Tower of Origin: I Evolve All Rewards

Chapter 324: The Broken Ridge Mirror Line

Chapter 324: Chapter 324: The Broken Ridge Mirror Line

The captured False Road Healer survived interrogation longer than expected.

That alone proved his rank was higher than the ordinary agents from Red Thread and Dawn Benevolence. His self-collapse seals were refined, but the Sovereign Network Command Suppression Crystal and False Key Measurement Severing Rod blocked the first two triggers. The third trigger Qin Mo barely stopped with a rotating resonance seal learned from Golden Bud’s escaped data incident.

Qin Mo wiped sweat from his face afterward.

"I would like enemies to stop improving."

Lin Xian’er answered through projection, "They are saying the same about us."

The healer’s name was false, but one phrase remained intact before his deeper memory collapsed.

[Mirror Line Three is exposed.

Move Line Four before moonless tide.]

Mirror Line.

Not a single road mirror.

A chain.

Qin Mo spread maps across the table and marked known interception points: Broken Pine Way, Third Ridge false camp, old bell shrine, mining bridge, healing spring. When connected, they formed a curve across the outer ridge.

Jiang Yuexuan’s message arrived soon after.

Old road mirror lines are not built randomly.

Three points test children.

Five points test route compatibility.

Seven points create false inheritance echo.

Nine points may simulate a road opening from below.

Do not allow them to complete seven.

Qin Wanshan’s expression became grave.

"They are not trying to open Hidden Origin Mountain. Not yet. But they may be testing false outer road echo."

Qin Zhengyuan’s wound reacted faintly again when the map line connected five points.

Mu Qinglan placed moonlight over the map.

The line dimmed.

"Moonless tide," she said quietly. "A period when reflected roads become easier to imitate."

Qin Mo stared at her.

"You know that term?"

Mu Qinglan smiled calmly.

"I have read books."

No one believed that was all.

But no one pressed.

The next priority was clear: find Mirror Line Four before it moved.

The escaped handler from the pilgrim student route had gone north-west. Qin Lian and Silent Heaven tracked signs to an abandoned mining settlement called Iron Cradle Hollow.

The name already sounded dangerous.

Iron Cradle Hollow had once housed miners’ families. Now it was officially empty. Unofficially, smugglers used its tunnels. Perfect for moving children, mirrors, and road anchors.

The coalition prepared a layered approach.

Yu Qingmei could not send large public forces without alerting all hidden agents. Lin Xian’er had two informants near the mining road. Silent Heaven could surround outer tunnels. Qin Yuheng would lead the inner team.

Before departure, Qin Yuheng inspected the False Road Mirror Shattering Lamp.

It had one full charge left before needing recovery.

The Child Future Sovereignty Veil remained stable.

The Rightful Key Boundary Crystal was too important to move unless absolutely necessary. It stayed in the Qin Estate, but Qin Mo created a weak resonance token based on its boundary principle. Not powerful enough to block major rituals, but useful for detection.

At Iron Cradle Hollow, the air smelled of rust and wet stone.

No children’s voices.

No visible guards.

Qin Lian found the first sign: tiny footprints in dust, then wiped intentionally.

Children had been here recently.

Qin Mo found the second sign: a mirror frame hidden behind collapsed beams.

Empty.

Moved.

Qin Yuheng crouched and touched the dust near the frame.

The Living Values Compass trembled.

Not false urgency.

Recent danger.

"They moved before we arrived."

Qin Yuchen frowned.

"Again?"

"Not far," Qin Lian said.

She pointed toward the lower mine.

"They went underground."

The team descended.

Inside the mine, old rails led through tunnels lined with black iron. Echoes traveled strangely. Not like Floor 133, but similar enough that Qin Yuheng remained cautious.

Halfway down, they found the first trap.

A child’s voice crying.

The True Voice Soul Resonance Bell said false.

Qin Yuheng did not follow.

A side tunnel collapsed moments later.

Qin Mo looked at the falling stones.

"Borrowed voice tunnel trap. Charming."

The second trap was a gratitude altar with food, blankets, and warm light. It invited tired children to rest. The Benefactor Authority Severing Lamp revealed hidden debt hooks.

Destroyed.

The third trap was more dangerous.

A mirror shard embedded in the tunnel wall reflected Qin Yuheng’s face and whispered:

"You could end this faster if they followed only you."

Crown temptation.

Still trying.

Qin Yuheng shattered it without response.

At the lower chamber, they found Mirror Line Four.

Not fully assembled.

Three handlers were moving a silver-gray road mirror into a circular frame. Six children sat nearby, sedated but alive. A seventh child—a boy around twelve—stood awake, trembling, palm hovering near the mirror.

A black-robed examiner held his shoulder.

"Only a test," the examiner said gently. "If the road answers, your family’s debt disappears."

Temporary test.

Debt.

False consent.

Qin Yuheng moved instantly.

"Stop."

The examiner looked up.

Unlike previous agents, he smiled with recognition.

"Qin Yuheng."

That meant they had a profile.

The escaped data had spread.

The examiner pushed the boy’s hand toward the mirror.

Qin Yuheng activated the False Key Measurement Severing Rod.

A beam shot from the mirror toward the boy.

The rod cut it midair.

Qin Lian retrieved the boy.

Qin Yuchen charged the handlers.

Qin Mo activated Child Future Sovereignty Veil around the sedated children.

The examiner’s smile vanished.

"You carry too many answers."

Qin Yuheng stepped forward.

"Then ask fewer stolen questions."

The battle began.

The examiner used mirror fragments to reflect Qin Yuheng’s attacks back at distorted angles. Qin Yuheng switched rhythm constantly, using lessons from Floor 132 and 133: do not repeat impact, do not trust reflected direction.

The examiner tried to measure him again.

The Boundary Token cracked but held long enough.

Qin Yuheng used Bell-Sword Echo Severance to cut false "temporary test" whispers around the children.

Then he struck the mirror frame.

Qin Mo shouted, "Method identified: debt-temporary forced resonance!"

The False Road Mirror Shattering Lamp released its final charge.

The mirror exploded into harmless dust.

The examiner screamed, not in pain but fury.

Mirror Line Four failed.

But before Qin Yuheng could capture him, the examiner tore out his own left eye and crushed it.

A signal.

Qin Lian cut the follow-up thread, but the first pulse escaped.

Partial success again.

Somewhere north-west, Line Five would know.

Qin Yuheng captured the examiner alive, but the warning had gone out.

The enemy lost a mirror.

They gained confirmation that Qin Yuheng had False Road Mirror Shattering capability.

This was the pattern.

Every victory revealed something.

So the next solution had to be deception.

Qin Yuheng looked at the shattered mirror dust.

"Next time, they should not know which tool broke them."

Qin Mo slowly smiled.

"A false countermeasure signature?"

"Yes."

Lin Xian’er would love it.
