Transmigrated As A Stepdad In A Fantasy Doujin World
Chapter 77. Overflow
Chapter 77: 77. Overflow
While Mira and the cambion general traded blows deeper in the jungle, the open field had already moved on.
Few Minutes earlier:
Lily had locked eyes with the horned general on the Hell-Boar and driven her Titan straight into the path of his charge.
Lina had done the same against the scarred warlord on the Brimstone Charger.
The two pairs had been fighting without pause ever since.
Lily angled the wooden staff at a sharp forty-five degrees and spoke a clear name.
Overflow of the Deep
Kael heard the words while he cut down another demon.
The name pulled a brief fragment of memory from his previous life.
He beheaded the fighter in front of him with one clean stroke, then turned his eyes toward Lily.
’Overflow, huh? That was a nice one. Let’s see what that attack does. Is it like the hentai or not?’
A single thin line of water formed at the tip of the staff.
It grew thicker and longer in the space of a breath, then launched forward at high velocity in a concentrated stream that looked exactly like a powerful squirt.
The water carried so much compressed mana that ordinary demons standing in its path never stood a chance.
Several of them saw only clear liquid and thought it harmless.
The stream punched through their bodies without slowing, leaving clean holes and dropping them in place.
Kael watched the water race toward the horned general.
’True to its name after all.’
The general saw the lethality at once.
He rose to his full height on the Hell-Boar’s back, raised the heavy iron cleaver that already glowed with dull red mana, and swung it in a wide horizontal arc while the water was still midway.
Scarlet Cleave
The red edge met the concentrated stream and split it cleanly in two.
Both halves lost their force and fell to the ground as ordinary water, drenching a cluster of nearby demons who had already prepared to die.
Relief and confusion mixed on their faces as the harmless water soaked their armor and skin.
The general did not give Lily time to recover.
He seized the heavy chains that bound the Hell-Boar and drove the beast forward at full speed.
The spike-covered mount tore across the open ground, tusks low, each stride kicking up thick clods of dirt.
At the same moment the general launched another Scarlet Cleave, the red blade of mana cutting through the air straight toward Lily with a sharp whistling sound.
Lily spoke a single short phrase.
Water Shield
A half-circle dome of dense water formed in front of her and the Titan.
The red cleave struck the curved surface with a deep vibration that ran through the entire shield and sent visible ripples outward.
The attack dispersed into scattered red sparks, but fine cracks spread across the watery barrier like fractures in thin ice.
The general kept coming.
The Hell-Boar closed the remaining distance in seconds.
He swung the cleaver again and again, each red-edged strike hammering the shield with heavy, ringing impacts.
More cracks appeared with every blow.
Water began to leak from the fractures in thin streams that pattered onto the Titan’s plated back.
----
On the other side of the field Lina pulled a long spear from her dimensional pouch.
Unlike Lily she preferred close combat.
She left the Titan’s back in a short leap, yellow dress flaring around her legs in the wind of the drop, and charged straight at the scarred warlord while her mount continued to press the Brimstone Charger from the opposite side.
The spear tip already glowed with a thin layer of her own mana as she closed the final gap, boots striking the ground in quick steps.
The two beasts collided with a heavy, bone-jarring impact that sent a visible shockwave through the air.
Both riders left their mounts in the same instant.
Lina drove forward with the spear held low and spoke a short name.
Heavenly Spear Thrust
The tip shot toward the warlord’s chest in a straight, concentrated line, the air around it compressing with a low hiss.
He met it with the curved blade of blackened bone, the weapons locking for a fraction of a second in a shower of dark sparks.
The force behind the spear still drove him down onto one knee against the ground, the impact cracking the ground under his weight.
He forced himself upright again with a harsh snarl, slammed the blackened blade into the ground, and spoke a string of words in a language no one on the field recognized.
"KTHARR’ZHUL VOR’MAKH NETH’SSRA!"
The dirt around the embedded weapon cracked open with a wet, grinding sound that made several nearby fighters flinch.
Three skeletons the color of deep purple crawled free of the soil, bones still dripping with dark earth and fragments of root.
Empty eye sockets locked onto Lina with unnatural focus.
Bony hands clamped around both of her legs with crushing strength, locking her in place just as she tried to close the distance for another thrust.
The bones rattled once as they tightened their grip.
The sudden horror of the summons pulled eyes from every nearby fighter.
Brianna’s vines froze mid-growth as she stared at the purple bones rising from the ground, her green fingers still wrapped around her wooden staff.
Tina lowered her bow on the wall base, soft green mana still flickering at the arrow tip, her usual calm expression breaking for a moment.
Seraphine’s dagger paused after a clean beheading, crimson eyes narrowing at the unnatural rise of the skeletons while the head of her latest kill rolled away across the dirt.
Kael felt a cold weight settle in his stomach as he watched the bony fingers dig into Lina’s legs, the spare steel sword still wet in his hand.
High on the Titan Eira pressed both hands over her mouth, body trembling harder than before, black hair falling forward as she leaned against the plated neck for support.
Amber watched everything from the height of her own Titan.
Her sharp eyes tracked Lily’s cracking water shield and Lina’s sudden struggle against the skeletons.
At the same time she never fully looked away from the lesser dragon and the black-haired woman above it.
The broader field told a clear and different story.
The demon side held the greater numbers.
Human lines were being pushed back in three separate places, shields splintering under repeated club and hatchet blows.
Seraphine and Brianna fought two D-rank demons at once near the center, silver-white hair and green skin moving in tight coordination as they held their ground against heavier opponents.
Amber’s thought stayed cold and analytical.
’Take down the generals and we’ve got a shot. But that black-haired bitch hasn’t even lifted a finger. She’s stronger than the rest of them, sitting up there like the whole fight’s already hers.’
High above, Envy felt the weight of that stare and answered it with a thin smirk.
Her dark eyes lingered on the scar beneath Amber’s right eye.
’At least she has a scar that I do not. Maybe I will go easy on her when we fight. But where did that pink-haired bitch go? I feel like a babysitter watching over the queen’s family instead of fighting. How are we supposed to win like this?’
A sudden shift in the wind reached her from the direction of the jungle.
Envy turned her head.
The dense residual pressure of Mira’s final technique still hung in the air, carrying the faint scent of cut wood and spent mana.
She understood at once that the cambion general was dead.
Her gaze dropped to the distant figure of Mira stepping out of the broken tree line.
The short blue dress clung to a full, mature body.
Large breasts moved with each step as Mira paused to steady her breathing.
Envy’s expression tightened with open jealousy as she compared that figure to her own leaner frame.
’Why do I not have large breasts like that slut? Should I go and kill her right now?’
She kept her eyes fixed on Mira from above, then guided the lesser dragon into a wide turn.
The dark wings beat once, twice, each stroke sending a low pressure wave across the ranks below.
The beast began to descend toward the jungle edge where Mira had paused to catch her breath.
Amber saw the change in direction at once.
The black-haired woman’s intention was clear.
She was going after Mira.
Amber’s gaze flicked to Eira for a single heartbeat.
The small girl still clung to the Titan’s neck, eyes wide and wet with fear.
’It seems I cannot protect her for now.’
She raised her voice across the short distance to the ground, rough and commanding.
"Green Orc! Watch the girl!"
Brianna’s voice rose from the ground.
"I have a name!"
Even so she came running at once, green hair shifting with the motion as she took Amber’s place near the Titan.
The thought settled quickly in her mind.
’If I keep his daughter safe, Kael will probably take me to bed again to love me with his cock~’
Without waiting for anything further Amber left her Titan in a powerful leap, red gown snapping around her legs in the wind of the drop.
She landed on the back of the riderless Warforged Titan that still stood in the center of the formation, seized the heavy chains with both hands, and drove the beast toward the jungle at full speed.
The plated hide shook the earth with every stride, long horns lowered as the Titan gathered momentum.
Her thought stayed fixed on the coming fight as the open ground fell away behind her.
’Mira and I need to defeat that demon if we want any chance of winning this battle.’
