Upon collision, the Fiery bird was fragmented into countless small crimson flames and rained upon Sakazuki and the Marines behind him.

Flame control! It's a skill Blaize gained after much practice. He can control the flames within a certain range even without contact.

It's not similar to awakening, he made it possible thanks to his perfect heat manipulation. His body emits high heat that spreads around and covers a specific range.

Within this range, he can control the flames but only to a certain degree.

"No! It's falling on us! Everyone take cover!" A Marine officer commanded while the marine soldiers on board escaped from the flames by running away from them.

Since the flames didn't have much force, they just set everything on fire upon contact.

Without bothering about the Marines behind him, Sakazuki rushed towards Blaize and punched. His Magma turned Fist blasted towards him in full force.

Blaize countered the strike with his own, by punching a dense column of fire. The flames turned into the shape of Fist and smashed against Sakazuki's magma Fist.

"Boom!!"

The collision triggered a huge explosion and inflated a heat shockwave that expanded in all directions. The heat engulfed everything within 500 meters and turned into a volcanic region.

Even the residents of Nanohana town some distance away from the battle felt the scorching temperature.

It didn't stop Blaize and Sakazuki from engaging against one another, they continued to struggle. Sakazuki exploded another wave of Magma into his fist while Blaize did the same.

"Ahh!" Roaring atop of his lungs, Blaize raised the flame temperature and forced the flames into his fist as fast as he could.

A single confrontation is enough to gauge Sakazuki's magma ability, the temperature of his magma is much intense than his flames but it's not enough to punch a hole in his attack as he did to Ace.

Soon, Blaize's fist knocked the magma away.

It doesn't mean Blaize is as strong as Sakazuki. As he knows the latter didn't coat his attack with Haki. If he did, Blaize would have lost his advantage.

Moreover, his flames are slightly weaker than Sakazuki's. It didn't discourage Blaize as he knows the temperature of his flames will increase once his devil fruit potential attribute crosses the '40' bar limit.

In truth, Sakazuki was shocked by Blaize's devil fruit power. He thought his magma will triumph over Blaize's flame but it failed. Meaning, Blaize's flame is as strong as his Magma.

What he didn't know is, Blaize's flame is not as strong as his Magma but he had superior control over his heat manipulation.

"Your devil fruit has potential and you improve quickly but today's the last day of life!" Sakazuki arrogantly claimed and rushed forward.

Sakazuki was fast. Swoosh! In the blink of an eye, he crossed the gap between them and arrived before him while his face and arms dripped with magma.

Sakazuki's signature skill. His pure magma fist punched him, though Blaize blocked the attack with both his hands, the magma blasted him away.

The magma ability didn't hurt him in any way but the force behind the strike hurt him.

Wiping away the blood trail from the corner of his lips, Blaize stared at Sakazuki. 'Even without using Haki, he's powerful!'

The difference between them is great. He can fight with brute force but against Logia fruit it's of no use.

He could tell Sakazuki is playing with him and he will finish him off once he gets bored. It's a losing fight, still, Blaize will strive till his last breath.

He can flee but if he does that, Sakazuki will target his unit and the escaped World noble slaves. The only thing he can do now is, fight!!

Winning or losing doesn't matter to him now. 'Since it came to this, let me fight to my heart content!'

As he sorted out his thoughts, a strong conviction flashed in his eyes; the decisiveness to meet death. Till now even though Blaize always said he didn't fear death, somewhere in his heart he didn't want to die.

But now, confronting Sakazuki who he can't defeat with his present strength, his heart grew determined than ever.

Opening his status panel, Blaize directly raised his constitution attribute from '36.1' to '40' with the 4 free attribute points.

He didn't raise his devil fruit power because it won't help him much in this situation. As for his constitution, it will help him to combat Sakazuki's Haki.

The improvement in the constitution attribute also raised his devil fruit potential to another two points, they were increased from '33.4' to '35.4'.

Aside from himself, the only person who felt his quantitative transformation is Sakazuki. With his Haki, he could tell Blaize got stronger but he couldn't understand how.

Even so, it didn't stop him from attacking as he could tell it won't change the outcome of the battle in any way.

Sakazuki transformed his entire body into magma and surrounded Blaize, intending to incinerate him into ashes by immersing him in magma.

Unfortunately, it didn't even make Blaize sweat much less burn him. "Sakazuki, your magma can't hurt me! It's useless to fight me with your devil fruit power!"

Saying this, Blaize effortlessly escaped the besiegement by jumping high in the sky. Lifting his arm, Blaize gathered the flames around his hand forming a miniature sun.
