Chapter 79 - Foosha Village
East Blue,
The reward for saving Rosinante and killing Vergo directly improved his constitution and devil fruit attributes by '1'. Blaize checked his status panel,
[~ Name: Blaize Hunt
Occupation: Marine
Constitution: 51.1
Devil Fruit Potential: 44.9
Haki: 35.0
Free attribute point: 6.8 ~]
He was satisfied with his attributes. Unlike anything, Blaize wants to raise his Haki points as he knew its importance better.
It doesn't matter how powerful his devil fruit is if his Haki isn't strong enough, he would be easily overwhelmed by his opponent who has powerful Haki.
Reaching his ship, Blaize introduced Rosinante to Regis and went to his cabin to freshen up and rest, as he hadn't slept properly for nearly a week.
--
Next day,
Blaize's marine ship was anchored near an uninhabited island. The Island is a medium-sized one with dense forest and small mountains with a lot of wild animals.
Blaize's powerful Haki kept the animals far away, none of them dared to approach anywhere near him.
Right now, he's is practicing the advanced form of Armament Haki; emission. Projecting the Haki burst from his body without a medium.
This method allows the Haki user to damage or repel their target without making direct contact or using brute force. But, this method is a lot harder to master than he thought.
It needs training and countless years of experience in using Haki. Thanks to the notes written by Old Man Magnus, he practiced without giving up even though he failed to master it.
Aside from practicing Armament Haki, he focused on Observation Haki too. With Rosinante's devil fruit ability, he was able to improve them further.
With no sound in the surroundings, he trained to sense other's presence and intent. It helped him in developing his observation haki to some extent.
Blaize also shared different ideas of how Rosinante can develop his devil fruit ability and incorporate them in a fight. It's a wonderful ability if utilized properly.
He then began to teach Haki to both Regis and Rosinante. He trained them the same way how he learned from Old man Magnus.
But, it was fruitless as they failed to sense the Spiritual energy even after days of practicing. As Magnus said, not everyone is suitable to learn this method.
Since they weren't able to feel the spiritual energy, Blaize then switched to a different method. To any beginner, sensing spiritual energy via Observation haki is simple.
Because it's easy to awaken an Observation Haki in a forced manner, unlike Armament Haki. So, Blaize trained their Observation Haki by blocking their vision.
--
Ten days passed,
Nothing changed. East Blue was calm as always, even sighting pirate is a rare thing.
Blaize told his unit to let the ship sail towards the Dawn island where Goa kingdom is located. It's around this time that Shanks comes to the Foosha village.
And, Blaize also wants to see Luffy, the future pirate king of the sea. There's also Makino and the mayor of the village, Woop slap.
His ship reached the Foosha village but Blaize doesn't want the others to know that he's a marine as it would affect his plan with Shanks.
So, the Marine ship was docked in the remote area of Dawn Island while Blaize traveled to Foosha village by foot.
The Foosha village is the same as he had seen in the series, resembling a typical rural community, with rustic wooden houses, docks, and a few windmills.
It is located to the east of the Goa Kingdom capital and is unknown to many but the entire town is filled with energetic and cheerful people.
Blaize sensed a lively environment around the village. Just as he walked into the village, he noticed a bar: Party's Bar!
A smile surfaced on his face seeing the bar. In the entire One Piece world, this place is a little special. Because in a way it's where the series starts!
As he was decked in ordinary clothes, no one noticed his presence. Blaize then casually strolled into the bar and looked around for a seat.
Since it was noon, the bar was half occupied and the smell of wine permeated the entire place. It was noisy as most of the customers are local residents.
Occupying a seat, Blaize waited. Within a minute of his arrival, Makino came to ask for an order.
Like in the series, Makino seemed very kind. Since it's only 1511, he looked young with brown eyes and dark green hair that goes up to just above her shoulders.
"Mister, I haven't seen you here before? Are you new to our village?" Makino asked with a smile.
The youngster before her looked the same age or even younger than her but his temperament is vastly different from anyone she had ever met.
He looked positive and trusting with a smile at the corner of his lips. And, the way that he looked at her was as if he was familiar with her. Why is that so?
"Yes, I will be around here for while!" Blaize replied.
"Ohh! What do you want to have? We have..." Makino listed the items available in the bar.
Ordering a bottle of wine and a meat dish, Blaize looked around. He didn't see Luffy's figure anywhere in the bar. 'So, he's not here, huh?'
After finishing the drink, Blaize left the bar after saying goodbye to Makino. "I will see you tomorrow, Lady Makino!"
As soon as he came out of the bar, he heard a voice. "Oi Luffy, don't run around. You are going to fall!"
A little figure ran towards the bar while an old figure chased after him. It was child Luffy and the Mayor of the village, Woop Slap.
Without minding his presence, Luffy got past him and entered the bar while the Mayor noticed his figure. "You are?"
"My name's Blaize. I am new to this village!" Blaize smiled.
"Oh!" Mayor then suddenly frowned, "You aren't a pirate, right?"
As a Mayor of the town, he needs to be wary of strangers. Even though Foosha village is a remote town, some pirates and bandits will come here occasionally.
"Haha, I am not a pirate. You can consider me as a bounty hunter. If you spot any pirates, just notify me I will take care of them.
See you, Mayor Woop Slap!" Blaize laughingly replied and walked away.
