Train Survival: I Can Evolve Everything!

Chapter 125: End of the Fifteenth Station, Famous Blade: Tianliang Yueyin

  • Next Chapter

[Stamina: 135→65] [Spirit: 96→46]

One hundred and twenty points consumed for Sublimation.

The little wooden box in his hand showed no external changes, just like always.

[Level 8 Chest (Can be Opened)]

He closed the appraisal light curtain and rubbed his hands excitedly; his eyes gleamed with eager anticipation.

He couldn’t wait.

“Open the chest.”

The wooden box opened, and brilliant light flashed from within.

[Obtained Train Coins: 16]

[Obtained: Famous Blade · Yueyin (Level 8)]

[Obtained: Blueprint · Extermination Drone]

[Obtained: Mind Magic Cube ×1]

[Obtained: Mechanical Construct Reinforcement Core ×1]

Besides the Train Coins, there were four rewards in total inside the chest.

Ye Qiyan started appraising from the first item.

[Famous Blade · Yueyin (Level 8)]

[Moonshadow in the Crevice: Consumes Spirit to release moonshadow sword qi, performing light and heavy attacks horizontally and vertically.]

“Huh? Isn’t this the sword from the game?”

Seeing a longsword pulled from the chest, Ye Qiyan was a little surprised.

He had used that weapon in a game not long ago.

He really didn’t expect to get it directly from a chest.

He drew the blade and slashed—the gorgeous blue sword qi instantly cut a building before him into two sections.

This power was far greater than in the game.

Although Ye Qiyan preferred ranged firearms, this blade—both in appearance and attack style—captured his heart.

“Looks like I’m lucky, hehe.”

Putting Yueyin aside, Ye Qiyan looked at the second reward.

[Blueprint · Extermination Drone]

[Requires: 30 Mechanical Parts, 5 kg Metal, One-Time Thermite Battery ×1]

[Extermination Drone]

[By locking onto a single target, it continuously fires lasers at it; after energy is depleted, it can self-destruct to perform a one-time thermite explosion]

[Note: Up to 48 drones can be controlled simultaneously]

The drone had no level requirement, and its material needs were modest.

That one-time thermite battery was sold on the Trading Platform in the City of a Thousand Stars; not expensive—300 Thousand Stars Coins each, which converts to 0.3 Train Coins.

He bought a battery and immediately crafted it at the Processing Station.

From the outside, it looked like butterfly-shaped Mechanical Constructs.

If they didn’t attack, their energy could last about a day.

If they attacked nonstop, their energy only lasted about ten minutes.

No need to say more about the third reward, the Mind Magic Cube.

Top-tier material, essential for manufacturing the Hunt-Patrol Mech-Dragon.

Ye Qiyan looked directly at the last item.

[Mechanical Construct Reinforcement Core]

[When used on any Mechanical Construct not higher than Level 8, it grants a one-time advanced full-attribute reinforcement.]

Reinforcement?

Not higher than Level 8?

Ye Qiyan suddenly glanced at WALL-E, who was asleep by the charging station.

At the moment, there were only two Mechanical Constructs that were both worth reinforcing and the right level.

Either the Sentinel Guard.

Or... WALL-E.

The Sentinel Guard worked tirelessly; as one of his devices with possibly the highest KDA, its merits were obvious and needed no elaboration.

But WALL-E was different.

Ye Qiyan actually leaned toward using it on WALL-E.

After all, from this station it was clear that WALL-E’s searching on platforms was becoming increasingly strained.

He had considered performing another Sublimation on WALL-E; now, with this Reinforcement Core arriving at just the right time, it seemed perfect.

“Level 8 chests really do have great stuff.”

That said,

For most people, opening the chest would be the end.

But for him, this was only the beginning.

Glancing at his remaining Spirit and Stamina, he regretted making the Raven demon clear all the goblins and enemies outside.

Black Ebony’s new Extreme Sublimation ability could plunder the remaining spirit and stamina of killed units.

If he killed some goblins, he could recover stamina and continue Sublimating.

There was still time; a few hours remained before he could leave this station.

Ye Qiyan sent the Raven demon outside the fortress to capture a few live goblins for him, then killed them with Black Ebony.

Unlike when he killed the Goblin Legion Commander, the stamina and spirit plundered from these ordinary goblins were relatively small.

After resting for a while, the train’s Early Departure Privilege triggered.

Ye Qiyan pressed the depart button.

Exactly one o’clock in the morning.

After plundering those goblins, Ye Qiyan’s Stamina and Spirit had recovered considerably—enough, more or less, to complete this Sublimation.

“This should be about right now, right?”

[Stamina: 140] [Spirit: 125]

He picked up the Famous Blade · Yueyin.

He lightly stroked the blade.

What would this weapon become after Sublimation?

He was very curious.

Gripping the hilt, azure light flowed and enveloped the entire blade.

He murmured softly,

“Sublimate.”

Light burst forth; under the wilderness sky, bright moonlight mingled with the Sublimation’s azure radiance.

On the blade of the Famous Blade Yueyin, extremely fine moonlight patterns slowly emerged.

Silver moonlight intertwined with them, aiding the completion of its unique Extreme Sublimation.

And all of this required Ye Qiyan’s persistence.

Spirit and Stamina continuously drained; a strong wave of exhaustion rolled over him.

[Stamina: 140→10] [Spirit: 125→15]

A full two hundred and forty points required for Sublimation—truly the extreme among all his Sublimation items.

Ye Qiyan panted, lying on the bed, watching the long sword floating within the train above him, its pearly light flickering.

He reached out; the long sword, as if possessing self-awareness, touched his hand by its hilt.

[Famous Blade · Tianliang Yueyin]

[Weapon after Extreme Sublimation completion; consumes Spirit to release sword qi]

[Yueyin: Consumes a large amount of Spirit to simulate a moonlit night in the sky]

[Tianliang: In Yueyin state, an illusory full moon falls]

[This weapon is currently brewing a soul]

Brewing a soul?

What did that mean?

Ye Qiyan’s eyelids grew heavy.

Holding the hilt, an inexplicable comfort rose in his chest, as if the thing in his hand was not a killing weapon but a remedy that restored Spirit.

“These high-level Sublimations really do ignore levels, huh? Not sure if that’s good or bad...”

Level seemed important, yet not so important.

Ye Qiyan didn’t quite understand it; he only knew that his fifteenth station had yielded good gains.

He stored Yueyin in Armament Space, bringing him one step closer to filling twelve Armament slots.

He looked at the moonlight outside the window.

He calculated his Train Coins carefully.

“About right—tomorrow I can upgrade the Train.”
