ELENA

She paused. "BUT. ..Vivian might get hurt."

Emelianna’s expression changed at once. "That is precisely why we shouldn’t involve them."

Elena lowered her eyes. For a moment, she said nothing.

Then she whispered, "You’re right."

Emelianna blinked.

She had expected another argument.

Elena gave a sad smile. "I shouldn’t have suggested it. Vivian may have done terrible things, but she’s still your daughter. I know you don’t want anything bad to happen to her."

She sniffed quietly.

"I just... I suppose I’m tired of being the one who always has to endure everything. Anywhere I am.people.are always talking about my sister seducing men. She is ruining our family reputation and mine..But she is still.part of Astronova.."

Emelianna’s expression softened. "ELENA....."

"It’s fine, Mother."

Elena shook her head.

"I’ll forget about it. I won’t tell anyone about Vivian and Vega. I won’t complain about what happened today, either. And also about Caelan ... .I will be a good younger sister..afterall....Vivian gives me.her blood."

She forced herself to smile.

"If Vivian is happy living with Sentinel Vega, shouldn’t I be happy for her?"

Her voice broke on the last word.

Emelianna’s face darkened again.

She couldn’t bear seeing Elena suffer.

Not when Elena had always been the obedient daughter who brought honor to the Astronova family.

And not when Vivian, the daughter who had abandoned their name, continued causing trouble.

"Listen to me," Emelianna said firmly. "You don’t need to suffer in silence. But we will not deliberately put Vivian in danger. Do you understand?"

Elena nodded. "Yes, Mother."

She looked obedient.

She even managed to smile.

But inside, she was seething.

You still want to protect her.

Even after everything she’s done.

Fine. Even when she doesn’t respect your Title of a princess. An ungrateful.daughter.!!

Elena had no intention of directly approaching the Federicks. Not yet.

She would not risk being traced back to the report, nor would she give her mother a reason to suspect her.

There were other ways.

A careless servant could overhear a conversation. An anonymous message could reach the right person. A rumor could spread through the social circles of Haxia without anyone knowing where it began.

And if the Federick family’s eldest daughter confronted Vivian on her own, Elena could truthfully claim she had done nothing.

She only needed to plant the seed.

Someone else would water it.

"Mother," Elena said suddenly, her expression turning worried again, "there’s just one thing I want to ask."

"What is it?"

"If the Federicks really do discover Vivian’s relationship with Vega and come after her... you won’t blame me for what happens, will you?"

Emelianna stared at her. "Why would you ask such a question?"

Elena quickly shook her head.

"No reason. I’m just afraid that, one day, Vivian will come home crying and accuse me of ruining her life again. Like she does everywhere. She said our family.Maltreated her."

She gave a small, helpless smile.

"I don’t want to lose you because of another misunderstanding between us."

Emelianna sighed. "You are sisters. Whatever happens, you must remember that..." she heaves a sigh of relief. "Don’t worry ELENA VIvian will come.back soon. Your health is important right now..Take care of yourself.".

"I will, Mother."

Elena lowered her head respectfully.

"Goodnight. Mother..I love you..."

The call ended.

The moment Emelianna’s hologram disappeared, Elena’s smile vanished.

She stared at the blank communicator.

Then she laughed softly.

"Whatever happens, we must remember that we’re sisters?"

Her eyes filled with contempt.

"How touching....Emelianna don’t ever forget Grandfather said she is my.shadow and I will always be the reason why she is alive."

She rose from the bed and walked toward the window.

Beyond the glass, the lights of the Astronova district glittered beneath the evening sky.

Vivian had Caelan’s attention.

Now she had Vega’s protection. And somehow, she had even managed to make Emelianna hesitate to act against her.

Elena’s nails dug into her palms.

"Enjoy it while you can, Vivian."

She picked up her communicator again and opened an encrypted messaging interface.

Her fingers hovered over the screen.

She didn’t send anything.

Not yet.

First, she needed to learn how serious Vega’s relationship with the Federick family’s eldest daughter really was.

Because there was a difference between creating a problem for Vivian and creating a problem that could destroy the Astronova family, too.

Elena had no intention of sacrificing herself.

If Vivian wanted to play with powerful men, then she could bear the consequences.

And if the Federicks decided to make Vivian pay for it?

Well...

Elena would be the first to offer her sister a comforting embrace.

After all, she hadn’t done anything. Not directly.

She called for Lydia.

Lydia bows. "My princess, any orders?"

She said, "Find out more about Lucien. He doesn’t seem to be a mere merchant..But don’t let Mother know.. ..if she finds out something huge about Lucien...she might give up using Vivian for me. ..She doesn’t seem trustworthy. .."

Lydia said in a low tone.. "But the princess always does anything you want."

ELENA sighs.."You don’t understand. She is still her flesh and blood. She might one day turn against me...."

Lydia keep.her head down..."....My Saintess..What about we use your cousin Eric. He is in Ignora. He has a blabber mouth.. Nothing can escape him."

Elena said. .."No ... .He is always competing with me for Grandfather’s favor. He is a good.right hand man. But his blabber mouth can be an issue..What if he spills.every secret...He will.do.anything to.save himself.."

Elena pulls off her clothes. Watching her body. She thought. "Which man in Haxia wouldn’t want a beauty like me. I don’t think any of them can ever resist my charm. I am who they will only dream of having. Who is Vega to reject me? If not for that crazy Federick daughter. I would.do anything to have such a powerful and young Sentinel.""
