Vespera Bennett touched her neck, which had a thin cut, not much blood was flowing, but it still hurt when touched, "I understand."

After Vespera left, Aurelia finally let out a breath, her tense body relaxed, and she rubbed her temples forcefully.

Was she too stressed?

With her eyes open, Aurelia could no longer fall asleep.

Aurelia went downstairs, planning to pour a glass of water. She didn’t turn on the light, intending to go back to her room after drinking. However, she caught a scent of blood in the air.

The smell was faint, but it was definitely there.

Aurelia cautiously moved towards the living room, the smell of blood grew stronger, and her hand reached out to the light switch. "Click," the lights flicked on and both the person on the sofa and Aurelia froze.

Alaric Wood bit the end of the bandage, wrapping gauze around his arm, his face covered in dried blood, eyes bloodshot, his mischievous face showing a bewildered cuteness, clearly not expecting Aurelia to still be awake.

"I thought... you were asleep. Sorry, I just wanted to come here, I didn’t intend to disturb your sleep, just wanted to be somewhere closer to you." Alaric hung his head low like a child who did something wrong.

Aurelia noticed the wound on his arm, "How did it happen?"

Alaric hung his head low, not speaking.

Aurelia didn’t press further; Alaric belonged to another circle, some things, just like Mason Nightshade and herself, couldn’t be told to her, it wasn’t meant to deceive, but rather a different kind of protection.

Aurelia took the bandage from Alaric’s hand and started to wrap his wound.

Alaric looked up in disbelief, eyes wide staring at Aurelia, joy dancing in his eyes, the sorrowful gaze lit with a ray of hope, like sunlight penetrating the depths of Hell.

"Done," Aurelia put away the things, "The wound isn’t deep, but don’t get it wet for the next few days, and try not to eat spicy or strong-flavored foods."

"Then... what about people?"

Aurelia’s brows twitched, this kid, taking people as food, recalling a scene from the laboratory.

"Definitely not!" Aurelia said seriously with a straight face.

"Oh."

Alaric nodded obediently.

"Sigh," Aurelia sighed helplessly, "Don’t hurt yourself anymore, and there’s more than one room here, there are other bedrooms upstairs, don’t sleep in the living room again."

"You knew?" Alaric was surprised, he always sneaked in quietly, not wanting her to feel as if he was constantly restricting her freedom.

Yet, he wanted to be closer to her.

It was hard not to know, Aurelia sighed helplessly, she couldn’t sleep whenever she changed places, even little noises could wake her. There were times when she went downstairs for water and saw Alaric sleeping on the sofa, his tall figure looking somewhat out of place.

Alaric followed behind Aurelia, a smile curving at the corner of his lips.

After lying for a while, Aurelia still couldn’t sleep, she tapped on her phone a few times, the screen showed Mason Nightshade sleeping, her lips curled unconsciously, sleepiness attacked, and her eyelids closed.

The filming progress of "World" was very smooth, Sawyer was grinning from ear to ear, feeling like he’s seized the second spring of his life. Everyone on the production crew was immersed in the joy of the show’s popularity and the pleasant filming atmosphere, none wanted this work to end.
