Chapter 737: Chapter 511: A Suitable Bay

Early the next morning, before breakfast, Xiao Mi and Wei Ziang set off to say goodbye, of course, they didn’t forget to bring the big sea turtle they bought, along with two large bags of dried seafood.

As they left, they could vaguely hear someone chatting idly, saying that they had money to burn and bought more than ten buckets of small seafood from the kids, only to pour them into puddles to play, and now they’ve all run away.

The voices weren’t loud, but the two had good hearing, hearing it all clearly.

The two exchanged a knowing smile, after all, in the eyes of others, they certainly seemed to have money to spend, that’s why they played by throwing money around.

Under Ling’er’s urging, they quickly left the small fishing village, and when they were in a secluded area, they put everything into their space.

Especially that big sea turtle, it was too heavy.

Then Xiao Mi took out some buns and soybean milk, and the two ate while riding on horseback.

Ling’er was always leading the way ahead, occasionally flying out to check if they had taken a wrong turn.

Indeed, it was quite far, after leaving the fishing village and riding for nearly three hours, nearing noon, Ling’er finally said, they were almost there.

"Just up ahead, about a mile or two away, hurry, once we get over this mountain, there’s a dense forest on the other side, we can have a nice cool picnic then."

Ling’er flapped her wings, flew back, and landed on the horse’s back.

Xiao Mi had already seen the mountain she mentioned, it wasn’t just beyond the mountain, they were already in the lush forest.

They rode through slopes covered in wild grass and thorns, it was evident no one had ever set foot here, not even a trace was to be seen.

The salty sea breeze blew over, indicating the ocean was indeed on the other side.

"Watch out." Wei Ziang pulled Xiao Mi just before she almost fell.

There was a branch beneath her feet she didn’t notice, almost tripping her, fortunately, Wei Ziang was quick to react, otherwise, she would’ve fallen flat on her face.

However, Wei Ziang was a little too forceful, Xiao Mi, due to inertia, was pulled directly into Wei Ziang’s arms.

Considering the two of them had already shared the same bed the previous night, such slight contact didn’t make Xiao Mi shy at all.

She rubbed her nose and got up, "Right, no one’s around here, I’ll let out Xiao Hei and the others for a bit."

So she let them out, with a flick of her fingers, Xiao Hei and Xiao Bai appeared, as for Xiao Mi? She searched for a bit and found Xiao Mi sunbathing on the roof in the space.

"Woof Woof~" Xiao Hei seemed a bit startled, it was herding sheep on the mountain earlier, and now suddenly the sheep were gone.

It spun around before it saw Xiao Mi and Wei Ziang nearby, and quickly greeted them.

Seeing Xiao Mi, Xiao Bai ran up and licked her fur a few times, then whimpered at the two owners, as a greeting.

The most prideful was Xiao Mi, brought from the roof in the space, she simply stood up, stretched, and then jumped onto Xiao Bai’s back, continuing to curl up to sleep.

Xiao Mi has grown lazier over the past two years, either sleeping or on her way to sleep, while Xiao Hei, of the same age, still bursting with energy.

But thinking they’re both quite old, it seems understandable.

Xiao Mi stroked them a bit, "Alright, go on and play, just don’t go too far."

Xiao Hei understood, barked twice, and indeed ran off excitedly.

Xiao Bai carried Xiao Mi, following them closely, curiously looking around.

Clearly, compared to the overly lively Xiao Hei, Xiao Bai and Xiao Mi had a more refined demeanor.

Wei Ziang held Xiao Mi’s hand, amused as he watched ahead, where only a little black speck remained, then it dashed into the woods, having no idea where it went.

"Their personalities truly are worlds apart, luckily the space is big enough for them to run around without feeling cramped."

Thankfully Xiao Hei is a dog, with an excellent sense of smell, it generally wouldn’t get lost.

Besides, there’s Ling’er too, they really can’t lose track.

"Too bad such a big forest, all the family’s guards are familiar faces, we can’t let Xiao Hei and the others roam freely."

Everyone knows Xiao Hei and Xiao Mi have been around almost twenty years, if they’re still bouncing around and live a few more years, there might be nasty rumors spreading.

Wei Ziang held Xiao Mi’s hand with one hand, clearing away branches with the other, while the two horses followed behind them obediently, without needing much prompting.

Once in the forest, they got off to walk.

The forest, untouched for many years, had trees growing densely, there were branches constantly hitting their faces, if they rode on horseback, everything would be smacking them directly.

Wei Ziang walked a step faster, clearing all obstacles, responding to Xiao Mi’s little complaints only with a chuckle: "No worries, next time we can go further away just like today, then let Xiao Hei and the others out to stretch their legs."

After walking a while, Ling’er flew up to take a look, then quickly returned.

"Hurry up, we’re almost there."

By then, they had heard the clear sound of waves crashing on the reefs, even the humidity in the air had increased significantly.

They walked another thirty meters, the view opened up before them, with the trees that blocked their sight vanishing, replaced by the endless blue ocean.

In the distance, the horizon and sky nearly merged, it was hard to tell where the sea ended and the sky began.

Sea and sky as one, truly so!

"This place is so beautiful!"

Xiao Mi looked at the scenery with delight, even Wei Ziang couldn’t help but nod.

What appeared before them was a vast bay, from which large ships from the Capital City they came from, even a hundred or a thousand could fit in.

The whole bay was like a huge oval, where it connected to the sea, it probably could only fit three or four known large ships side by side.

Visible to the naked eye, the bay was quite deep, about ten meters ahead, was a cliff, leaving smooth, hard rocks after being battered by seawater.

Below the cliff, the sea was unfathomably deep, a stark contrast to the beach they saw yesterday.

Xiao Mi surveyed it carefully, then pulled Wei Ziang’s hand, nearly bouncing with excitement.

"Look here, how about this, except for that exit, almost the entire bay is surrounded, and the water is deep, the buoyancy is enough, building ships here is definitely doable!"

It’s simply more perfect than she imagined.

Not only is it wide and large, even the exit is just right!

Wei Ziang caught her radiant smile contagiously, nodded without thinking: "I agree, then... "

"Wait a moment, my dear, upgrade, upgrade..."
