Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year
Chapter 420 - 418: Closing the Net
"So what if she’s terminating her contract? Ungrateful? Besides playing Willow Lynch, what else has Melody even been in? Plus that grueling reality show—fans’ hearts were breaking for her! All we ever see is how hard Melody works on her own! We don’t see Stellaris giving her any resources! If she doesn’t terminate the contract, is she supposed to stick around for the holidays?"
"I support her terminating the contract! Leave Stellaris!"
"After Melody got out of the hospital, she didn’t have any new projects. She had to go back to the production team herself and ask for a simple bit part, okay? It was Director Wallace who personally added scenes for her, creating the Willow Lynch we have today! Melody Monroe earned all of this through her own effort and skill! Stellaris is unbelievably shameless! No wonder Aya Winters terminated her contract with them too! Other stars have also jumped ship to Starfall!"
"I just heard the latest news! Melody Monroe is terminating her contract, and Stellaris is demanding a fifty million fee! That’s outrageous! With the way Stellaris treated her, was it even worth five million?"
"Stellaris might as well be robbers! I support Melody taking legal action!"
"Someone already did the math. Based on how she was treated at Stellaris, the fee shouldn’t be more than two million! But Melody’s own value is immeasurable! She’s beautiful, a great actress, diligent, and can endure hardship! It’s a crime if Melody Monroe doesn’t make it big!"
Raymond Ford read the online reactions, a fire simmering inside her.
As she scrolled further down, she was ready to die from rage!
"Melody’s treatment at Stellaris is like she’s some stray they picked up! That two-faced bitch Raymond Ford is the real favored child! Raymond Ford is treated way better than Melody. *Warm Wind* is almost over, and the more I watch Raymond Ford’s acting, the more awkward it gets. It was okay at first, but completely fell apart later! Melody and Zane are the only things holding that show together."
"And Raymond Ford is still trying to clean up her image. But she’s too filthy; some stains just don’t wash out!"
"Raymond Ford dug her own grave! Two-faced bitches like her never get a happy ending!"
"Weren’t there reporters who got pictures of Raymond Ford? She’s already been reduced to a bar hostess! Looks like she finally found her proper place. Took her long enough!"
Raymond Ford didn’t understand. She had clearly started a thread about Melody Monroe. How had these people completely derailed it and turned it on her?
Just as she was trying to figure out a countermeasure,
Claire Ross, who had been quiet, suddenly posted a message on her personal account.
"Justice may be delayed, but it is never denied! I have gathered definitive evidence concerning the fall that left me disabled, and I have officially filed a lawsuit! @Raymond Ford, expect a court summons!"
This post completely overshadowed the news of Melody Monroe’s contract termination.
Major media outlets scrambled to report on it, and in less than an hour, it shot to the top of the trending list.
Raymond Ford’s heart lurched when she saw the trending topic.
She immediately called Wayne Payne. "Hello, Wayne? You need to pay someone to get this trending topic taken down, now!" ’This is the last thing I want to be trending for!’
"Can you afford it?"
"Just get it done!" Raymond Ford couldn’t help but roar.
’No matter the cost, I have to find a way to get it taken down!’
She quickly scrolled through her phone, found Claire Ross’s contact info, hesitated for a moment, then dialed the number.
"Hello? Who is this, please?"
"Claire, it’s Raymond Ford. Can we meet?"
"Raymond Ford?" The smile on Claire Ross’s face instantly froze, her expression turning icy. "Raymond Ford, don’t you think it’s a little late for you to come to me for a talk now?"
