed its surface. He drank it instantly to increase his combat power. It is a Contraband potion sold in Haxia which taking for a long time can affect the Male reproductive system. But seeing Vivian power made him scared, he has to survive at all cost.

A brilliant red light enveloped his body.

ROOOAR! A fiery Phoenix emerged from the light, its enormous wings spreading across the clearing.

Flames erupted from its feathers.

The surrounding temperature rose sharply.

Eric had transformed into his Red Fire Phoenix beast form!

He let out a piercing cry. Then he opened his beak.

A torrent of blazing fire shot toward Vivian.

BOOOOM!The flames swallowed the clearing.

Trees caught fire. Bushes burned. The air became unbearably hot.

Vivian’s Lotus rose to protect her, its broad leaves shielding her body from the scorching flames.

But the fire was stronger than she expected.

Several leaves blackened. One of the Lotus’s roots burned away at the tip.

Vivian’s expression changed.

The Lotus was part of her power.

And this bastard had dared to burn it!

"YOU’RE DEAD!"

The moment the words left her mouth, the Lotus trembled violently.

Then.. BOOM! Three enormous roots erupted from the hands. The spikes on her lotus became sharper..

Eric’s eyes widened. Before he could take flight, the first root wrapped around one of his wings.

The second seized his legs.

The third coiled tightly around his neck.The Spikes was just a second close to cutting his chicken neck off.

"WHAT?!"

He flapped his wings desperately, sending waves of fire in every direction.

But the Lotus roots tightened.

With a violent pull, Vivian dragged the enormous Phoenix out of the air.

CRASH! Eric slammed into the ground.

The impact shattered the earth beneath him.

Before he could struggle free, the Lotus roots lifted him again and pulled him toward Vivian.

His neck was trapped. His wings were pinned.

His flames flickered helplessly against the Lotus’s golden light.

Vivian stood before him, her eyes blazing with fury.

"Didn’t you just call me a useless Zero...Class nobody?"

The Lotus tightened around his neck.

Eric’s enormous Phoenix body began to shrink.

His feathers disappeared beneath the golden light, and his fiery wings vanished.

Within seconds, he returned to his human form.

The roots still held him firmly.

His face turned red.

His eyes bulged.

"Please..."

His voice came out as a strained whisper. "Vivian... let me go..."

Vivian tilted her head. "Why should I? I am enjoying this game and I want to continue it." She smiled sweetly. "I want to watch you struggle to live. Didn’t you stand by watching me trying to drown? You loved it right? It was fun!!"

Eric was scared, his teeth chattering from cold sweat. Is she enjoying this? Is Vivian really a psycho like they said? I thought her madness ended when she was 5? Is she really okay Mentally?

The Lotus tightened another fraction.

Eric choked.

"Didn’t you say I was useless to the Astronova family? That I had no rank, no influence, and no ability worth mentioning?"

She crouched before him.

"Now tell me, Eric. If I’m such a useless person, why does your family desperately want me back?"

His lips trembled. Vivian smiled coldly.

"And why did Elena send people to drag me away when I had already left the family?"

Eric remained silent.bHe couldn’t answer.

Vivian’s smile disappeared.

"Speak!"

He flinched. Beeny suddenly raised her tiny wing. "Master, can I take over his body?"

Vivian glanced at her, her eyes filled with rage.

Beeny’s little eyes sparkled. "A..actually..., no. I don’t want this one anymore. I want a pretty male, not a chicken bird."

Even in the middle of the tense situation, Vivian almost laughed.

Eric, however, looked as though he might faint.

He raised his hand desperately, signaling that he wanted to speak.

Vivian loosened the root around his neck just enough for him to breathe.

"Talk."

Eric coughed violently. "Elena..."

Vivian’s expression sharpened.

"What about Elena?"

"She’s sick!"

Vivian stared at him.

Eric swallowed painfully. "She needs your blood. That’s why the family wants you back!"

The clearing fell silent. Even Beeny stopped buzzing.

Vivian’s eyes narrowed.

"My blood? Why? Is she a vampire?""

Eric nodded frantically. "Yes!...No!!"

"Why?" Her voice was dangerously quiet. "And what exactly is my blood supposed to do for her?"

Eric opened his mouth. Then closed it.

His gaze shifted uneasily.

"Um..."

Vivian’s eyes blazed.

"UM WHAT?!"

He trembled.

"I... I don’t know all the details..."

The Lotus root tightened around his neck. "Then tell me what you know!"

Eric gasped.

"Because... because when you were three years old..."

He squeezed his eyes shut. "Your beast core was removed."

Vivian froze. For one brief moment, she couldn’t understand what he had said.

Removed?

Her beast core?

Eric’s next words struck her like a thunderbolt.

"It was given to Elena!"

Vivian staggered backward. The Lotus roots trembled.

Her legs shook so violently that she nearly fell.

For years, the Astronova family had treated her as a useless girl who couldn’t awaken.

They had called her worthless.

They had humiliated her for being a Zero-Class nobody.

And all this time... Her beast core to help her awaken had been inside Elena? How? It was never in the Book? Is this a hidden plot?

Vivian’s face turned deathly pale.

"No..."

The word escaped her lips.

Her fingers trembled.

"You’re lying."

But Eric didn’t answer. He only stared at her in terror. He was scared he had just released the family Top secret.!!!

And for the first time since Vivian had met him, he looked as though he understood just how dangerous the girl he had spent years humiliating could become.

Because Vivian was no longer looking at him with anger. She was looking at him with rage and she was eager to see blood flowing like water..
