Chapter 1792 - 505: The Sovereign's Summons, Secret of the Eternal! (Part 2)

But being this frank right from the start still made Lu Changsheng feel "respected".

In fact, it wasn't just Lu Changsheng; the other Direct Disciples felt the same.

The "respect" of a Master isn't something easily obtained.

"So, did Master's experiment succeed? Does the Soul help Transcenders advance to the Second Realm and Third Realm?"

Lu Changsheng asked.

"The Third Realm… at present, none of my disciples have advanced to the Third Realm, so the result is unknown."

"However, as for the Second Realm, I have taken thirty-two Direct Disciples, and countless registered disciples. Among them, three have advanced to the Second Realm."

"Three Second Realm experts, almost one-tenth of the Direct Disciples reaching the Second Realm—this probability… is very high!"

"In the Vast Universe, First Realm Transcenders are countless. Even if a Master teaches personally, to successfully guide out a single Second Realm disciple is already remarkable, counted as superb teaching. Yet my thirty-two disciples, plus you and Qingluan, in truth I did not expend much effort on you; I let you all Cultivate on your own. But even so, nearly one-tenth advanced to the Second Realm."

"Such an achievement, in the entire Great Universe, is unique to me! Therefore, strengthening the Soul greatly helps in advancing to the Second Realm. I infer that it must also help in advancing to the Third Realm, but alas, I only have three Second Realm disciples for now, too few in number, and none have advanced to the Third Realm yet, so I cannot give a definitive answer."

Flying Dragon Master's words sent Lu Changsheng into deep thought.

Nearly one-tenth of the disciples advancing to the Second Realm.

That ratio was astonishing.

Of course, as time passes and the number of disciples increases, this ratio might drop.

But a single Master nurturing three Second Realm powerhouses—this already counts as an impressive feat in the Vast Universe.

Second Realm powerhouses are not something you can just "train" at will.

Even a Third Realm Master cannot guarantee that they will certainly cultivate a Second Realm powerhouse.

Flying Dragon Master took a different path, having his disciples strengthen their Souls starting from the First Realm.

On the surface, it looked like he was running an experiment.

But in reality, for Flying Dragon Master's disciples, how is this not a colossal stroke of fortune?

"All right, now you can tell me why you suddenly strengthened your Soul during the first and second trials."

Flying Dragon Master slowly asked.

"Hmm?"

Lu Changsheng lifted his head and looked at Flying Dragon Master.

Somewhat surprised.

But it also felt somewhat natural.

Even Qingluan could tell that Lu Changsheng's sudden Soul strengthening was off.

How could a dignified Master possibly not know?

Perhaps this was the real reason Flying Dragon Master made an exception and gave Lu Changsheng three more years, letting him complete the ninth Soul Map.

Otherwise, even if Lu Changsheng had assembled eight Soul Maps, it might not have moved Flying Dragon Master.

Let alone made him break precedent for Lu Changsheng.

Only the Soul is what Flying Dragon Master cares about most.

Lu Changsheng pondered for a while, and Flying Dragon Master did not press him.

Then Lu Changsheng spoke: "Master, this disciple believes that the self in each dimension and timeline is still oneself. Even if experiences differ, thoughts differ, Cultivation differs, the Soul's essence is the same."

"Furthermore, the selves in different dimensions and timelines should be able to connect somehow. But where is this connection? This disciple thinks it must lie in the Soul. Then is there a way to make Souls connect to each other, even fuse with each other?"

"This disciple ultimately deduced a special Soul Frequency, and then kept vibrating with this Soul Frequency, hoping that one day both sides' Soul Frequencies would synchronize, thus creating a connection…"

Lu Changsheng's words made Flying Dragon Master's heart tremble.

"Did you succeed?"

Flying Dragon Master asked urgently.

In truth, the answer was already obvious.

If he hadn't succeeded, how could Lu Changsheng's Soul have strengthened so much?

But Flying Dragon Master needed a clear answer!

"It strengthened!"

"Once on the hundred-level Soul Staircase, once while assembling the Soul Puzzle Map—my Soul strengthened twice in total."

"But both times were very short, only a few breaths, and as for when the Soul Frequencies can match, there's no way to predict or control it, it's purely luck. Perhaps in a few decades, perhaps a few centuries, perhaps you may never encounter it in your entire life."

"Even I cannot deduce when the next time will be, or whether there will even be a next time…"

Lu Changsheng's words still left Flying Dragon Master deeply excited.

"Hahaha, I truly did not expect that you, a mere First Realm Realm Master, could actually create a Soul Frequency on your own, and with good fortune, strengthen your Soul twice."

"However, this Soul Frequency is different for every Cultivator, isn't it?"

Lu Changsheng nodded: "Every lifeform's Soul Frequency is different, and only one's self can deduce one's own Soul Frequency; others cannot help. Only oneself can experience that faint, mysterious Soul Frequency."

Flying Dragon Master fell into contemplation.

Lu Changsheng did not keep anything back.

How to deduce the Soul Frequency, and even what that feeling was like, Lu Changsheng explained it all in detail.

Flying Dragon Master immediately began to try.

That faint feeling in the dark…

Unfortunately, he tried for a long time, yet achieved nothing.

After a long while, Flying Dragon Master looked at Lu Changsheng with a complicated expression: "Perhaps this method of yours can only apply to you… at least, even I cannot sense any Soul Frequency in the dark, let alone others."
