Train Survival: I Can Evolve Everything!
Chapter 905: This Place Is Doomed!
A livestream broadcast across every city, showing the execution of a renowned Top-Tier Train Conductor.
This was unprecedented in the history of the Wasteland.
What made it even more remarkable was that the person being executed was a member of the mysterious and powerful Emperor's Order.
People watched closely. Betting had already begun in many casinos, with people wagering on whether Fan Huo would die.
The vast majority believed Fan Huo wouldn't survive.
After all, Utopia City had spared no expense in its preparations this time.
Twelve powerful Top-Tier Train Conductors under Utopia City's command, hundreds of Combat-Type High-Level Train Conductors, a vast array of weapons, and all kinds of magic arrays and fortifications.
On top of that, any Train Conductor from outside Utopia City who fought within its walls would have part of their Spirit and Stamina ceilings suppressed.
And there were also numerous Transcendent Crew Members and powerful natives.
The Emperor's Order was powerful, but that was because its members were all individuals.
Many low-level Train Conductors thought that no matter how formidable the Emperor's Order was, it couldn't stand against an entire city.
So they bet even more heavily on Fan Huo dying.
By contrast, the Train Conductors who knew more, had traveled for more years, and had Trains at least in the twenties were more likely to stake their Train Coins on “Fan Huo will survive.”
There was only one reason.
Heinz had angered more than just the Emperor's Order.
According to reliable reports,
they had also tried to hire people from Abukado to enter Utopia City, but its leader had refused and gravely wounded the person who came to make the offer.
The leader had even declared that once every member of the Emperor's Order was dead, Abukado would storm Utopia City and cut Heinz down.
There were many more incidents like this.
In short, just as Ye Qiyan had once said,
Heinz
couldn't win.
“Silence!”
The blond boy stood beside Fan Huo.
He was the First Seat of the Twelve Fortunes under Heinz, Heinris.
He was an orphan with no name, taken in by Heinz in a Station World.
After following Heinz for many years, he became a Train Conductor and explored the Wasteland alone.
Only recently had he returned to Utopia City, where he was making every effort to prepare for Heinz's ascension to godhood.
Heinris swept his gaze across the crowd below.
He raised a hand and brought up a Light Screen, then began reading aloud from the words prepared on it.
“Everyone, humans are so terribly weak. Each of us carries within ourselves a desire called Happiness.
To make ourselves happier, we are willing to risk our lives exploring one terrifying Station World after another, all for the sake of those meager rewards.
Is it worth it?
No!
Because the Wasteland holds a power capable of bringing all human civilization to ruin!
That is the pinnacle! A true God! It is... the End!”
Many people had no idea what the End meant.
But when Heinris uttered those two words,
an unknown terror began to spread through their hearts.
“Perhaps many of you have never seen the End, and don't know what a terrifying spectacle it is.
But I can tell you with complete certainty:
It is a force capable of making the very concept of humanity disappear forever, and it absolutely cannot be stopped!
Humanity has never truly possessed this power!”
Heinris's gaze grew increasingly fervent.
“But now, all of that will become a thing of the past!
Today, humanity will gain its first true God, one who truly belongs to us!
His name is...”
Just before Heinris could speak the name of Happiness,
from within the crowd,
Ye Qiyan, ignored by everyone, interrupted him in a relaxed voice tinged with amusement. “Hey, you're a powerful Train Conductor, so you should know how unwelcome Gods are to Train Conductors, right?
Besides, who told you the End couldn't be resisted?”
Clad in the black Cloak of Evil,
with nine cards forming a Ring, he appeared in the sky amid the roar of the Silverwing Fierce Star.
“Where are you looking? I'm right here.”
His carefree words made people raise their heads,
and gaze up at the figure in the heavens.
“M-Master Altos!”
Someone recognized Ye Qiyan's false identity at once.
“N-no, please! Run! This place is doomed!”
Others fell into despair at his appearance.
“Haha! I knew the Emperor's Order wouldn't just let themselves be humiliated!”
“Master Altos is so handsome!”
“Yeah, he's so handsome and resolute. He's totally the man of my dreams!”
“Resolute? I think he leans more toward the feminine side. He's so beautiful~ I wish I could add him as a friend~”
But even more viewers watching the livestream cheered at his appearance.
Heinris furrowed his brows. He raised a hand, and the other eleven Top-Tier Train Conductors, hidden in various places, appeared in unison. Armed with all kinds of weapons, some of them stood directly atop their Trains as they faced off against Ye Qiyan.
“Altos, I knew you'd come. According to our psychological profile, people like you, who are supremely confident, are also the kindest and the least likely to abandon their companions.
You showed up every time the Emperor's Order took action in those other cities.
But it won't matter.
Altos, with us here, we absolutely will not let you interfere with Lord Heinz!”
Being targeted by twelve Top-Tier Train Conductors was certainly a little frightening.
But Ye Qiyan showed not the slightest hint of fear. He didn't even acknowledge Heinris. Instead, he looked at Fan Huo, still kneeling where he was, and grinned.
“Senior Fan Huo, once this is all over, you'll owe me your life, you know.”
“Cover me!”
Heinris didn't hesitate for a moment. A knuckle-duster engraved with silence runes slid over his fist.
He flashed into the air and threw a punch.
“Silence!!”
The massive punch could shatter mountains and reverse the flow of rivers.
Yet the instant Ye Qiyan's Wandering Star Holy Sigil unfolded, it was blocked dead in its tracks.
“A defensive technique based on radiance? Then let's see you take this!”
The tips of Heinris's knuckle-duster changed shape.
“Forbidden! You may not speak out of turn!”
His violent fists turned into hundreds of ferocious elephants that charged at Ye Qiyan's body.
But this time, his plan failed.
The Silverwing Fierce Star suddenly roared, carrying Ye Qiyan beyond the range of Heinris's attack.
The other Top-Tier Train Conductors immediately gave chase, but just then,
Ye Qiyan pointed his palm at the sky and slowly closed his hand.
He still wasn't strong enough.
At least, that's what Ye Qiyan himself believed.
With Sublimation, what he lacked compared to Top-Tier Train Conductors wasn't high-level items or anything like that.
What he lacked was pure, unadulterated stats.
So, to make up for the gap in their stats,
Ye Qiyan would do everything he could to maximize his own advantages.
That meant...
An endless array of top-of-the-line items, companions, and abilities!
