On an open hill not far from the racetrack, a lone figure stood against the wind. From his vantage point, he could see the entire course in the distance.

He lifted his arm to check his watch. Just as the hands struck twelve, he heard a noise from behind.

A car pulled up behind his.

He turned to face the newcomer.

"It’s not easy getting you to come out, Master Rockwell."

"It’s rare for you, President Fisher, to have the time to come all the way from Jansburg to Rockwellburg. How could I not keep you company?"

"Bullshit! You wanted to keep me company? Rockwell, you only came out because I told you there’d be a good show starring Evan Fairchild, didn’t you? Otherwise, with that shut-in personality of yours, you wouldn’t even want to step out the front door of the Rockwell estate. You think you’d come all the way out here?"

"What kind of good show with Evan Fairchild?"

"He’s chasing some woman and dragged all of us into it! I’m a married man, and I refuse to be part of any scandal! Luckily my little darling trusts me, otherwise, I’d be in so much trouble!"

’Little darling!’ The pet name made Master Rockwell’s teeth ache.

Then again, thinking about the great President Fisher’s own history of chasing his wife, it was a tear-jerking saga in itself.

"A little gossip, on the other hand, would be good for your health."

Master Rockwell smiled. "Looks like I was right to come today. I don’t think Evan Fairchild will show. He’s not the type... Even if he likes someone, he won’t be like you."

"You think too highly of him! What will you do if he shows up today?"

"And what if he doesn’t?"

"If he doesn’t come, I’ll get on my knees and admit defeat! But if he does, what will you do?"

"What do you want from me?" Master Rockwell asked, looking completely apathetic.

"Damn! I actually can’t think of anything I want from you right now!"

"Then you’ll owe me one."

"Fine, I’ll owe you one." Shawn Fisher looked toward the venue, a confident smirk on his face.

Today, he was going to mess with Evan Fairchild and blow off some steam!

The rumors that he and Evan Fairchild were like fire and water were true. He just couldn’t stand the sight of the man, but he couldn’t take him down either!

Once all the preparations were complete, Jasper Rockwell revved his bike and sped off.

Melody Monroe heard a deafening roar and quickly covered her ears. ’Why is it so loud? It sounds like the roar of an enraged beast.’

"Melody, get on," Jasper Rockwell called out to her.

Melody Monroe took the helmet, put it on, and settled onto the seat behind Jasper Rockwell.

"Zane Langdon, I’m heading out first!"

’This is my first time on a motorcycle like this,’ Melody thought. ’It feels amazing!’

The road ahead was rough and uneven, but she was surprised at how smooth the ride was. The bike’s shock absorption was clearly top-notch.

Evan Fairchild was watching a livestream of the race.

In truth, he desperately wanted to be there in person.

The track was oval-shaped, about the size of a soccer field, with several high platforms for the competition set in the middle. The surrounding grandstands were divided into four sections.

The venue also featured a VIP section with the best seats for viewing.

"And now entering the track, we have racer number nineteen, Jasper Rockwell!"

"And he’s got someone with him on the bike! It looks like he’s not racing alone today!"

Evan Fairchild’s gaze was frozen on the screen.
