Transmigrated as the Villain Boss's Precious Darling
Chapter 659: A Lingering Ghost
"Achoo..."
Jim Thorne sneezed several times in a row, rubbing his nose hard. He grumbled unhappily, "This scent is just like that wretched woman’s—so strong it’s making me choke."
An idea struck Tang Xiaonan. She grabbed Jim Thorne’s ear and asked urgently, "Jim, which wretched woman are you talking about?"
"Ouch... Xiaonan, be gentle..."
Jim Thorne cried out in pain, feeling even more miserable. ’This is awful,’ he thought. ’My sister’s picked up all of Mom’s bad habits. Mom loves pulling my ears. No, I have to teach her properly. I can’t let her become a tigress.’
Tang Xiaonan let go and urged Jim Thorne to hurry up and explain.
"Who else could it be but that wretched woman—Adrian’s old man’s mistress. This stench is worse than an outhouse... Achoo..."
Jim Thorne sneezed a few more times, tears streaming from his eyes. Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain as his hair was yanked. In her excitement, Tang Xiaonan had switched tactics, her little claws now gripping his hair tightly. She stared at the woman on the bridge, not even blinking.
’So it’s her!’
’No wonder she looked so familiar.’
’What a small world!’
’No, it’s more like Jacqueline Spann’s family is impossible to get rid of, like a ghost that won’t stop haunting you.’
’So, the mistress of Adrian Hawthorne’s father is actually Jacqueline Spann’s aunt. Heh... Jacqueline’s birth mother was promiscuous, selfish, and malicious, and her biological father and aunt are no saints either. With garbage genes from both sides of the family, it’s only natural for Jacqueline Spann to be so wicked at such a young age.’
’It’s just that the blind author of that book described Jacqueline Spann as this wonderful person, someone more perfect than perfection itself. I’m starting to suspect the author might just be Jacqueline Spann in the flesh.’
"Xiaonan..."
Jim Thorne finally cried out, unable to bear it any longer. If his sister didn’t let go, he was going to be bald. Tang Xiaonan snapped back to reality and sheepishly released her grip, even rubbing his head a few times to apologize.
"Jim, that woman is Mr. Hawthorne’s father’s homewrecker! That evil woman!"
Jim Thorne’s eyes nearly popped out of his head. He slapped his thigh. "So it *is* that tramp! No wonder the perfume is so damn strong. What’s that vixen doing with that little bitch? Are they working together?"
"She’s Jacqueline Spann’s aunt."
"No wonder she’s a vixen. The whole family must be reincarnated from foxes or something. A whole den of them."
Jim Thorne was surprised, too, and his contempt for Jacqueline Spann deepened. ’Not a single person in that family is any good,’ he thought.
"What are you guys looking at? Hey, who’s that woman with Jacqueline Spann? Why does she look so strangely flashy?" Amanda Chapman had come over. As expected of Jim Thorne’s loyal lackey, their opinions were surprisingly in sync.
"Amanda, that’s Jacqueline Spann’s aunt," Tang Xiaonan answered. "She’s also the homewrecker with Mr. Hawthorne’s father."
Amanda Chapman bristled. "So that’s the vixen you were talking about? The whole family must be reincarnated from foxes—a whole den of them!"
The corner of Tang Xiaonan’s mouth twitched. ’If Amanda keeps hanging out with Jim,’ she thought, ’I’m worried she’ll turn into a complete tomboy. She already sounds exactly like him.’
The two figures on the bridge began to move. It was Jacqueline Spann and her aunt, Bernice.
"Aunt, when will you come visit next?"
Bernice was about to leave, and Jacqueline Spann was reluctant to see her go. She and her aunt had hit it off right away, and she felt a closer connection to her than to Phoenix Golding. Her aunt was more beautiful and capable than she had ever imagined. Oh, how she wished her aunt could take her away from Millstone Peak!
But this was only their first meeting, and Jacqueline Spann didn’t dare to suggest it. ’What if Aunt Bernice gets upset and never comes back?’ she worried. ’I have to play the long game, slowly build our relationship. Maybe then I won’t even have to ask. Maybe she’ll offer to take me herself.’
