Train Survival: I Can Evolve Everything!

Chapter 867: We will definitely meet again!

The world returned to tranquility.

The power of Dream Trace had been completely consumed, and an intense wave of exhaustion surged over him.

This was the greatest expenditure Ye Qiyan had experienced since entering the Wasteland.

He had nearly used every ounce of strength he possessed.

The only cards left up his sleeve were a mere Door of the Death Realm, the Door of the Abyss, the alliance artifacts capable of summoning Shaya and Zhao Xi across worlds, and a handful of Revival Items.

This was also the most dangerous battle he had faced since arriving in the Wasteland.

The will of Colorless.

A True God.

The pinnacle.

Even He was merely a will controlling a divine corpse.

If the real Colorless had used His true body, who knew how much more powerful He would have been compared to this Twelve Eyes' divine corpse.

But...

No matter what.

He had won.

Without the slightest hesitation, Ye Qiyan sat down beside Colorless's will, which was like a flickering candle in the wind.

He pulled out a Golden Apple and took a bite.

"Phew... looks like you're going back."

The small flame of Colorless's will gently swayed. "Though it is a pity.

But so it is.

Next time, I shall use a better body to carry my will.

When that time comes, I will surely make you my Apostle."

Ye Qiyan shrugged. "Whatever you say, but the winner next time will still be me."

"If that is so, then that is also fine.

I am Colorless, and Colorless is me. I have never liked using so-called clones or abilities that split the will, so what came here is the will of Colorless.

Ye Qiyan, you have defeated the will of Colorless. This is a glory that belongs solely to you."

The small flame grew increasingly ethereal.

Looking at Him beside him, Ye Qiyan suddenly thought of something.

"Oh, right, don't disappear just yet. Answer a few of my questions first."

Within the slowly rotating Ring of Evil.

Bewitchment flew to the top of his head.

"Of course. Speaking of which, according to the way your train system puts it, you could be considered to have passed the Trial of Colorless. Three questions. There isn't much of my existence I can leave behind in this world, so I can only answer those three questions."

Three. That was enough.

Ye Qiyan looked around. The Ancient Battlefield, solidified by the Tear-Engraving Sword, was already slowly dispersing.

"Do you know about this

</path> war?"

</path>SupportVeterans

"I do not. But I was able to sense existences more ancient than myself within those phantoms from just now. Just like those two Rings of Sovereignty in your hands. The King of Glory from the Hero race existed in the same era as me, but that other one, I am not familiar with it."

Hearing the will of Colorless's answer, Ye Qiyan silently looked toward Red Tears, who was walking toward him from not too far away.

Just what kind of battlefield was this getting to be more and more absurd?

He had actually considered whether the extinction of the Golden Tribe might be related to this battlefield.

But the answer from the will of Colorless completely ruled out that possibility.

This war was far more ancient than the End War that had wiped out the Golden Tribe countless ages ago.

He took a deep breath and tucked that question deep into his heart.

Because this was a question that could never be answered through mere thought alone.

If he wanted to find that answer, the only solution was to set foot across the Wasteland. One day, he would be able to find it.

"Second question. The Hero race, the Golden Tribe, and there should also be Silver and Bronze? Tell me about them. Why did you bring the End upon them?"

"Because they stood in the way of our path. The Golden Tribe was born powerful. Though not equal to us who are born at the pinnacle, they possessed even more remarkable creativity. They were kind, earnest, and just.

Almost every race had received their kindness.

They led the voyage of their era, and all worlds followed their art and culture.

But precisely because of that, existences like them actually severed more possibilities, making that originally infinite road narrow, crowded, and unable to move forward.

Can you imagine what the end result would be if every race was imitating the Golden Tribe?

And so we denied the pinnacle and chose to bring the End upon this race.

We struck across countless worlds and waged a grand war.

The victors were us."

Colorless's tone was filled with pride. It was pure pride, untainted by any falsehood.

Like a Hero who had saved the world recounting their deeds.

The Golden Tribe had done nothing wrong. They were simply being themselves.

And these pinnacle beings had done nothing wrong either, because they too were being themselves.

This was not a war that could be judged by simple notions of good and evil.

Because this was a struggle without right or wrong answers.

The answer to the second question was not yet finished, and the will of Colorless continued: "The Silver Tribe were hybrids of the Golden Tribe and other races, while the Bronze Tribe came from further hybridization of the Silver Tribe. In a sense, they were existences of a similar nature.

In some abilities, they even surpassed the Golden Tribe themselves.

As for their End, that had nothing to do with me. That was the task of another group of True Gods.

As for the Hero race..."

Colorless fell silent for a moment.

"They were actually like me. Naturally born pinnacle beings of the Wasteland.

They were not truly a single race in the strictest sense either.

But just like the word 'Hero' itself.

Those fellows loved life. From the moment of their birth, they protected races, civilizations, or perhaps a nation, a planet, a world.

The Hero race had thirteen seats in total.

The pinnacle of the Golden Tribe was the first seat of the Hero race. With her strength alone, she fought seven pinnacle beings of the Wasteland Species like me, or even stronger, without falling at a disadvantage.

Speaking of which, I actually cannot understand how we managed to defeat her. Even after countless ages have passed, even now, I am still no match for her.

That one... chose to lose on her own."

It was hard to imagine that an arrogant being like Colorless would actually admit to his own weakness.

That pinnacle of the Golden Tribe, the first seat of the Hero race, might truly have chosen defeat on her own, just as Colorless had said.

"The other twelve members of the Hero race were also dealt with through the combined efforts of others. As for whether any are still alive, I do not know.

Ye Qiyan, I do not have much time left to exist.

Now, there is one final question."

Colorless's flame flickered faintly as He slowly floated into midair, seeming as if He would vanish in the very next instant.

"For the final question..."

Ye Qiyan smiled softly.

"Keep it for now. I'll ask you next time we meet. You won't forget, will you?"

"Hahahahaha!"

Colorless burst into laughter.

"Of course not! Ye Qiyan! Just as I said before! You have passed the Trial of Colorless! Those who pass the trial must receive a reward! Catch it! This is your reward!"

From within that ball of flame, a streak of light flew out and landed before Ye Qiyan.

The flame scattered with the wind.

Leaving behind only one final message.

"Next time we meet! I hope you will have become stronger! Human! Ye Qiyan! We will surely meet again!!"
