Chapter 614: Chapter 386: Rescue Arrives

"Sugar water, to replenish your strength, hold on, I will rescue you soon."

The deputy beside him caught the note, and Wei Ziang got the bamboo tube.

The deputy licked his equally chapped lips, glancing at the bamboo tube in Wei Ziang’s hand.

"Boss, there’s water in there, drink it quickly. You haven’t had water or food for a whole day."

Although he wanted to drink as well, the boss was the pillar for all of them; if he fell, none of them would survive.

He knew what mattered more.

Wei Ziang did not refuse and opened the bamboo tube, greedily drinking it down in one go.

He was not just tired but also weak, thirsty, and hungry, speaking required great effort.

There wasn’t much water in the tube, it was sweet and sticky, but it contained a surge of Spiritual Power into his Dantian, invigorating him instantly.

Wei Ziang was surprised but soon understood.

The deputy beside him was astonished: "Boss, you look much better now."

Indeed, much better, and the things Xiaomi gave him never failed to do wonders.

With a flourish of his military dagger, just that cup of water pulled him out from extreme weakness, and he could feel his brain starting to function again.

"Xiao Ba,"

Wei Ziang looked at Ling’er perched on a nearby rock, observing the surroundings.

Ling’er hadn’t left, but Wei Ziang did not distinguish between Xiao Ba and Ling’er.

"Young Master Wei."

Ling’er opened its mouth, its voice somewhat grating and unpleasant but still refreshing.

The deputy was shocked: "What a lively little bird, but wasn’t it calling you brother earlier?"

Wei Ziang was also surprised but explained: "Only two people in this world call me little brother."

The deputy nodded in understanding, comprehending that calling him little brother meant the boss knew who was here.

"Xiao Ba, one day, we can hold out for one more day, many are injured and sick, with no medical treatment, and injuries are worsening seriously."

Deputy: "Boss, does it understand what you’re saying?"

To everyone’s surprise, Ling’er glanced at him and said: "One day, injured, worsen, one day, injured, worsen..."

Then it flew away.

The deputy was astonished: "It grasped all the key information!"

Wei Ziang held back laughter, he realized Xiao Ba was definitely smarter than it appeared, even casting a dissatisfied glance at the deputy when it flew away.

On the other side, Xiaomi seemed like playing a maze game, swiftly finding her way to get to her brother while avoiding several routes of bandits along the way on the map.

Upon deciding the route, Ling’er also returned, bringing back Wei Ziang’s message.

Xiaomi didn’t say much, instead took another branch and let it go find the others.

With maps and detailed routes, advancing became much easier, no need to waste time climbing mountains, just run forward while looking at the map.

Fortunately, the fierce bandits here relied on their knowledge of the stone forest, so no one patrolled the area.

After running for half an hour, Xiaomi rubbed her head, feeling a bit dizzy; she thought something wasn’t right about this place.

It wasn’t the first time. Ever since entering the stone forest, she felt her usually good sense of direction was useless, and her mind often blurred.

This definitely wasn’t a symptom of staying up late or rushing on the road, there was something irregular about this place.

"Is it a different magnetic field?"

That’s the only reason; no wonder everyone entering here gets lost.

However, she didn’t know how those bandits managed to avoid these external influences and survive in the stone forest.

After drinking some more Spiritual Spring water and replenishing Spiritual Power, her spirits were much improved.

"Master, I’m back, are you okay?"

Ling’er landed beside Xiaomi, a bit worried, as her master’s face didn’t look good.

"I’m fine, did you find those people?"

"I found them, they were very lucky, except for one who tried to climb a mountain and fell breaking a bone, the others only had superficial wounds and have already made it out, wandering around the perimeter."

"That luck is incredible."

Xiaomi was jealous, her brother was suffering so much, and these people were so lucky?

Ling’er nodded in deep agreement; she witnessed it firsthand and was more aware of how dangerous it was on Young Master Wei’s side.

Xiaomi took out a sheet of paper: "Take this to brother, I’ll climb up from here, within half an hour, I can deliver supplies to him and his group."

Ling’er nodded, Xiaomi geared up, and used a grappling claw to secure her climbing rope to the mountaintop.

Once on top of this mountain, it was where her brother and the others were trapped, with trees only at the top and around the rest barren cliffs.

Meaning, upon reaching the top, unless one could fly, no one could catch her.

And according to the map, this mountain forms a deep U shape, but with a narrow entrance, while her brother and their group were trapped inside, she was outside of the U, and on the opposite side, those bandits were guarding.

Xiaomi took a quarter of an hour to climb to the mountaintop, retracting the grappling hook, and sprinted from the top to the other side before using binoculars to check the situation in the valley.

Seeing it was a shock to the system.

The entrance was piled with corpses, many starting to rot in the heat.

However, upon closer inspection, the bodies seemed to be those of the bandits.

Wei Ziang was leaning against a rock at the entrance, seemingly relaxed, playing with his military dagger.

About a meter behind him, someone had stacked stones into a barrier, roughly one foot high, sealed with yellow mud to ensure no liquid seeped through.

Further inside, many people lay, the sun was already westward, and many were leaning against each other in the shade to prevent dehydration from sweating.

Blood was everywhere.

"Master, Young Master Wei’s side is ready."

Ling’er returned.

"Go into space, open all the ready-made food packs I’ve collected previously, give them a simple wash and heat, and load them onto a bamboo basket."

"By the way, make a few more pots of fish soup, fill into pots, and fill several more with Spiritual Spring water."

With that said, she put Ling’er into space, simultaneously taking a thin transparent tube, a funnel, and a bucket of gasoline.

She couldn’t quickly kill off all the bandits, but she could make it so those outside couldn’t come near.

The transparent tube went down to places unseen from either side, and gasoline was poured down the pipe, the black liquid quickly spreading on the ground.

The mountain was high, and the people below didn’t notice.

When Wei Ziang realized something was wrong, the voice had already come from above.

"Brother!"

Wei Ziang looked up sharply to see Xiaomi standing atop the mountain holding a torch.

Before he could be stunned, Xiaomi waved her hand vigorously: "Get back!"

Wei Ziang instinctively retreated behind the stone barrier, just as Xiaomi tossed her torch down.

There was a "boom," a massive flame burst into the sky, and the scorching heat forced Wei Ziang back.

Simultaneously, from the other side came screams of agony.

"Brother, take a few steps back, I’m bringing you food!"

Xiaomi shouted from above, then quickly ran to the spot she had previously scouted.

From Ling’er preparing food in space to now, it didn’t even take half an hour.

That’s why she had Ling’er prepare ready-made food rather than space’s live organisms, after all, speed was of the essence.
