Chapter 65: 65 Make Me.

"Make me." She said as I was already at the door.

"Excuse me?" I asked turning back to meet her but she wasn’t startled in the slightest. She’d regret that later.

I could pretty much like Rhea out but I’d need a scientist or an inventor sooner or later and currently she was the only one I’ve got.

"You heard me, freeze magnet." She started a growl. "Make me take it down. Her teeth were out again and now so we’re the claws.

Fuck exhaustion. I lifted all the metal equipment in the lab. Vibrated the ground underneath for feet. Flickered the light overhead and gave her piercing a little tug for her to know I wasn’t fucking around.

"Funny how the literal dog-girl is making quips at me." With a slight wrist action the equipments all pointed towards her. "I don’t like repeating myself."

It pained me to say this, because I was a man who could appreciate a good doomsday device. And Rhea’s had the makings of a fantastic one.

Classic 60’s cower-in-fear and tremble-before-me aesthetics. And if I wasn’t mistaken, it even looked like she was installing some tesla coils. But I was a low-key bad guy.

I robbed banks, I didn’t level the world, mostly because it was too much work.

Superweapons were just asking for trouble of the wrong kind. And I didn’t want the BSA on my ass. I already had a feeling I was on their radar since I moved in.

I’d just barely avoided picking a fight with the Order while rescuing Glacia, pretty sure father-in-law would put in a good word for me.

The last thing I needed was to take on the government and all the supes under their pay. They already didn’t like villains for hire like me. Seemed to think it degraded their profession.

And hey, I’d be the first to admit the world needed the sorts of heroes who stopped alien invasions, globe trotting lunatics, and giant monsters as their main job.

Relying on capes or streeters for everything was a recipe for disaster.

The thought of leaving the rescuing of the world to privatized superheroing or someone who beat up drug dealers while wearing a glorified gimp suit left me cold.

Her eyes went wide as she stared and in the next second. "Alright. Let’s make a deal."

And there it was. I had a sudden feeling I’d just walked into the tiger’s cage while wearing a suit made of grade A beef.

I leaned away from Rhea as she fluttered her eyelashes innocently at me, her hands clutched before her chest. "What is it?" I said.

She nudged a finger up for me to see the equipments were still pointed at her like they were about to impale her.

"Sorry." I said and dropped everything down with a clatter. "Now, what is it?"

She grinned and flipped out her phone.

Turning it my way, she revealed a picture of a poster for some event.

"Here! Take a look. Professor Kord is going to be giving a conference on the latest in mechanical advances of the decade down at the Metropolis Institute of Technology. He’s a huge name in mad science. I’ve been a fan of his for years! And I really really wanna go!"

"Right," I said. "Okay. You don’t need my permission to go, though."

"Oh, I know, Miles. But I want you to escort me!"

"Escort you?"

"Yeah!" Rhea chirped, beaming up at me, clasping her arms behind her and swaying flirtatiously. "After all, I’m just a poor, cute little lady. I wouldn’t dare be caught out and about without some protection. Who knows what naughty things people might try and do with me."

"Alright. Look, there’s someone upstairs I have to wait for..."

Seeing her downcast her face like she was about to cry, "You haven’t spent any time with me, you know?"

Ha! Though I had no doubt many people would love to put their hands on Rhea, keeping those hands afterwards was a bit more suspect.

She probably had access to the sorts of weapons the Geneva Conventions were written about.

But if that’s all it took to get her to dismantle the doomsday machine currently filling up part of my house, it was a small price to pay.

Which, in retrospect, might have been her plan all along. I sighed. Looked like I might have to keep a closer eye on the girls than I expected.

I wasn’t used to managing other people this much. It was why I never kept henchmen around.

In addition to being expensive as fuck in the long run, in the short term you rarely needed them, and their inevitable workplace drama was such a headache.

Sure, you could send a few to take a dip in the shark tank as a team building exercise, but the problem with that was you quickly ran out of team.

Hence my reliance on Steve’s clones for all my faceless mook needs.

"Fine," I said, exasperated. "I’ll escort you. Why not?"

Rhea squealed in delight, throwing her arms around my neck and kissing me on the lips. "Yay, thanks so much, Miles," Rhea cried. "You’re all heart!"

I stared at her, momentarily stunned by the sudden outpouring of affection. "Uh, yeah. No problem," I said.

"Oh but it is. You’re doing me such a favour. Really, bossman," Rhea giggled as her hips lazily swung, rubbing herself against my bulge.

"Mmm. A big favour. In fact," she said, her eyes growing molten, lashes fluttering teasingly. "I think that one good turn deserves another. Don’t you?"

"You do?" I said.

"Oh yeah, boss," Rhea cooed as she slipped down my front and to her knees, nuzzling my crotch with her head."I really... really do..."

And before I knew it she was already teething against my crotch, her breath hot and seeping into the material making me painfully erect.

I sucked in a breath as she teased me. Damn, I couldn’t say I haven’t thought about this, but the thought of her sharp teeth sucking my cock was hot enough.

"Well," I said, resting my hand on her head, feeling her shiver in delight as I touched her ear. "If you really wanted to repay me..."
